Chapter 79: Filing a Lawsuit

As soon as Su Lingan had sent Su Yu home, he immediately dispatched his men to investigate Li Biao’s whereabouts.

“I’m sorry, okay? Can you stop being mad now?” Su Yu tried to play cute. It was her seventh time apologizing, but her brother remained unmoved. He sat motionlessly on the couch, staring at her. She panicked—no matter what she said, he wouldn’t budge.

“Why are you ignoring your cutest little sister?” she pouted, acting mad.

Su Lingan slapped her head, raising his voice, “So now you’re my cutest little sister? Have you ever thought about how I, your brother, feel about all that? How dare you lie to me! Who—was it Fu Yunian? I knew he was a pr*ck. I’ll show him hell!”

When Su Lingan got to his feet and was ready to bolt through the door, Su Yu grabbed his arm, sat down hard on the floor, and whined.

“You’re not a kid anymore, Su Yu! It doesn’t work on me!” Just then, one of his subordinates called and informed him that they had located Li Biao. He ordered his sister to stay home and headed to Li Biao’s hideout with his men. By the time they’d arrived, Fu Yunian had already seized Li Biao.

“What a coincidence, Mr. Fu,” Su Lingan muttered.

Fu Yunian chuckled, “Not at all. I didn’t expect you to care so much about Su Yu. I’ve handed him to the police. You’re free to go now.” Finally. He got back at him. Su Lingan hadn’t been so friendly with him back then.

He brought Li Biao to the station, along with the evidence of his crime, despite how he begged for mercy. On the other hand, the police were thrilled. Being the arrest of the year, it would help them with their promotion, for sure. After Officer Qi and a few others thanked him, he excused himself.

The evidence was all about Li Biao’s previous crimes, excluding Lin Sisi’s transaction. Those were more than enough to send him to prison for life. As for the proof on him hired as a hitman, Fu Yunian brought and handed them to Su Yu.

“It’s yours now, and it’s up to you what to do with it.”

Su Yu nodded. “Thanks.” It surprised her a little that someone strong-minded and assertive like him would be considerate. She was puzzled, but she knew she wanted nothing to do with him again. So, she texted Lin Qingqing to come and get her. While waiting, they exchanged a few words.

When she saw Lin Qingqing, she dashed to her side, clutching her hand against hers, and turned around. It was until they were in her car that Lin Qingqing had realized the man sitting across from her friend was Fu Yunian.

“What the hell, Su Yu? each other again?” Lin Qingqing pressed the horn angrily.

“He’s here to deliver the evidence. I’m going to court to file a lawsuit against Lin Sisi,” explained Su Yu calmly. When Lin Qingqing looked at her in confusion, she gave her more context.

Everything was a shock, leaving Lin Qingqing twisted. She stepped on the accelerator, heading in the direction of the court. Alas, what they hadn’t noticed was a Porsche tailing them.
