'I don't know if i should take his reaction as a good or bad thing…' She thought. No matter how she tried, she just couldn't understand Harry.

Apart from his talent which she was sure was freakishly high—he had three affinities after all—she didn't know much about him.

She had never really bothered to know more about him though, since they were only going to be teammates for a short time—perhaps only for this competition even, she didn't want to seem like the prying one.

A few minutes later.

The two teams stood opposite each other on the large stage.

Harry's team, or rather, Susan's team were in the green flag domain while the other elite student, whose name was Ria, and her team, were standing in the red flag domain.

Susan's team took a rather simple formation with Harry and Lin standing at the front, Jon and Titus—their newest member, at the middle while Susan herself stood at the back, right beside the flag, acting as the sole defender of the team.

Though it might seem like pride, she was sure that this was the best type of formation for them to use, especially when going up against a team whose leader was an elite student, like her.

From what she had noticed, Harry and Lin had the most explosive power, while Jon was better in defensive. Titus had no exceptional defensive spells, but she still placed him in the middle to support Jon.

As for herself, she had the most power out of all of them, who else would serve as the main defender?

While she could gone on the offensive herself, she didn't want to underestimate Ria.

She was sure that Ria's plan would be to come after her first, since she was the strongest among them, they would probably want to hold her down or even eliminate her first.

If Ria managed to actually hold her down at the frontlines, the chances of the members of team 4 overpowering their own team was quite high, and like that they could get the flag.

Ria's plan would definitely be to go after her first, and that could put her team in trouble.

Although, the chances of Ria even holding her back or standing on even foot with her weren't high in any way, she still didn't want to take any chances.

After all, the point wasn't to win against Ria, but to obtain her team's flag.

Ria's team also took a simple formation, however, they only had two members at the back, while the other three—including Ria, were at the front.

It seemed like Ria planned on going on the offensive from the start.

The cheers from the crowd was very loud, even louder than it was during the other team matches.

Two elite student going up against each other with their team, and not just any elite student, but Susan grey and Ria Hillary, it was definitely something no one in the academy would want to miss.

The instructor's voice blared through the speakers.

[Now we have an interesting set of teams! Susan and Ria, both going up against each other! Who would win, and who would be the one to be disqualified—losing their elite position also!]

The instructor was right, since losing meant getting disqualified, it automatically meant that the elite student in that team wouldn't be able to get their top twenty-five position.

That was also why Susan was also being extra careful so she wouldn't be disqualified.

Though, if an elite student were to be disqualified, they could always get their position back by challenging one of the new elite students, it would still be a disgraceful experience for them.

[And let the competition begin!]

Just then, the instructor's voice boomed through the speakers and following it was a loud eruption of cheers from the audience.

Immediately, the two students standing beside Ria suddenly dashed towards Team 16's domain with rapid speed.

One of them, a boy with thick black hair stretched his hands forwards, and immediately began chanting a spell.

Almost immediately, mana gathered around his outstretched palms before forming into two thick spikes made purely of earth(rock).

"Earth Spike!" He shouted, launching the two earth spikes towards Harry.

The spikes flew through the air at rapid speed, rapidly closing in on him.

However, rather than panic, Harry remained calm, only staring at the spikes in silence.

While he was casting an attack spell, the other one beside them, a short girl with short pink also channeled her mana before casting a spell of her own.

She joined her palms together as if to say a prayer, and without wasting anytime, she immediately separated them and a small blue ball immediately started to stir in the middle.

The water ball was small at first, however, as more mana rapidly stirred around it, it eventually developed into a medium-sized ball.

"Water Ball!!" The girl shouted, before immediately launching the attack towards Lin.

Since Harry and Lin were more or less the first line of defense they had to go through to get the flag, the planned on taking them out first.

Though they were trying not to show it, they were still scared of Sarah who stood at the back, and it showed by how their eyes kept glancing at her.

The edges of Harry's like tugged into a slight smile, as he looked at the tabs of information floating across his eyes.

The moment the instructor gave the announcement, these two quests suddenly appeared in front of him.

At first he was surprised, but he later realized what an opportunity this was for him—an opportunity to gain skill and stats points.

It wasn't like he planned on losing before anyway.

He didn't know why, but most of the quest rewards he had been receiving recently, didn't give him EXP like they used to, but skill or stats points.

Except from his daily quest which still kept providing him with EXP, most of his quests didn't give him EXP anymore.

He turned his attention back towards the earth spikes 'slowly' closing in on him, before suddenly drifting his eyes towards Ria, who stood behind the two Elementalist with a smug smile on her face, causing a slight tingle to run down her spine.
