However, what was shown by the system was something that he would have never expected, not even in his wildest dreams.

[Affinities]

[Lightning Affinity]

[Fire Affinity[Locked]]

[Water Affinity[Locked]]

[Wind Affinity[Locked]]

[Earth Affinity[Locked]]

[Light Affinity[Locked]]

[Darkness Affinity[Locked]]

[Space Affinity[Locked]]

[Time Affinity[Locked]]

"Huh? Nine affinities? Isn't the number of affinities supposed to the six.. where are there three more affinities… time, space and darkness… affinity?" Harry asked the system in confusion.

[There are nine primary affinities Host, the first six are just the ones compatible with humans.]

[Host is the Manaless Mage, and the Host is not bounded by the laws surrounding mana. The Host could use all of these affinities along with the secondary affinities too.]

Harry was surprised by what the system meant by secondary affinities, but he brushed that thought off as another thing kept resounding in his mind.

'The host could use all of these affinities,' That was the only thing Harry kept hearing in his mind. He didn't know whether he should laugh or cry after hearing that information.

"Do you mean I could have and use… all affinities?" Harry said while trying his best to hold the urge to run around in joy.

[Yes, Host could have and use all affinities.]

If the system could give him what he wanted the most, he would surely agree and work together with it.

"If I could truly use all affinities then… I'm going to be the greatest mage in the universe! Ha ha ha ha!!" Harry shouted in joy then he bursted into laughter.

As he laughed, tears slowly gathered in his eyes as he suddenly started crying. All the insults he faced just because he didn't have an affinity or couldn't draw mana slowly played in his mind, he cried tears of joy.

[...]

The system was confused.

*MEANWHILE*

In a brightly lit room, a white haired man gazed at the scenery outside a window. A strange expression flickered in his eye as he remembered the kid he met a few minutes ago.

"Give me all the information you have on him." He said.

Behind him, a man with deep black hair stood uprightly. His posture made it seem as if he was reciting a national anthem. His body twitched slightly as he heard the white haired man's voice.

He hesitated a little before finally replying the white-haired man. "His name, as you know… is Harry Morton, no affinity and also no mana core. According to his test records in the academy, his mana core foundation is completely… shattered. He still attends Vane academy even though he had been advised to stop doing so. In my opinion, he simply…" He paused a little as he was a little scared that his reply would make the white-haired man angry.

The white haired man slowly turned around, he sighed as he faced the man standing opposite him. "Say what you want to say… Terry. I won't get angry with you." He said calmly.

'I hate when people act like I would kill them over little mistakes.' He said inwardly while holding back a sigh.

"Okay, sir, in my opinion, he simply… can't form a mana core. No matter what he tries to do, he can never become a stage one elementalist… talk-less of a mage," Terry said.

This time, the white haired man didn't reply.

'What interested him in that kid? Everyone in Vernil knows the story of the boy who had a shattered mana core foundation. He's just trash… Why would he attract the attention of a grand mage?' Terry inwardly complained bitterly. He noticed the white haired man was silent so he took it as a sign that he was probably angry with him.

"Don't you find it strange that his mana core foundation is broken?" the white-haired man said calmly to Terry. Since he was burdened with the responsibility of clearing high danger level rifts and dungeons, he never really bothered to know what was going on in the outside world.

Coupled with the fact that he lived far away from Vernil, this was actually the first time he heard about someone without a mana core foundation and to say he wasn't shocked would be a lie.

"Yes, I do, but I think the kid is just… unlucky," Terry replied.

The white haired man's brows furrowed slightly when he heard Terry's reply.

"It didn't seem like he was lying when he said he had no idea about what happened… just keep your eye on him for anything suspicious." He said.

He had a few theories regarding the mana beasts death.

The first was that Harry was a powerful mage hiding his true identity, but that was basically impossible. No matter how talented a person was, they had to be at least thirty years before they could advance to the sixth mana core stage, so Harry was just too young to be a mage.

His second theory was that a mage or adventurer played hero and killed the mana beast—This was the most likely case.

However, he couldn't be sure of anything until the AMO finished their investigation. "You can go, Terry." He said.

Terry nodded happily, he was more than delighted to leave the white-haired man's presence. Although the white haired man wasn't actively releasing any of his mana pressure, Terry still felt pressured by the extremely dense amount of mana present in him. Besides, the grand mage wouldn't even need to flick his fingers to kill him.

A few seconds after Terry left, the white-haired man muttered, "interesting kid, too bad he didn't have a mana core foundation."

He had been wondering how it was possible for a person to be born without the ability to draw mana. Everyone, regardless of their affinity grade, would surely have a mana core foundation that would enable them to be able to create and develop their mana core.

The mana core would then be used to draw and store mana which would be used to perform magic and spells. The affinity grade would only determine the highest mana core stage a person can get to.

"Maybe he's just unlucky," he said nonchalantly as a bright white light engulfed him. His figure vanished, leaving white pixel-like particles in its place.

Harry doesn't know it yet, but he had met with one of the few grand mages on earth. He met with Nate, the popular grand mage with the rare light element.

Harry noticed that all the affinities except one had 'locked' written in front of them.

'Most of the affinities are locked… I guess that means they could be…' He said inwardly. Since the system said he could use all affinities and for some reason, he felt that system wasn't lying about that, that meant there would surely be a way to unlock the remaining affinities.

However for now, he simply focused on the only affinity that wasn't locked and that was 'Lightning affinity.'

"Wow… so does this mean I already have an affinity… a Lightning affinity?" he asked the system in awe. He still found it surprising that he had awakened an affinity, a day hadn't even passed that he was without an affinity and yet he had suddenly gained one from a mysterious system.

The Lightning affinity was one of the rarest affinities, after the light element affinity. It was also respected for its versatility; the Lightning element could be used to launch a disastrous attack, it also had impressive defense abilities and could also be used to tremendously boost one's speed—Lightning Elementalists were known to be very fast.

[Yes Host, the lightning affinity is already available to the host, the host should check the skills and abilities to see the available lightning skills]

'Lightning… skills? Shouldn't it be spells instead of skills and abilities?' he said inwardly.

[Host is a Manaless Mage, the Host can't use magic spells because host doesn't have a mana core.]

He heard the system's robotic voice in his head.

'So it can read my thoughts… I wasn't too sure about it before but now I'm sure this system can read my thoughts. Whatever… this only makes things easier for me.' Harry thought.

"Now that I think about it, this system's name is Manaless mage system. I can't form a mana core because I don't have a mana core foundation which means I'm… literally Manaless. Who knew that what was labelled as a curse by everyone would later turn out to be a blessing?" Harry said while chuckling lightly.

"Skills and Abilities." He called out.
