Alex's eyes glowed in pitch dark as he used the eyes of the ancient to heighten his senses, perceiving the chaotic battlefield with crystalline clarity.

The world in Alex's eyes was transformed into a monochrome tapestry, each movement and aura standing out in stark relief, making him easily navigate his way through the chaotic battlefield.

After the third Rank promotion, Alex's mental and spiritual state was boosted, allowing him to keep his unique eyes active for tens of minutes before he burned through his mental energy.

However, on a chaotic battlefield with hundreds of opponents, Alex could only keep them active for a few minutes at best before he started to feel a headache.

But as Alex's unique eyes had no cool down, he could use them for mere seconds to gain information before returning them to normal, essentially prolonging the time he could use them.

Alex's surroundings had transformed into a frenzied maelstrom of chaos after the chosen champion guild members started using Handheld Pulse Crossbows and rain-down energy blasts that ripped apart any weaker demon while scorching the flesh of stronger demons.

Alex weaved through the battlefield, saving any civilian he could while constantly checking the game forums to stay updated on what was happing in and outside the city.

The capital city Stormward had most of its strong individuals, like Duke Harold, stationed near the dark barrier, and even though there were strong individuals present, like a few high-Rank adventurers, Royal guards, and strong Nobles but they were of little help against a horde of a demon running rampant.

The Royal guards were a formidable force, but they were currently facing the threat of the demon fortress, as every few minutes, the Royal Palace protective barrier was getting hit with a death beam from the Soulreaver cannon.

The guards had multiple sixth Rank individuals among their Ranks, but they struggled to approach the demon fortress because of the sheer number of high Ranking demons attacking them, while the best of them stayed inside the royal palace for the protection of the Royal family.

The barrier that should have prevented anyone from teleporting directly inside the city was disabled by a few individuals responsible for maintaining it.

Even the teleportation center was under the control of traitors, who were using it to create a space disruption field, making it impossible for any help to arrive.

Any individual strong enough to help was in a dilemma of whom to trust and whom to not, as he feared getting stabbed in the back by his own kind.

The whole city was in chaos, and neither the royalty nor the nobles appointed for its protection could do anything significant, as a large number of strong demons ran rampant in the core area.

The only silver lining for the normal civilians was the Chosen Champion and Frozen Flower guild players, as both guilds used their overwhelming numbers to keep the demon at bay, saving the ordinary people from slaughter.

'It wouldn't be life if something didn't go wrong,' Alex thought, looking at the players going wild in the forums at the appearance of an old man who had stopped the army regiments marching toward the city in their tracks.

The old man who stopped the army was an Elemental Ruler, albeit at the early stage, but he wielded the element of space, making him a truly tricky and dangerous opponent to fight.

The army regiment had two Elemental Rulers on their side, both belonging to the Ice Kingdom, one being a Royal family member and the guardian of the kingdom, the current Kings brother, and the second being their army Supreme General.

Alex appeared in one of the broken buildings away from the ongoing chaos and opened one of the live streams, interested to see the clash among Elemental Rulers but more so to see how the situation would develop.

In his previous life, no Elemental Ruler came to save the demons, even when every last one of them got slaughtered inside the capital city Quivira and Siniawis.

The old man stood with a crystalline cane in his hand, completely covered in a dark cloak, with the only thing visible about him being his aged hands.

The general named Maevius was first to make a move as his towering frame vanished like a ghost and instant later arrived before the old man, his gauntlet being inches away from the old man's face.

Maevius followed up with a barge of punches which the system failed to capture even as a blue, and everyone just heard the sound of shattering glass.

Alvadrios made his move as everything in tens of meters around the old man turned to ice, creating a shimmering spectacle in the sky, but it was shattered as quickly as it appeared.

The old man stood in his place, not having moved an inch, while the few soldiers who tried to maneuver around the invisible wall blocking their area failed as they couldn't advance forward no matter the distance.

Maevius appeared before the old man, his fist pulsing with crimson shade, and an instant later, he swung it at the old man, and like a nuke going off, the sound sent shockwaves through the space.

But more than that, the space shattered around the old man stretching behind him for tens of meters, with everything getting devoured by the darkness of the void.

Alex held his breath, knowing that such an attack could level the mountain and kill peak Elementalist-like bugs leaving nothing of them behind.

But as the space repaired to normal, Alex and everyone else were shocked to see the old man standing in his place with no visible damage on him, with the only difference being the slight glow around his crystalline cane.

'He is delaying the army,' Alex thought, seeing the old man using his space element for a complete defense, not having harmed a single soldier.

Maevius seeing what his opponent was up to, looked toward Alvadrios before he silently murmured a few words, instantly creating a crimson globe with a diameter of tens of meters that devoured both him and the old man inside.

The globe looked like a mini sun as blazing flames ran rampant on its surface, but the soldiers had no problem standing in its presence like there was no heat.

Alex read the comments on the live stream, and players standing in the presence of the sun were going wild as there was no heat, no sound, and they couldn't even sense it was using their mana sense like the sun was suspended in a separate space.

Alvadrios didn't stand still to admire the beauty of the flaming giant, but instant waved his hand and, amidst the sound of shattering glass, roared the order for the army to march forward.

They had just started their march when the blazing sun was slowly devoured by the calm energy that constantly shifted between shades of purple and black, and seeing its appearance made Alvadrios eyes flash with panic as he disappeared like a ghost.

A shimmering sphere of frigid beauty, resembling a frozen world with its surface glistening with an icy white sheen, appeared next to the dark globe before crashing into it and seamlessly merging with it.

The new globe was in complete chaos as every energy fought for dominance before it finally stabilized, with more than half of it being covered in blazing red flames and ice white while the remaining shifted between indigo and black.

The captains stood in silence, mesmerized by the clash between the Elemental Rulers, but moments later, the captain took the command and continued the march, knowing they were of no help even if every single one of them stayed.

Many players created distance from the suspended globe of elemental energies but stayed at the battle scene, deciding to see the end of the battle among Titans and abandon their original task.

'So this is what a clash between Elemental domains looks like,' Alex thought as he closed the floating screen.

'Give me a break,' Alex thought as he looked up and watched the roof crack open as a towering figure landed on the floor, sending rubble flying everywhere.

The one who crashed inside Alex's building was an incubi demon standing at seven feet tall, with the face of a fox, with a thin body frame, and his strength at the peak of fourth Rank.

"I knew your scent was familiar," The demon spoke, his smile broadening as he used a mental attack.

'Let's end this,' Alex said before executing the phantom step and death point, killing the demon in a single attack.

Alex left the building to farm some more Ruler points knowing the army would be arriving in the following few minutes
