Chapter 161 Dire wolf pack[2]
It let out a loud roar, its mouth wide open, revealing its sharp jaws that were descending directing on Harry's head.
'Dammit!!' Harry exclaimed inwardly with gritted teeth.
However, just as the alpha wolf's teeth were about to land on his head, he quickly raised his hands towards the beast, using them to grab the sides of its head tightly.
'Lightning Stun!' Harry shouted, while also channeling his energy into his hands.
Immediately sparks of lightning appeared around his fingers, before rapidly spreading up to his wrist, but rhe lightning was still concentrated around his fingertips the most.
Since his hands were holding on to the beast's, the lightning sparks didn't waste time before traveling from Harry's hand unto the wolf's head.
Howlll!!!
The wolf let out a sharp cry of pain as lightning coursed through its head, rapidly frying its brain.
Fortunately for Harry, none of the wolves limbs or claws landed directly on his body, but were spread out around him instead.
It felt like its head was being stabbed by numerous needles at once from within, and its body started spasming and twitching uncontrollably, due to the shocks.
As for Harry, he gritted his teeth, not releasing the beast from the skill for even a second.
The mouth of the beast was right in front of his head, and the pungent smell of blood and meat emanating from the beast's mouth caused his nose to twitch repeatedly in annoyance.
As he channeled his energy while simultaneously keeping [Lightning Stun] activated, Harry felt something… like a second channel of white energy flowing through his body.
However due to the situation he was in, he couldn't focus on it, as he still had the huge wolf standing over his body to deal with.
'This is my chance!' Harry thought, hurriedly releasing his left hand from the beast's head, and using it to pull out one of the daggers hanging at his sides.
Using all of his strength, he immediately swung the pointed edge of the blade towards the wolf's eye, in a bid to stab it.
The mana beast, seeing the blade heading for its eye, instinctively tried to close his eyes, but unfortunately for it, it ended up being too late as the dagger successfully stabbed into its eye, causing blood to spurt out of it.
Howlll!!
It let out another shrill cry, as another round of pain immediately assaulted it from its eye.
However, despite Harry's efforts, the dagger still didn't completely stab through the wolf eyes, and only the tip went into the eye.
Harry then tried to stab it through completely, in hopes of stabbing through its brain and ending its life, but he ended up failing, as the blade was too blunt to end the beast's life in one stab.
Harry let out a low hiss in disappointment, making a mental note to get another weapon, and fast.
He hurriedly removed the blade, channeling a little energy into his hands and using the increased strength from it to pull out the dagger in one go.
Spurt!
This caused even more blood to spill from the wolf's eyes, and even more pain coursed through its body.
It was then that he noticed the four other beast jumping at him at once, in order to pull their alpha's body off him.
The two wolves whose jaws he slashed before, had already completely healed, and the cut on their jaws were no more, meaning they could now use their fangs to bite him at full power, since their jaws weren't loose anymore.
Harry, taking advantage of this opportunity when the alpha was still in pain, hurriedly pushed the beast off his body using his superior strength, before quickly getting back on his feet.
The body of the alpha wolf remained unmoving on the ground, despite Harry already releasing it, the dire wolf still hadn't completely recovered from the lightning shocks.
Roarrr!!!
By then, one of the dire wolves had already closed in on Harry, and it jumped at him with its claws stretched out and its mouth wide open, revealing its sharp fangs.
Harry was forced to drop the dagger in his hand, which was stained with the blood from the mana beast, in order to properly defend against the wolf jumping at him.
'Rock Fist!' Harry shouted inwardly, his two fists rapidly hardening and turning into thick, dark brown rocks.
Harry did this while still continuously channeling energy into his legs, and just like the last time, he sensed another channel of energy flowing through his body, into his fists.
This caused his brows to furrow slightly in amusement and confusion, but, once again, he was forced to ignore this sensation as the dire wolf was already upon him.
Bending his body slightly, Harry suddenly lunged forwards with a full-powered uppercut aimed at the beast's lower jaw.
