The magical fruits were, in essence, power resources that provided their consumer with benefits ranging from average to completely overpowering.
Alex was given a choice to choose a single magical fruit from thousands of different magical fruits, and every available fruit was above average, with the best available fruit being the rarest and best in the magical fruit Ranking.
The percentage in front of each magical fruit was the law energy that it requires to mature fully, and Alex was given a large reserve of law energy as his first gift, and all of it was stored in the Dawn Tree.
The Dawn Tree was present in the Ruler's castle, and after every new Ruler was selected, the dawn tree was struck with seven bolts of lighting, rejuvenating it with a large reserve of pure law energy the Ruler could use as he pleased.
The magical fruits were one of the best uses for the stored law energy, and every Ruler was given the gift of choosing one magical fruit from among the best of each category.
The Ruler could tremendously benefit from the two gifts at any point in time as there was no expiry to them, but Alex planned to use them quickly to gain maximum benefits in the long run.

The law energy stored in Dawn Tree acted as the tree's life force, and after being used, the tree will become shrivel dry, but it will not completely die.
The dawn tree was currently beaming with life force because of the stored law energy, but if any amount of energy was used, the tree wouldn't be able to regenerate it, making the legendary tree just a storage container.
The Dawn tree was supposed to automatically gather natural law energy, but its core became damaged in the war of the Ancients that happened in the old era, and from that day, its legendary dawn tree just became an energy container without other usefulness.
