Huo Xishen said coldly with a calm gaze in his eyes, “Do you think I’ll let anyone bully my wife?”
The man said with disdain, “That woman is uncouth and disgraceful. She’s unworthy of you in every way, are you sure you want to go against the Bai family for her sake?”
“The Bai family?” Huo Xishen smirked and scoffed coldly. “Since when have I ever been afraid of the Bai family?”

Bai Moliang glared at Huo Xishen’s back and kicked the corner of the table.
The secretary standing behind Bai Moliang shuddered when he saw that. “Mr. Bai, Miss Huo is probably just after a sense of novelty. He will find out sooner or later that Miss Bai is the most suitable one for him.”
“A sense of novelty? Have you ever seen Huo Xishen going after a sense of novelty?” Bai Moliang retorted with a stern expression.

It was almost New Year’s Day so there were lots of bright red lanterns hanging on the trees, adding a festive mood to the garden.
The duo was walking under the lanterns, chatting and laughing merrily.
“Xishen is back,” said Shen Yan who immediately noticed Huo Xishen. She nodded at him and excused herself, “I have some things to handle regarding the clothing launch. You two go ahead.”
Yan Jinyi watched Shen Yan leave reluctantly before glowering at Huo Xishen.

“No.” Yan Jinyi answered with displeasure.
Seeing that she was wrapped tightly in a thick quilt jacket, he hinted, “I’m feeling pretty cold.”
“If that’s the case, go home and put on a jacket.”
With his hands in his pocket, he strode towards Yan Jinyi and stopped in front of her. “Maybe, I’ll stop feeling cold if you give me a hug.”

“It’s a necessary aspect for the treatment of my misogyny,” Huo Xishen answered righteously.
Yan Jinyi glanced at him and agreed.

She opened her arms and threw them around Huo Xishen who subconsciously caught her in his embrace.

“Why do you still want me to hug you then?”
“For the sake of treatment.”
She was surprisingly at a loss for words for a rebuttal.
Hearing that both Yan Jinyi and Shen Yan had returned, Huo Qingyuan skipped a class at school and rushed home merrily. As soon as she entered the garden, she saw the two of them hugging each other.
