After failing for the first time, Alex tried once more, and this time he successfully executed the Darkness Bind spell, which surprised him a lot, but he stayed calm and started remembering the second spell.
Alex learned the Darkness Beam spell in just ten minutes and executed it perfectly, and then Lady Margaret gave him two more spells (Darkness Shield) and (Darkness Blast) which he also learned to cast in a little over thirty minutes.
"Domain Ruler, I believe learning four Mortal Rank Spells should be enough, and now, you should practice them to a level where you can instantly cast them." Lady Margaret said in her serene voice, seeing Alex successfully casting the fourth Spell.
'She doesn't look surprised that I was able to learn Four spells in less than an hour.' Alex thought as he heard the system notification.

Alex mastered instant casting of all four spells in just two hours, and now he was going to test them in the heat of a fast pace battle.
Alex sprinted toward Darrien, who stood silently like a statue, and just as he made the magic circle to cast the darkness blast skill, a spear made from blood zapped through the air and destroyed it before it could even get completed.
'What the Hell?' Alex thought, surprised by the sudden attack, but he didn't linger on that thought for even a second and instantly cast the darkness shield skill, which was smashed by a heavy impact moments after it came into existence.

'He is ready to kill me.' Alex thought as he jumped to the right to save his life as a second blood spear tore through his newly created darkness shield.
Alex rolled on the then used the darkness beam skill, and after a split second later, a beam of condensed darkness was shot toward Darrien, but before it could travel half the distance, it was obliterated by a blood spear.
After destroying the beam of darkness, the blood spear zipped through the air and came inches away from Alex's head, which he parried using his sword, changing the spear's trajectory and saving himself from getting one shot.
"This should be enough," Darrien said as he appeared before Alex.
"Domain Ruler, You have good fundamentals for fighting with both sword and magic, and even though you make many mistakes, those could be corrected in time with practice, but I want to ask you a few questions."
"What was your Class and Rank before you acquired the First Ruler Legacy," Darrien said.
"I was a first Rank warrior, with my base class being a swordsman and my second class being a Magician," Alex replied.
"One last question what weapon do you prefer because? I have seen you use a great sword and a long sword, and your mastery of both weapons was on a similar level." Darrien asked.
'I never really cared about my choice of weapon in my previous life as I used whatever good quality weapon I could find.' Alex thought, trying to pick a favorite.
Alex had learned to use from one-hand swords to dual battle axes and sometimes magic staffs as he was a mercenary who took every mission, and becoming the damage dealer for rich newbie players to taking the role of a tank meat shield was a normal day in his previous life.
"I will pick the long sword as my favorite weapon to use," Alex replied after deciding between the great sword and the long sword, but after thinking for a few seconds, he chose the long sword because of its reach and mobility.
"Domain Ruler, You will spend two hours every day for the next month learning the basics of wielding a long sword," Darrien said.
"Domain Ruler, these are the First Rank version of the four spells you have learned, and as these are just the advanced version of the same basic spells, learning them would take less effect." Lady Margaret said as she handed four new parchments.
'I need to log out in a few hours as it is already over two days since I last ate something in real life.' Alex thought as he picked the first parchment to memorize the magic circles.

'Finally, I did it.' Alex thought as he collapsed his back with his body drenched in sweat and blood.
Alex had just finished a battle with Darrien, and just like every time, he didn't hold back and forced him into situations to utilize specific spells to save his life.
Alex's daily routine in the last twenty-three days was unpleasant as he spent all his time learning the complicated spells of Second Rank that he failed to cast more time than he could count.
The little break Alex had in the twenty-four hour was spent learning the way of the sword in intense gravity that started from 10G, and on the twenty-third day, it was set at 32G, which was enough for him to feel like his inside was getting crushed.
The only time Alex truly took a break was when he logged out for eight hours after every three days, and that time he spent on was taking a nap, eating, showering, and spending time with his family.
Alex had spent the last twenty-three days doing nothing but learning new spells and mastering them in a fast pace battle, and the results he achieved were even beyond his wild imagination.

After sprinting for close to an hour, Alex reached the northern area, and with a bit of effort, he located an ice cave and a perfect creature to start his hunt with.
'This should be a good opponent to test a few skills.' Alex thought, looking at a beautiful white lion.
