Shen Yan’s eyebrows arched as she smiled and she patted Yan Jinyi’s back gently. “I heard you went to the police station, what happened?”
“Nothing, I was just there to answer some questions. How long do you plan to stay this time, Shen Yan?”

After thinking about it, Shen Yan decided to turn her down. “I heard that Xishen has only recently returned too. Jinyi, you’ve been away from him for a long time too, you two should spend more time together. Why don’t we talk after you’re done with work in the day?”

It was already in the wee hours of the morning and Yan Jinyi was really sleepy. After a simple shower, she was just about to lie down on the bed when the door to her room was suddenly pushed open.
Huo Xishen had already changed into his pajamas and entered calmly.
“What are you doing?”
“It’s cold,” he said as he glanced out the window.
“Darling, you need someone to warm you up.”
“Huh?” Yan Jinyi squinted.
Huo Xishen walked over to the big bed and sat down. “I can do just that.”
‘Do what? Warm me up?’
Yan Jinyi stared at Huo Xishen for a long time before laughing insidiously. “Mr. Huo, it turns out you’re so eager to cuddle with me. Do you want to sleep with me?”
