A private plane was waiting for them as soon as they reached the airport. Evangeline had rented an unmarked plane for discretion, as she always did.

She preferred to travel at night, even though she had more tolerance for the sun as an Original vampire. It was just a habit she couldn't break.

"Mother Evangeline, here is the report you asked for," Dana, her assistant with black hair, dark skin, and brown eyes, approached her.

"Thanks, Dana," Evangeline replied, taking the tablet from her. Dana was one of her adopted children.

"So the DSAS is sending their three strongest agents to rescue the Wayne siblings. Interesting," Evangeline smiled as she looked at Nathan's and Nathalie's pictures. She knew these two would play an important role in Vincent's future. She didn't know the exact future, but she saw their strings attached alongside him.

"I guess I don't have to interfere. Those little kids are more than capable enough," she said, swapping the tablet for the next report. They might be considered the strongest, but they were still too weak in her eyes. At her peak, she could kill them with one slap.

She then casually scrolled through the tablet, her eyes scanning through the various reports and files. Her assistant, Dana, stood beside her, ready to attend to her every need.

Her attention was suddenly caught by a report about an incident in Japan. A smile formed on her lips as she read about a man who was still searching for a rare blue flower.

"Ha! That man is still on the hunt for that flower," she chuckled to herself, her mind wandering back to the Taishō era period in Japan. Evangeline had encountered the man herself, and she remembered the intensity of their battle vividly.

Despite being the weakest among all the Originals, Evangeline had managed to hold her own against him. But that was all in the past now.

Evangeline chuckled to herself as she scrolled through the various reports on her tablet. It was amazing how much chaos the supernatural world could cause in the human world without anyone ever knowing. From the outside, everything looked normal, but behind the scenes, there were always some strange and terrifying events taking place.

She read about a strange red item that caused students' heads to explode in a gory game, and couldn't help but shake her head at the depravity of some of her own kind. And then there was the report of a ghost nun haunting a church, which gave her a sense of nostalgia for the old days when such stories were common occurrences.

Despite the horrors she read, Evangeline was fascinated by the reports and couldn't help but be amazed at how diverse the supernatural world had become. But for now, she had other plans to attend to, and she leaned back in her chair, enjoying the feeling of the cool air flowing through the cabin of the private plane.

A series of deafening explosions rattled the ship as two powerful individuals unleashed their destructive powers.

Arriving on the ship by jumping from a plane, the group's goal was to stop the vessel from moving so their backup ship could catch up.

Lyka quickly checked her phone as she dodged another wave of bullets.

As she fought, she took a long-range approach to keep her enemies at bay. Given that they were in an open space and the enemies were using guns, it was only natural that she avoided close combat.

-swooooosh

Suddenly, a rocket launcher was launched at her, hurtling towards her at breakneck speed. However, her reaction time was spot on as she summoned the power of the wind, shifting the missile's trajectory towards the open sea with a whooshing sound.

-Splash

The rocket exploded in the sea .

"Enferno, we have to hurry. The backup ship is coming, and we need to make sure we stop this ship before they can get out of our border"

"I hear you," Enferno replied, his voice steady despite the chaos around them. "Let's show them what we're made of."

He unleashed fiery projectiles in all directions, using them to propel himself through the air. Despite the enemy raining down bullets on him, he managed to dodge them with ease by confusing them with his flames.

Lyka took a deep breath and conjured a gust of wind, sending several of the enemies flying off the ship. "So, what's the plan?"

"We need to take out the captain," Enferno said, launching a barrage of fire at the remaining enemies. "Once he's down, the ship will stop."

Lyka nodded, her eyes scanning the area for any sign of their target.

"Got it. I'll keep a lookout from above."

As she soared into the air, Lyka spotted a figure lurking in the shadows at the other end of the ship.

"There he is," she called out to Enferno. "Let's take him down."

"With pleasure."Enferno grinned.

Lyka's eyes widened as she quickly analyzed the situation. She knew that Enferno's flames were strong, but what he needed was a boost to get him to the captain's deck quickly.

In a split second, she conjured a wind vortex that fanned the flames, making them burn hotter and brighter than before. The flames now had the strength of a jet engine, propelling Enferno through the air towards the operating deck in a flash.

-Swoooooosh

"Burn for me! " He roared as he landed, he concentrated his flames into his fist, and with a fierce battle cry, unleashed a powerful blast that shattered the glass windows and engulfed the entire room in flames. The heat was so intense that it scorched everything in its path, leaving nothing but ashes and destruction in its wake.

The ship finally stopped moving .

The upper deck was a scene of utter chaos, as the mercenaries finally realized the gravity of the situation they were in. DSAS wasn't holding back any punches, and they were swiftly being eliminated one by one. All of this could have been avoided if they had just taken the file and made a quick getaway.

But their greed got the better of them, and they had taken the Wayne family hostage, hoping to ransom them off for a hefty sum. It was a grave mistake, and one that they were now paying dearly for.

"The clients are safe."Lyka's earpiece crackled to life with Denise's voice on the other end, delivering the good news. She couldn't help but smile, relief flooding her features as she heard the reassuring words.
