Alex had the idea to use power-level services to reach the peak of each Rank and quickly complete the promotion quests to reach the peak of the third Rank in thirty days, but after remembering his past life mistakes, he immediately dropped the idea.
Alex understood that if his foundation was weak, it would only get worse as he progressed to higher Ranks, and eventually, he would hit a barrier that he couldn't break, and it would be too late to correct his mistakes.
'Let's ask Varon about the treasury.' Alex thought with a hidden smile.
"Varon, I was told by Sir Erebus that as the Ruler of the Malefis Domain, I will also be the Ruler of Abrus kingdom," Alex asked.
Alex's end goal was the kingdom treasury, but he couldn't just shamelessly ask about it, so he decided to use the conversation flow to learn about it.
"Yes, You are the Ruler of the Abrus kingdom, but you don't need to worry about managing it as the whole kingdom is made out of big and small clans that each has a chosen patriarch, and they are perfectly managing their clan," Varon replied.
'It is good I do not need to waste time playing the role of the king, but there is a problem.' Alex thought.
"In a kingdom, a king has absolute authority, which I clearly don't have as most, if not all, clan leaders don't really recognize me as the Ruler, so doesn't that make me just a king in name and status with zero authority," Alex said.
Alex was not upset by his conclusion as he didn't give a crap about being a king or his kingly duties because they were just extra headaches that he never planned to handle in the first place.
"You are right about your thinking because the status of the Ruler and the King are closely linked, but your status still grants you many privileges," Varon replied.
"The privileges include a yearly tribute from every clan, their complete support in case of any war, and full control over the land of the Abrus kingdom, allowing you the authority to give or take from any clan or Inhabitants," Varon said.
'I wonder how much and what will be the yearly tribute?' Alex thought, only focusing on the good part.
"Varon, Do you have anything important to tell me about the Malefis Domain?" Alex asked.
"Domain Ruler, there are many things, but you will learn them as you spend more in the Domain, so for the time being, just focus on increasing your strength and making progress as the Ruler," Varon replied.
"Varon, If there is nothing important that needs my presence, then I want to go to the Human continent," Alex said.
"I will ask Queen Bellatrix to send a few of her trusted clan members who will accompany you as your shadow guards," Varon said.
'I thought Varon would accompany me as he is a guardian with the job of protecting my life.' Alex thought.
"You are not coming with me as my guardian?" Alex asked.
"I can't leave the domain for a long period because of a few special circumstances, but the vampire clan member who will accompany you will be qualified to handle any situation," Varon replied as he took out a communication slip in the shape of a plain white badge.
'I should tell Varon that I will be meeting with people from the human empire who probably don't have good intentions as they have arranged a forceful meeting using Badger.' Alex thought.
Alex didn't have any clue about the intention behind the search for him by the people from the empire, but he was not worried about meeting them because of Varon.
"Varon, I want to tell you something important," Alex said, seeing Varon place the communication slip back in his space ring.
After gaining Varon's attention, Alex started explaining the situation with Badger and the forceful meeting arranged by the people from the human empire.
"Domain Ruler, If the human empire or anyone else intends to harm you, they will regret it," Varon said with a smile.
"Domain Ruler, The vampire clan member, will arrive in a few hours, so in the meantime, why don't I give you the tour of the Palace," Varon said.
'The Palace tour should also include the tour of the treasury.' Alex thought with shining eyes and stood up from the throne, ready for the palace tour.
Varon led the way and started introducing different areas of the palace and palace staff, which included maids, Royal guards, knights, and so on.
"Domain Ruler, My name is Ealirel Faeroris, and I am the Head Maid of the palace." A beautiful Elf lady said while slightly bowing in a show of her respect.
'This is just ludicrous.' Alex thought, looking at the Head maid stat window.

'She is a peak Sixth Rank magician, and she is working as just a maid?' Alex thought, astonished.
"Lady Ealirel, It is my pleasure meeting with you," Alex said, not introducing himself because Varon had already told everyone in the palace about him, or at least that is what he told him.
"Domain Ruler, If you need anything done in the palace, please ring this bell, and I will be by your side to complete all your wishes," Ealirel said with a pretty smile as she handed him a small black bell.
Alex received the bell and placed it inside his inventory without checking it, and then the palace tour continued.
The next forty minutes of the palace tour passed quickly, but for Alex, those forty minutes were very, very long as he felt one shock after the other.
The palace was massive, with hundreds of rooms and tens of floors, and every floor was a piece of art as the clinging walls, the corridors, stairs, and even the handrail were built with unique and luxurious materials, but all that was more digestible then the people roaming the palace floors.
Alex had seen close to a thousand people roaming the palace floor, which included maids, chefs, gardeners, musicians, and guards, with each being a Fourth or above Rank warrior, and the best thing was that everyone showed him respect in their own way.
'I am certain that I have seen more Fourth and Fifth Rank Npcs in the last forty minutes than I did in my last life.' Alex thought as he nodded toward the two Fifth Rank Royal knights clad in full-body black and gold armor who just saluted him by thunderously smashing their dark spears on the floor.
"Varon, why are so many talented people working these mundane jobs in the palace," Alex asked as they walked through a long empty corridor.
Alex was genuinely surprised by the palace staff, as everyone was above the fourth Rank, with there also being a few fifth and sixth Rank warriors.
"They work these jobs because the palace has the best training chambers in the whole Malefis Domain, allowing anyone to make progress at a much faster pace, and every palace worker can use them albeit there few conditions."
"The pay is also great, and other benefits for being a worker in the palace, so these "Talented People" don't feel any shame working the mundane jobs but believe me, they are very proud of their jobs," Varon replied.
'The benefits the training chambers could provide must be otherworldly to make these proud people with such strength to do these mundane jobs.' Alex thought as he silently followed behind Varon.
'The weather looks perfect.' Alex thought as he reached the end of the corridor and saw the shining sun, clear sly with a few white clouds.
"This is the palace guard training ground," Varon said as they reached a big area.
'All of them are palace guards?' Alex thought, looking at few thousand jacked men in a vast empty area.
The few guards Alex used appraisal on were all middle-to-peak Fifth Rank warriors, which didn't surprise him much at this point.
The moment Alex entered the training ground, all the guards immediately looked toward him, and like waiting for his arrival, they stopped what they were doing and assembled into ten straight lines.
"Greeting Domain Ruler," A hulking giant man appeared before Alex and said with his neck straight and a deep voice, and even though he didn't bow like everyone else, his eyes showed no disrespect.
"GREETINGS, DOMAIN RULER." All the guards said in unison.
"Domain Ruler, My name is Gryldran Mardycrig, and I am the Royal Guard Chief Captain." The man said with an emotionless face.
"It's my pleasure to meet you, Chief Captain," Alex replied with a smile, and in reply, the big man just nodded at him.
