Chapter 530: Romantic Scene
“This small village of ours is not like the big city. We are short in plenty of supplies. Uh… Mr. Huo, please don’t mind it!”
Huo Xishen brought Assistant Wen over this time but none of the escort team tagged along.
Seeing that the villagers were looking at him like he was a monkey, Yan Jinyi was a little worried that he might get hurt by accident.
The air was chilly and soon after dinner, the sky became completely dark.
The villagers went to bed early but the crew had to film some more make-up scenes at night. Huo Xishen sat at the side and watched.
Yan Jinyi had already changed into a worn out cotton jacket and was discussed the script with the male lead.
They were about to shoot the scene of Moon’s biological parents getting ready to take her home and Zhang Mingtian asking her to go stargazing with him.
“Mingtian, only your the view of your back will be captured in almost all your scenes. Don’t be too nervous. Jinyi, take good care of him,” Tao Wei instructed, holding onto the extremely crumpled and rolled up script.
Yan Jinyi made an ‘OK’ sign with her fingers and couldn’t help but look at Huo Xishen again.
He was seated in the periphery of the set and some staff members were holding up a large umbrella to shield him from the sun.
This scene would involve some intimate physical contact because Zhang Mingtian would be confessing his love to Moon and asking her to wait for him in the city. He would also kiss her on the cheek.
They initially planned to let Zhang Mingtian really kiss Yan Jinyi on the cheek but since Huo Xishen’s arrival, Tao Wei immediately changed his mind and decided to stage it instead.
“Okay, let’s get started.”
With a loud clap of the clapperboard, Yan Jinyi and Zhang Mingtian sat side by side on a boulder by the edge of the cliff.
The sky was full of stars and the bright, clear moon was shining onto the landscape below, shrouding the trees in moonlight.
“Moon, is the city very far away from here?” Zhang Mingtian asked as he carefully inched closer to her and even tilted his head slightly to the side to gaze at her side profile.
“It seems to be very far. Mingtian, I don’t want to go to the city at all, it’s much nicer here where I get to be with all of you.”
“But when you reunite with your biological parents, you can go to a vocational school. How nice is that? Rest assured and go, I’ll take care of things here on your behalf. In I’ll definitely go to the city to look for you!” Zhang Mingtian said in a firm tone of voice.
“Okay, I’ll wait for you in the city then!”
“Moon, I… I…”
At this point, Zhang Mingtian suddenly began to get nervous as he clutched his pants tightly while staring at Yan Jinyi’s face. He wanted to move closer to her but he didn’t dare to do so.
Finally, Tao Wei couldn’t stand it anymore. “Zhang Mingtian, don’t be so nervous. Just pull in closer and pretend to kiss Jinyi’s cheek.”
As soon as he said that, he felt a sudden, chilly breeze.
Tao Wei shivered, pulled his jacket to wrap himself up tightly, and muttered, “That’s strange. Why is it getting colder?”
Zhang Mingtian was actually only about twenty years old and did not have any experience in acting. He had never been in such close contact with a girl either.
Hence, even though he wasn’t really going to kiss Yan Jinyi, he still felt extremely nervous.
“Um, well, can you remove this part? I think sitting next to each other and chatting while stargazing is enough.”
Tao Wei insisted firmly, “No, this scene will become a classic of our film in the future so we have to include the kiss. Just pretend that Jinyi is a block of wood or someone you have a crush on.”
That made Zhang Mingtian even more awkward. He scratched the back of his head and said awkwardly, “I… I don’t have a crush on anyone.”

All of a sudden, an alluring male voice sounded. “Director Tao, the face of the actor doesn’t have to be captured in this scene, right”
Tao Wei subconsciously looked at Huo Xishen and suddenly recalled the fact that Huo Xishen was Yan Jinyi’s husband.
‘With Mr. Huo’s domineering aura,it’s no wonder that Zhang Mingtian can’t stop feeling nervous.’
“Ahem, yes, yes, Mr. Huo, don’t worry. We’re only going to make it look like a kiss and they’ll stop when he’s a millimeter away from Jinyi’s face.”