Thwack!!
A dull sound reverberated in the air as Harry's fists connected with the incoming wolf's lower jaw with full force.
The wolf's let out a loud shrill cry as the force behind the punch sent it flying backwards, crashing into the body of one of the other dire wolf charging at Harry.
The two dire wolves tumbled to the ground together, their bodies bouncing three times on the floor, before stopping after hitting the thick trunk of a large tree.
Harry's eyes drifted to the last dire wolf jumping towards him, and a slight smile appeared on his face.
Using the increased power from energy chorusing through his feet, Harry quickly leapt to the side once more, dodging the dire wolf who crashed on the ground instead.
Without wasting any time, he suddenly swung his hands downwards, towards the beast, immediately activating a skill.
'Wind Blade!' Immediately, a sharp thin blade made purely of wind appeared in front of him, and following his hand motion, they shot towards the dire wolf at great speed.
The dire wolf wasn't even given enough time to dodge, when the blade suddenly cut through the side of its neck, leaving a deep cut from which blood bled.
Howlll!!
The wolf let out a sharp howl of pain, as the pain from the cut stung him, causing it to thrash in pain.
Despite alreasy launching one attack, Harry didn't slow down before immediately following up with another.
'Wind Slash!' He exclaimed inwardly, swinging down his other hand in a downward motion towards the wolf.
A long, thin slash of wind rapidly formed in front of him before shooting towards the wolf, following his hand movement.
Whoosh!!
The sound of the wind slash cutting through the air reverberated as it closed in on the mana beast within the blink of an eye.
The unfortunate dire wolf hadn't even managed to recover from the pain of the last cut, when the wind slash suddenly hit its body, slashing it at the exact same place the wind blade hit it earlier.
Howllll!!!
It released another cry of pain as the cut at the side of its neck widened even further, with more blood bleeding out of it, dripping to the ground and forming a small pool of dark red blood.
The cut on its neck was now so deep that, even one more injury on it might end up claiming its life.
As Harry was just about to release another attack, the other two wolves who collided against each other earlier, suddenly charged at him again, with their jaws wide open.
A deep frown appeared on Harry's face when he noticed this, and he couldn't help but curse under his breath, the whole situation starting to really annoy him.
Since he had never been up against three mana beasts at once, he never realized just how annoying and stressful fighting them could be.
Especially when the beasts were more than three, like they were now.
If it was only one beast, he would know that he only had to focus his skills and attacks on that one beast, and killing it would be a lot more easier.
However it was a lot more different with more than one beast, and even more when there were more than two mana beasts.
He couldn't just focus on attacking one alone, especially since the other three wouldn't give him any chance to rest.
They would all attack him at once, without caring whether he was still busy with the first, or whether he was starting to get exhausted.
All that was in their minds were the thoughts of sinking their fangs into his flesh, and enjoying their meal.
There was also the issue of his stamina, though he didn't show it, fighting all of these mana beasts at once was starting to affect his stamina, and if not for his high stamina, he would have collapsed from exhaustion a long time ago.
"Wind Needles!" Harry shouted, stretching his hands towards the dire wolves.
Six needles rapidly formed in front of his outstretched palms, before immediately shooting towards the mana beasts at an astonishing speed.

A small chunk of his energy was taken away by that attack, since he created more than twice needles than he usually did.
The wind needles flew through the air with great speed, colliding against the pair of dire wolves within a second.
Two of the wind needles looked itself deeply in each of the mana beasts' eyes, piercing them deeply and causing blood to spurt out of it.
The other two needles went on to pierce them right in the middle of their forelimbs, where their joints were located, causing them to tumble unto the ground.
The dire wolves whimpered in pain, as the pain from the wound in their eyes and their stung them.
Due to the wind needles that pierced their eyes, they couldn't see, and all they could do was trash around, rolling on the ground while crashing into each other.
A slight smile appeared on Harry's face as he watched this comical scenario, however, it didn't last long when a deep infuriated snarl reached his ears.
