"It looks like you need to experience the pain of getting your body burned by the elemental flame." The Death Knight said as he extended his flame-covered hand toward Alex, but it was stopped inches from Alex's neck.
"You should have controlled your greed, inhabiter of Mystic Realm." A calm voice came, which placed a smile on Alex's face.
The Death Knight started shivering with fear as the raging gray flame on his hand, and the screaming Lich vanished as even the sword in his hand was dropped to the ground.
"Domain Ruler, You want to kill them?" Darrien said while releasing a suffocating aura that kept the Death Knight and Lich from moving a finger.
"Nope," Alex said, shaking his head, knowing he would gain zero exp even if he killed them with the help of Darrien.
"GORE DOMAIN"
Darrien didn't ask twice and calmly said two words, and instantly everything around him turned to a land of blood and gore with mangled bodies of small and big creatures lying everywhere.
Alex was beyond shock as he could see the ocean of blood and mangled bodies stretched in all directions for as far as his sight could reach.
The new development messed with Alex's brain as he knew that the area of the cave was only a few hundred meters, and what he was looking at was at least a few kilometers in each direction.
"True Blood Rot."
Darrien said a few words, and instantly the bodies of both the Lich and Death Knight started to turn red and then disintegrate, and in a few moments, they were turned into nothing but gooey blood that got mixed into the ocean of blood and gore.
"Snap"
Darrien snapped his finger, and the ocean of blood and gore vanished without leaving any mark on the ground like it was never present in the first place.
Alex's brain went blank seeing the insane development, and it was hard for his brain to not just explain the phenomena as nothing but an illusion, but the empty robe and the ring of the Lich and the spikey armor of the Death Knight told Alex that everything was true.
'What the Hell just happened.' Alex thought, his heartbeat going wild as he looked toward Darrien, who stood silently, giving him a black look.
'Darrien, you could have killed these weaklings without unleashing your elemental domain.' Lady Margaret said telepathically.
'I wanted to show him what true strength looks like to make sure his ego doesn't inflate too high after fighting higher Rank opponents.' Darrien replied, looking at Alex, who had a lost look.
'This was definitely the scariest experience I had in both of my lives.' Alex thought as he took a deep breath, as even imagining the last few seconds sent chills down his spine.
Alex had seen the cities filled with blood and mangled bodies, which even to this day made him feel a little fear, but compared to the ocean of blood and gore that he just saw, those cities looked like flower fields.
"Domain Ruler, The technique I just used is called the 'Elemental Domain,' and it is an exclusive skill of all elemental Rulers,"
"The Elemental Domain, in essence, is a Law Zone of my element in which there are no elemental laws other than blood which I have complete control over, so unless my opponent is an elemental Ruler and could create his own elemental domain, he has no power inside my domain," Darrien said, seeing Alex regaining focus.
'I knew it should be the legendary Elemental Domain.' Alex thought, returning his breathing to normal.
"Elder Darrien, thanks for saving my life," Alex said, having a newfound respect for his shadow guardians.
Alex knew that elemental Rulers were at the apex of the world, and they had the strength to move kingdoms if they so desired, but he had never seen one in action, so the respect he gave them was just for being strong.
"Domain Ruler, You don't need to overthink about the Elemental Domain, as it was just a little trick that you will be able to do in the future." Lady Margaret said in her sweet and energetic voice.
'I will achieve it before any other player.' Alex thought, making a goal to accomplish.
Alex knew he was destined to reach the elemental Ruler Rank because of his legacy, and in his past life, he would be satisfied with achieving that, but after his encounters, in the last few months, he understood that achieving that level of strength meant very little in the grand scheme of things.
"Domain Ruler, Can you show me the Lich magic staff," Darrien said, and Alex instantly took the dark bone staff out from his inventory and handed it to him.
"This is good....very good," Darrien said as he held the bone staff that slowly crumbled into dust, leaving only a small dark cube behind that was previously embedded on top of the staff.
"I never imagined I would see one of the Doom creations in the hand of a weak undead." Lady Margaret said with surprise as she looked at the dark cube floating in the air.
'DOOM?' Alex thought as he quickly used appraisal on the cube, and what he saw was surprising enough that he felt like the hard floor had just vanished from under his foot.

"I have read that Doom artifacts are one of the greatest artifacts to be found in this world, and seeing one, I can see those words are not exaggerating," Alex said to gain some knowledge on the Doom.
"There is no solid information on the Doom artifacts and their creator, but indeed every Doom artifact that has appeared throughout history was a priceless treasure that strong people gambled their life to acquire," Darrien said as he gave the cube to Alex.
"Domain You will need a proper vessel to use the capabilities of this cube, and I think I know the perfect magic staff." Lady Margaret said, and seeing Alex interested, she continued with her suggestion.
"You should place this cube as the core of "Hubris," and I like to inform you that it is a peak Mythic quality staff that was the personal magic staff of the Fourth Ruler [Gaillard Ehrhard]." Lady Margaret said, saying everything with respect and pride.
'The fourth Ruler was a great magician, probably one of the best this world has seen, so his magic staff should also be one of the best, but the question is how will I acquire it.' Alex thought.
"You can take the magic staff from the Ruler's treasury after you could access the second portion of the treasury, which you will be able to do after you reach the fourth Rank." Lady Margaret said.
