Chapter 314 Ricin's Bloodline Evolution

Varon went on to explain a few other things about the various Sin laws and how one could deal with them even if not on the same strength level as the law user, but to put any form of resistance, one needed to be at least cleansed by the worldly Law meaning being a Fourth Rank individual.

Alex also learned what elements all seven Sin law users would most likely wield, such as the user of Sin of Lust could have mastery over Illusion, Darkness, Air, and even the element of Light.

Caden, the user of Sin of Greed, who was his target to kill for the time being, had already shown his mastery over the elements of Earth, Metals, and even crystals in public, but he could also have mastery over Darkness, Decay, and even the element of illusion.

While the base element would stay the same, its nature could obviously change, like the element of Earth could be sand, metal, crystals, and so on.

The information was very valuable because now Alex knew what type of opponents he needed to focus on to be well prepared for his clash against Caden and even knew what to do in a similar situation against any other Sin champion in the future.

After the conversation on the Laws ended, Alex told everyone that he planned to sort out a few things before focusing on advancing to the fourth Rank.

He told everyone he would spend two days in training before taking a break for one whole day, which he planned to spend on progressing his strength in real life.

Alex wanted to spend more time in the real world, progressing his strength, knowing it was already a very slow process compared to the ancient world, but for now, this was the best he could do.

Varon and Elders supported his decision, and after this small talk, Alex was ready to leave, but before leaving, he decided to check on Ricin, his companion beast, who was inside a cocoon undergoing a metamorphosis for weeks.

Alex summoned Ricin and a giant crimson cocoon of a towering size that reached over twenty feet tall, with its soft surface having turned hard like an egg, covered in clusters of veins that appeared dead, but the cocoon was pulsing with life and eerie and rich Venomous mana.

Alex's initial surprise at the changes to the cocoon quickly turned to sheer delight as mere moments after the cocoon appeared, hairline cracks began to snake across the once-impenetrable surface, their sounds echoing through the hushed chamber.

Alex watched in anticipation as the cracks became wider, and within moments, small shards began to fall, veiled in an eerie black, viscous liquid. Slowly, the upper half of the cocoon broke down, and the inside was revealed.

Alex saw wings of a rich green color cascading downward like a cloak, and as his gaze followed the wings, a long, feathery neck crowned by the menacing bony skull rose above the wings.

Ricin opened his eyes, and with a sense of calm authority, his predatory gaze scanned the surroundings, his eyes holding a pearl of enigmatic wisdom, and an instant later, his eyes shined with light, followed by a mighty roar.

"SHHRRRIIEEEKKKKK" Ricin roared as he speared his wings wide open, shattering what remained of the cocoon, sending shards and liquid flying everywhere.

"You have become strong and quite good-looking," Alex said as he appeared before Ricin, who lowered his giant head and nuzzled his beak against his body.

"You need an urgent shower," Alex remarked as he gently caressed Ricin's feathery neck, and like agreeing with his remark, mist began to materialize around them, shrouding them in mere moments.

Ricin raised his head, feeling the cold, watery mist, but Alex patted him to stay calm, knowing one of the elders was helping clean the big body, which had dark, viscous liquid stuck all over his body, making him smell terrible.

In mere moments, Ricin was thoroughly cleaned, and even Alex felt a refreshing sensation and, as the mist dissipated, came forth gusts of cold wind that quickly dried them both, completing what might be the swiftest bath of their lives.

Alex stepped back to look at Ricin, and his new transformation into a Venomous Virulent was a sight to behold, an embodiment of menacing beauty dominated by rich greens and deep blacks.

Ricin now truly looked like a majestic creature standing apart from any normal beast, an imposing fusion of lethal elegance and foreboding menace.

The dome of his head bore a crest of dense, deep green feathers, standing tall like a regal crown. The primary feathers that graced his chest, head, and lower body were obsidian black, creating a stark contrast against the vibrant green of his wings and upper body.

This contrast was like a chiaroscuro masterpiece, casting shadows that added to the mystique of his presence.

Because of these rich yet blending contrasts, when Ricin would soar high, he would appear as a massive dark shadow, and when in sight, he would appear as a vibrant majestic creature.

Ricin's beak, now a menacing weapon, was a pitch-black marvel with razor-sharp serrated edges seamlessly integrated into his skull, a permanent and terrifying aspect of his visage.

Hidden beneath the dark feathers of his long neck lay dense, powerful muscles, unassuming yet brimming with strength, a testament to the concealed might of his bloodline.

Ricin now stood at just under twenty feet in height, and his wingspan stretched nearly fifty feet in length. His wings, resplendent in a deep, rich, and copious deep green, boasted feather edges touched with a subtle hint of black.

The central soft bone of each feather retained a formidable black hue, anchoring the lush green expanse, giving them newfound elegance and grace.

Ricin's legs, cloaked in obsidian feathers, revealed his white, bony claws, each one wickedly sharp and pointed, a symbol of his predatory prowess.

His eyes were a deep, swirling black, with the irises being a copious and mesmerizing shade of deep green.

Ricin's transformation had sculpted his body into a sleek and agile form, perfectly suited for the hunt in the skies. His physique exuded a sense of predatory elegance, poised to navigate the air with a grace that concealed the deadly precision of a natural predator.

After checking the physical transformation, Alex moved to the status window, which had also significantly changed.

'Nice,' Alex thought, happy to see Ricin massively changed stat, and more so because now, he knew his beast companion wouldn't stay stuck on the third Rank.

"Domain Ruler," Varon's voice echoed, making Alex drop his thoughts and shift his focus to him.

"I believe you plan to evolve Ricin's bloodline ones more, but I suggest against it at least for some time because if he keeps gaining strength without any understanding of what his true nature is, then he would just be a very talented spoonfed animal, who would be just a dead weight to you in the future,"

"So if you do not plan to abandon him or keep him as a pet, then I think it is prime time for him to learn what it means to be a beast and a predator of the wild," Varon said, and like understanding his words, Ricin let out a low chirp.

"I was planning to train him in the wilderness, but it seems like you have a better suggestion," Alex replied, knowing Varon likely had something good planned for Ricin.

"I have a friend Who can not only teach this young one the elements of Poison and plague but also teach him to embrace his true nature and much more," Varon replied.

Alex looked toward Ricin, who raised his head high, his eyes shimmering with light, and he felt that his companion beast, who loved to eat and sleep, was happy to take the opportunity.

"He will be in your care then," Alex said, knowing there was hardly much he knew about training a companion beast.

"Well, Then I will get going," Varon said as he opened a giant portal before walking into it while Ricin lowered his head as he gently caressed it against Alex, and moments later, he also stepped into the portal.

'Let me return to the Human continent and take care of a few things before I begin my training to reach Fourth Rank,' Alex thought as he speared next to his guardians.
