Alex canceled the Ruler pride skill and felt all the boosted strength leave his body, making him feel like a sick patient for a few moments, but then everything became normal.
Alex walked toward the Boss' body, and after admiring the work of his new skill, he touched its body and collected the loot, which put a massive smile on his face.
The loot Alex received was a low Legendary grade Magic staff, a high Unique grade Magician cloth Armor Set, a unique grade magic ring, Fifth Rank Unique flame, four high-quality recipes, and many alchemy ingredients, with one of those being the one he came to get.
'I didn't expect to get such a high-Rank Unique flame.' Alex thought, taking a small glass case from his inventory with a small purple flame burning inside it.
The unique flames were Semi-Immortal flames that burned using the mana around them and were used by the Alchemists and blacksmiths to refine material and were the core of their craft.
Alex held the glass cube and looked at the tiny flame, and after checking its stats, he placed it back into his inventory.

The description of the heart didn't reveal any information about the Beast Monarch or it even being a legacy item, so in any individual eyes, this was nothing more than an unrecorded legendary material that could be worth a fortune or could be just useless.
'Now that I have collected the most difficult one, I should quickly get the remaining hearts and give the complete legacy to Andrei.' Alex thought, placing the heart back into his inventory.
'The Ugly Merchant Guild owns the second heart, or I at least hope they have acquired it by now, while the third heart is in the treasury of Gold Kingdom that I could take after completing Price Darius' quest.'
'The fourth one would be available for purchase in the incoming continental Auction that would be happening in eight months, while Vlad has the fifth heart,' Alex thought, remembering the location of all the hearts.
'I can gather three of the four hearts in less than a week, but acquiring the fourth heart would take some time, which is not a big deal as the first three hearts would give Andrei six years time limit.'
'I can get the fourth heart by using a system wish, but is it worth wasting a precious wish to not wait for a few months?' Alex thought, contemplating a decision.

'I am itching to know what new enhancements the fifth heart would give but wasting a silver or gold grade wish to find that a few months early is not worth it.' Alex thought, deciding against using the wish.
The system's wishes were very rare and hard to get, and buying them was very expensive, and even with Alex's past life knowledge, he only knew limited ways to gain those wishes and knew of better things they could be used for.
'Let's check the loot and the system reward before leaving this place.' Alex thought as he opened his inventory and started checking the new loot.
'The system is generous as always to give such a high-quality spear, but I would have liked a golden wish better as I won't be using the spear.' Alex thought as he continued checking the loot from the boss.
'The staff is better than I thought, and I even received the recipe for the messed up evolution potion.' Alex thought after checking all the items.
After collecting the loot from the twenty guards, Alex used the return scroll to teleport back to the capital city, and then he went straight to the Alchemist guild to submit the quest.

"It was challenging, but I managed myself alright," Alex replied with a fake smile.
Alex was in Elder Nazruth's workshop for three hours, just sitting like a statue while Nazruth explored the research data he gathered from the dungeon.
Alex wanted nothing more than to leave, but he had no choice but to sit silently and watch an excited old man analyze pages upon pages of useless information.
"So let's talk about the most important thing," Nazruth said as his friendly expression turned cold.
"I want to keep all the research documents, the potion recipe of the Evo X-V11, and all the ingredients," Nazruth said and silently waited for Alex's reply.
'The items he had selected systems have evaluated them to 64% of the total value.' Alex thought, a little surprised by the choice of items.
The system bound Alex to share items of at least 50% value of his total gain from the dungeon, and as Elder Nazruth was responsible for giving him the quest, he had the right to pick items, but even he couldn't take more than 50% worth of items.
"I am okay with your choice of items, but I like to take the unknown heart as part of the reward," Alex replied.
"You know the use case of that unknown heart?" Nazruth questioned with a curious look, but Alex didn't give any reply.
"I am certain that the unknown source used by Abe to create the evolution potion is the unknown heart, but I could be wrong, but still, that thing is valuable," Nazruth said, trying to gauge Alex's reaction.
"So is the final evolution potion recipe and all the research on the evolution and different branches of Alchemy," Alex replied with a smile.
"You can have the unknown heart, but I will not give you any extra rewards," Nazruth said, putting the pile of documents into his space ring.
Alex smiled, happy with the exchange, as he was momentarily worried that Nazruth might insist on keeping the heart as he didn't select the unique flame as his share.
After agreeing to the item selection, Alex gave all the items Nazruth wanted, completing his quest, and after a small conversation, he left the room.
Alex exited the room when he saw Nazruth's secretary walking alongside an unknown person who could easily be distinguished as a wealthy merchant noble from his clothing.
Alex was walking toward the exit when the unknown Noble stopped him, and usually, he would have ignored him, but he sensed something strange from that person, and using appraisal on him, he discovered the reason.
"Respected Adventurer, My name is Hirkon Saurwolf, and My household owns the Saurwolf Merchant groups, a gold-certified trade company." The Noble said with a smile while offering a handshake.
'So this is why I felt such twisted and ominous dark presences from him.' Alex thought, looking at his stat information.
