Chapter 276 Colossal Threat

Sitting together on the serpent's head, Nathan couldn't hold back his curiosity any longer. He finally asked the question that had been on his mind since his best-friend return.

"Buddy, where did you go, by the way?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine curiosity. He was eager to hear Vincent's account of his journey and the experiences that had led to his transformation during his absence.

Vincent chuckled, though his tone indicated the seriousness of his ordeal. 4

"I went somewhere worse than hell," he replied, trying to convey the brutality of his experience in the raptured realm. "That place isn't fit for living. Even hell would be better than that place."

Nathan could sense something deep in Vincent's reply. It was clear that his best friend had gone through an unimaginable ordeal. While Nathan had thought that what was happening on Earth was bad, seeing Vincent's calm reaction made him realize that the crisis they were in might not be as dire as his friend saw it.

And he was not mistaken. Vincent's sense of danger had been deeply altered. A horde of monsters on Earth paled in comparison to the nightmarish realm he had visited, where space itself seemed to constantly explode, implode, and crack.

Vincent possessed the extraordinary power to potentially resolve their current predicament within a mere month, assuming he tapped into his full capabilities. However, there was a crucial caveat to this scenario: the unpredictable variable of Fate. He couldn't be certain whether Fate would intervene and complicate matters further, casting a shadow of uncertainty over his plan.

"How powerful did you become, buddy? I'm sure you're strong enough to destroy hundreds of mountains in one punch!" Nathan chuckled, attempting to inject some humor into the conversation.

Vincent chuckled in response, appreciating Nathan's attempt to lighten the mood.

"That's a bit much even for me," he replied with a grin. Nathan was teasing him, and while he had indeed transcended the current standards of power in their world, he knew he was still a long way from casually demolishing hundreds of mountains with a single punch.

"How about you? I could tell you've already reached Rank SSS. Did you find seven magical balls and wish for power or something?" Vincent joked back.

Nathan played along, puffing up his chest and striking a mock bodybuilder pose. "More like innate talent!" he quipped.

"HAHAHA" Both of them burst into laughter, finding solace and camaraderie in their lighthearted banter amid the uncertainty of their situation.

The people around them on the other hand were taken aback by just how easygoing Vincent and Nathan were. They had expected Vincent to be domineering, given Empress Elizabeth's emphasis on him holding 99% of the total power of the Moonlight Sanctuary. However, this notion seemed absurd, especially considering the dozens of other Rank SSS combatants in their midst.

"Nathan, what are your plans after this?" Vincent asked with a serious tone.

"What do you mean, buddy?"Nathan looked puzzled.

"You're a supernatural now, you can live forever. So what's your plan?" he clarified.

Nathan chuckled, shaking his head.

"Buddy, what kind of question is that? Of course, I'm going to follow you around! After we fix this issue, we'll finally take that vacation in Australia that we never got to do."

"You still remember that?" Vincent couldn't help but smile at Nathan's simplicity. It seemed that despite his newfound power, his friend remained unchanged.

"Of course, buddy!" Nathan replied.

"Alright, Nathan. After this, let's take a vacation in Australia," Vincent replied with a genuine smile, cementing their enduring friendship and shared plans for the future.

"By the way , have you discovered any other new supernatural abilities since your transformation?" Vincent asked wanting to catch up to his friend .

Nathan scratched his head, thinking for a moment.

"Well, nothing too flashy like opening portals to other dimensions, but I have this uncanny ability to predict when it's going to rain. Comes in handy for planning those outdoor adventures."

"That's a unique power to have. Maybe we can use it to our advantage someday." Vincent chuckled

"Absolutely! And speaking of adventures, any particular place you want to visit after our vacation in Australia?" Nathan nodded enthusiastically.

"I have something in mind," Vincent chuckled, dropping a hint about a specific place.

"Tell me!" Nathan asked with excitement, but before he could get an answer, Vincent stood up.

"Take cover!" Vincent shouted as he released a violet energy barrier from his body, covering everyone.

BUZZZZZZZZZZ!

In a split second, a beam of blue light pierced the sky.

Everyone was blinded by the intense energy, and as they gazed around the barrier, all they could see was the energy that surrounded them.

They might be safe within the barrier, but they could tell that this energy could easily annihilate dozens of Rank SSS if they were caught off guard. The danger was visbile, and their hearts raced with adrenaline as they realized the gravity of the situation.

As the energy beam dissipated, it was followed by a deafening, thunderous roar that reverberated through the air.

"RAAAAAAWR!" The sound was so powerful that it seemed to shake the very atmosphere itself, sending shockwaves through their bodies and rattling the serpent's body beneath their feet. It was a roar of such immense force that it felt as if the very fabric of reality was being torn apart. Panic spread among the gathered ranks as they braced themselves for what could be an unimaginable threat descending upon them.

"I'll check it out," Nathan swiftly dashed toward the edge of the serpent's head to catch a glimpse of the creature that had attacked them. As he did, beads of sweat rolled down his forehead.

"Lordzilla!" he exclaimed upon sighting the colossal dinosaur-like creature with pitch-black scales. It stood an astounding 400 feet tall, towering over the landscape.

"That's impossible, he should be in Asia right now!" Emila chimed in, joining the conversation.

Lordzilla was classified as a Special Type Threat, particularly notorious for the incident five months ago when Elizabeth failed to kill it during its attack on the coast. Despite their efforts to confront it, the creature had managed to escape relatively unscathed, even with multiple Rank SSS ganging up on it.

"Mid God Level?" Vincent muttered to himself as he closely scrutinized the creature's energy. He was certainly curious to encounter a creature of such formidable strength on Earth, but he couldn't say he was particularly shocked. Nathan and the others might have been filled with fear at the sight of this creature, but he himself knew that it was nothing compared to his own abilities.

"Let's escape now," Nathan commanded.

"You're right!" Emilia quickly agreed.

"Guys, what are you so afraid of? It's just an oversized lizard," Vincent couldn't help but chuckle at their reaction. It seemed they had momentarily forgotten about his presence.

Vincent's casual dismissal of Lordzilla as "just an oversized lizard" left everyone in a state of shock, except for Nathan, who quickly recovered and spoke up.

"Buddy!, I almost forgot you're here," Nathan chuckled, putting his hand on Vincent's shoulder. "That lizard is toast for sure. Hahaha!"

Vincent grinned and replied, "Of course, let me play with this lizard for a bit. It might provide me with some challenge."

He strolled leisurely toward the edge of the serpent, exuding an air of confidence, ready to face the colossal creature.

"Don't die too fast," Vincent chuckled with a confident grin before he jumped from the flying serpent and engaged in combat with Lordzilla
