Pictures flashed in his mind, darkness overwhelmed him and he had the impression that nothing around him was real.

Shadow moved and passed by him and his surrounding continuously changed, causing his mind to wander and wonder, lost in a maze that seemed without an end.

This was debilitating and confusing and he felt like he was being squeezed all he was worth.

Soon, the sensation changed and he had the impression that he was swimming in a deep sea.

It was there that things started to take a turn for the worse.

Hundreds of eyes, red like blood and filled with malice opened all around him, hands came out of nowhere and grabbed his ankles, hands, and every part of his body, as if they were trying to drag him down to the very depth of the sea.

His mind shook and Adam instinctively realized that if he was dragged down, this might be the end for him, even if he did not die, he would be forever trapped.

'Move!'

He tried using the World but nothing he did worked. It was the first time in a long while that Adam felt powerless to resist. He was so used to the power of The World that not being able to use it made him feel confused.

Thankfully, his mind was aware enough and working. He did not let himself panic and focused on finding the solution.

The last words of Eve flashed and then, he was able to realize that this was not the real world but the world of Dreams and illusion.

Whoosh!

This realization made him feel like a man waking up from a Dream. His hazy mind instantly focused and most of his mental capacity came back.

His eyes opened and his consciousness flared as he searched through his memories for the most powerful attack he had ever seen and it was there. After all, he had experienced it personally.

"Burn…"

One word was all he uttered.

But it was enough to bring forth the flame of destruction.

Whoosh!

The fire seemed to ignore the fact that they were under a sea and burned as high as possible causing shrieks of pain to fill the air.

But this was not enough. This was the first time in a long while Adam had felt such despair and helplessness and he was not about to allow those things to just burn.

He would erase them.

A new memory flashed in his mind. That of a man standing proud while facing an army of devils.

The light in his eyes flashed, his pupils took a star-shaped form and an aura of glood filled his body.

The world became monochrome as all color faded from his sight. All colors expect a deep crimson mark.

Seeing those marks — Adam knew.

He knew that he could kill them.

"Die…"

A new word. A simple word. One that was uttered with no anger nor any other emotions.

But the world itself trembled under its might.

The red flame flickered as they were infused with the power of Death. Their color changed, becoming completely dark as if they represented the darkest night.

The flame filled the world as if they were ready to burn everything in the world.

This time, there were no cries of pain.

Everything was simply extinguished.

The sea calmed down, and all the hands that were trying to drag him down simply stopped moving before breaking down and vanishing.

The crimson-red eyes seemed to show fear and deference, all of them closed down and vanished, as if they were trying to flee, leaving Adam alone swimming in the sea.

'What now?'

He had no time to think as in the place where the hands had vanished, a swirling mass of energy moved before rushing to him and filling his body.

Adam was startled at first but soon, a feeling of euphoria filled his mind and he had the impression that he was becoming more complete and more powerful.

'Ugh…'

He released a groan and his body cracked, it was only then that he realized one thing.

'My body feels different.'

More real. More focused.

He was now able to think more properly and started to realize a great problem.

'Well…What the hell do I do now?'

He was lost. In both the most literal and figurative sense.

He didn't even know where he was, so need to talk about where he should go.

'No. If this is the world of dreams then I should be in the collective sea of the subconscious.'

He immediately shuddered, knowing full well that he should absolutely do anything but go down.

The book had been more than a little clear about the horror that lurked there.

All the greatest fears of mankind were present in those depths and Adam did not wish to test if his power could work on something like the primordial fear of Darkness or such thing.

'Well. I guess I should move up?'

But where was up?

Adam facepalmed.

He didn't know what the hell was Eve thinking about sending him to this place with no information at all.

"Genesis, can you hear me?"

He waited for a few moments, but no answer came from Genesis.

"Book."

He called out the book but there was no problem on that side.

The book appeared normally as it always did but this was the only thing.

"Dream and Death work properly, but World is disabled."

This was pretty logical. The power of the World was to affect physical reality. In a place where only dreams existed, there was nothing for them to do.

Though it was a pain to lose the wide-scale view his domain brought him.

'Wait an instant.'

He was in a place of dreams. Why did he have to focus on logic?

Wasn't it illogical to think about logic in a world of dreams and illusions?

Everything was possible here. Like how he summoned a powerful flame out of nothing.

"World…"

Adam muttered, thinking about the World and all the skills he had and wishing to bring them here.

"Fuck."

All that resulted was a powerful headache.

(AN: Hehe a surprise arc. Well, I have been teasing the Dreamworld since the end of Vol 5. So it was long overdue.

This arc will be relatively short depending on how you see it. It's more of an introduction. Gotta avoid being distracted too much.)
