It had been Seven days since the evolution process had commenced, and the process was still ongoing, with Lady Enigma standing before the dark cocoon, her expression one of determination.
"72% energy consumed surpassing even Sir Erebus, and with just Six physique shards awakening, his physique had already reached the Ancient Grade."
"Any more, and will attract the attention of those who hungry wolves, and that would not bode well, neither for you nor this world, Lady Enigma said, her eyes set on the dark cocoon.
Lady Enigma stood as still as a statue, her presence commanding as she raised her, and instantly, the hundreds of intricate runes suspended in the air outside the cocoon began to emit an intense radiance.
While within the cocoon, the millions of thin strands of darkness, under Lady Enigma's meticulous control, infiltrated every inch of Alex's body.
As the dark strands penetrated Alex's body, a remarkable transformation unfolded as his lively body started to shrivel up like his essence and vitality were being sucked dry.
At one moment, he appeared to shrivel up, resembling a decaying corpse, and in the next, he was returned to a mighty, chiseled figure with dense, rippling muscles.
It was a delicate balance, a dance of life and death. Lady Enigma was forcibly extracting the remaining energy of the Evolution Fruit from Alex, and with it, she was also draining all his vitality, making him reach the death door every few moments.

Within the well-illuminated chamber, four figures stood in solemn silence, their expressions a complex blend of emotions. Predominantly, concern etched across their faces as their collective gaze remained fixed upon the obsidian dark bed.
"Varon, what did that old foggie say?" Lady Elmara asked.
"Same as last time. He said Domain Ruler would be fine and prohibited me from bothering him again," Varon said, not even bothering to shift his eyes from the stone bed.
Lady Elmara just shook her head in frustration and returned to looking at her workbench with her mind filled with a myriad of thoughts, but before she could delve deeper into them, she sensed a space disturbance, making her eyes shine with excitement.
It took a mere moment before the space above the stone bed became distorted, and moments later, when it returned to normal, Alex could be seen lying on the bed, still unconscious, with dark runes slowly fading away.
"Looks Like I won the bet," Elder Darrien was the first to speak with a small smile on his usually cold and emotionless face.
"You are still giving me your research on perfect cloning, or you can expect to receive your mighty axe after a few decades," Lady Elmara said, her eyes shimmering with newfound circuity as he scanned Alex's body.
Even after the dark runes vanished, Alex stayed unconscious as his mind and body had gone through a lot, from a seven-day-long metamorphosis to hours of reaching the death's door and getting revived back to life.
It had taken a massive toll on his body on a cellular level, and even though he was currently healthier and stronger than ever, both mentally and physically, Alex's body still needed some time to get comfortable with the new changes before he could regain consciousness.
However, Alex's deep slumber didn't stop the circuity of Lady Elmara as moments after his appearance, her workbench transformed, reshaping itself to ensure his comfort.
It also became adorned with its signature intricate, multicolored runes to start examining him.

After four hours, Alex's eyelids slowly fluttered open, and at first, his thoughts were a chaotic mess, dominated by the strange dream he had experienced.
The time he spent watching through the eyes of the unknown entity, the destruction he had seemingly unleashed, and the moment of such an entity getting stabbed in the heart without resistance filled his mind.
Alex sat upright, his mind focused on the dream as he tried to make sense, but clarity returned to him as moments passed, and instantly, his mind made a reset as all thoughts vanished, getting replaced by his reality.
Alex saw Lady Elmara standing by his side, Varon and Lady Margaret standing next to her while Elder Darrien was in the corner, and after trying to gauge their expressions, he took a deep breath and thought about what he wanted to ask.
'What??' Alex was about to ask when suddenly a random percentage number appeared in his mind.
"What were the results," Alex said, looking toward Lady Elmara.
"You already know the answer, so tell me," Lady Elmara replied, making Alex stare at her wide-eyed.
'72%. My body consumed this amount of energy?' Alex questioned as 72% was the answer that subconsciously came to his mind even after a few tries of wanting an answer.
"I am certain your body absorbed somewhere above 60%, but I don't know the exact percentage, so don't keep me waiting and tell me," Lady Elmara said, seeing Alex lost in thoughts.
"72%," Alex replied in an almost inaudible voice as he himself couldn't believe what he was saying.
Alex had a single number, 65.5%, in mind before consuming the evolution fruit, which was the amount of fruit energy used by the First Domain Ruler and also the individual whose legacy he had received.
Alex had hoped even half of that amount of energy would give him great benefits, but not even in his wild imagination did he think he would surpass it and do it by a considerable number.
"I am also a bit surprised, but you are not imagining that number, so congratulations, you broke the first Ruler record."
"I will leave you alone to check your gains, and after you are done, I will help with the fine testing," Lady Elmara said, jolting Alex back from his thoughts.
Alex took a deep breath as he closed his eyes to clear his mind and control his emotions.
Moments later, he opened his eyes, now much calmer, and before checking the system, he decided to check his body with his eyes as he didn't even use his mana sense because he wanted to slowly check the changes one by one, not to get overwhelmed.
Alex left the stone bed, and seeing him observing his changed physique, Varon used the space element to create a mirror before him.
'The changes to my body looked unreal, and thankfully, there are no mutations,' Alex thought, with a subtle smile as he clenched his fist to feel his strength.
Alex's outer appearance hadn't changed much, and he felt thrilled about what improvement had happened as with just clicking his fist, he could feel the drastic increase in his strength.
'Let's see what kind of benefits I have received,' Alex thought as he took a deep breath, opened the system, and went straight to the notification log.
