'How many more of these bastards are on this floor.' Alex thought as he took deep breaths to calm his ragged breathing.
The fourth floor was massive, at least ten times the size of the first floor, and was filled with creatures of the third Rank with hardly any lower Rank creatures.
Alex entered the fourth floor three hours ago, and without rest, he had been fighting unending horde after horde of infected monsters.
Alex was currently battling against four peak third Rank infected and close to twenty early to mid-third Rank creatures.
'I don't see any more infected coming, so I should be fine burning some mana.' Alex thought as he looked around while avoiding the constant barrage of miasmic acid bombs thrown at him.
'Minor Null Energy, ' Alex mumbled as he activated his best damage dealer skill.
After Alex used the skill, his dark sword was covered in a thin layer of purplish dark energy that looked calm and harmless.
"Your skin is pretty tough, so Let's see if it could stand against the null energy," Alex said as he dashed toward the hulking giant charging at him.
Alex avoided the massive claw covered in dark liquid and slashed his sword at the creature's torso with all his strength.
Alex was expecting the sword to face at least some resistance as the infected creature at the peak third Rank had skin tough like steel, but this time his blade sliced through his torso like empty air.
'This is nice.' Alex thought with a broad smile as he watched the creature's side getting ripped open as dark blood gushed out like a fountain.
Alex didn't waste more than a moment admiring his work and moved his wrist and slashed upward, slicing through the creature's chest, neck, and jaw.
"ROARRRRRRRRRR"
The creature roared in pain and swung both his claws in an attempt to crush Alex, but he just used his sword as a defense, and the moment the creature's arm came in contact with the blade, they started rapidly corrode and melt.
'Let's quickly end this.' Alex thought as he pushed the creature back.
Alex started swinging his sword as fast as he could, and each time he did, it gave a deep wound to the infected or took one of their limbs, and in mere seconds he slaughtered all the infected creatures.
'This skill is just to OP, but why did it burn through more mana than It should have.' Alex thought, realizing that the skill used more mana than stated in the description.
Alex used the skill for 34 seconds, but he lost a little over 47K mana, and after checking the skill's detailed description, he understood the reason.
Alex needed to spend 1K mana each second to keep the skill active, and each time his coated weapon came in contact with something, a small amount of Null energy would be used, requiring additional mana.
'The skill is still overpowered,' Alex thought as he drank health and stamina potions to recover.
'The good thing is my level has reached 151 from killing these third Rank infected.' Alex thought, looking at the long corridor filled with chopped-up bodies.
Alex started collecting the loot, and after he was done, he left the area to explore the fourth floor and gather anything of value he could find.

'So this is the serum created by Sage Abe.' Alex thought, looking at a potion bottle with dark gooey liquid inside.

'I am surprised he successfully replicated the core ability of the Beast Monarch even though it is unstable and has horrendous effects on its holder without something to keep it in check.' Alex thought, quite surprised by the effect of the potions.
All the infected creatures in the lab had drank some version of the Evo potion, and the potion in Alex's hand was no different.
The individual who could consume the potion and survive would no doubt gain a broken ability, but at the cost of sanity, and with time, he would turn into a monstrosity with a mutated mess of a body.
The Beast Monarch legacy holder had a few unique abilities, and (Cannibalism) was the core ability, but it was a very unstable ability because of its broken potential.
The Cannibalism ability allow the user to eat any beastly creature and gain a portion of everything that the Beast had, which included strength, bloodline, knowledge, skills, and more.
The user gained more control over the Cannibalism ability as he grew in strength, and the ability became more mature, giving him the freedom to pick and choose between the things he wanted from a beast.
There were limits on the strength and attribute the user could gain from consuming the beast, but even with the limitations, the Beast Monarch legacy holder had a very high state advantage in the same Rank.
The user's body would forcefully digest the things gained from a consumed beast, and the ability that helped keep the user's body stable was called (Growth).
Alex only knew the very basic purpose of the Growth ability, while he knew a lot about the Cannibalism ability because of its popularity among players as one of the most broken abilities in the game.
'I wonder if I would find the potion recipe of this Evo X-V11 potion or some other latest version.' Alex thought as he placed the potion into his inventory.
Alex was in the middle of looting his last room when he found the potion, so after putting it into his inventory, he continued collecting everything of value he could find.
'I don't think any more areas are left for me to check.' Alex thought, looking at the updated map of the fourth Floor.
'I got a lot more high Ranking potion recipes and Alchemy equipments than I thought I would get, and after giving a share to the Elder Nazruth, I should be left with a respectable amount.'
'If Elder Nazruth is interested in Abe and his team's research, then I might be able to keep most of the loot.' Alex thought as he walked through piles of bodies.
'After reading all the research documents, I am confident that the boss would be a fourth Rank creature, so fighting him should be fun.' Alex thought as he drank a stamina potion.
Alex left the area and went straight toward the boss's room while chugging down potions to recover to the peak of his condition.
'Let's meet with a former King grade Alchemist.' Alex thought as he pushed the door open and entered the boss room.
The boss room was quite spacious, and the first thing that Alex noticed was the tens of hideous-looking abominations standing in line with their back toward him, and at the end of the room was a giant throne on which a man was seated who was looking straight at him.
After seeing Alex walk into the room, the man on the throne's eyes shone with golden light, and Alex immediately felt a heavy aura weight on his body.
'A gravity magician.' Alex thought as he felt his weight increase with every passing moment.
'How did a team of twenty-third Rank players kill this monster while dealing with twenty of these monstrosities.' Alex thought, checking the stats of all the guards and the boss.

'Now I can use the Ruler Pride skill and burn some stat without feeling like I wasted them.' Alex thought as he got ready to use the skill he had been itching to use from the moment he received it.
Alex was never worried about the main boss even though he knew it was a hidden dungeon and its boss monster would be of a Rank higher than the dungeon limit, all because of his Ruler Pride skill.
Alex was hoping to use the skill, but he also didn't want to just waste his intelligence stat if the dungeon could be handled without using the skill, but now he had no choice but to use the skill and increase his strength by a Rank.
