"Brother Lang!" a boy's voice echoed, prompting Fenrir to turn his head away. Below the roof, he saw the young boy trying to climb up.

"Is the battle over?" the boy asked anxiously. He wanted to see the fight between the martial artist.

"Yeah, it's over," he chuckled.

"No way. It's your fault for leaving me in the outskirts," the boy protested.

"My fault? It's your fault for being too slow, kid," he teased him.

"Besides, those two are not that strong. You won't learn anything from watching them," he added.

"You're boasting too much again," the boy teased him, sticking out his tongue.

"Hey kid, you should respect your elders," he scolded him.

"What are you going to do? . Bleeeeh!" The boy sneered . He was angry that he missed the fight because of this egotistical guy.

"You brat ,"

Fenrir jumped down and grabbed the kid's shirt from the back.

"What are you doing?" The kid asked with a fearful expression.

"Just teaching you valuable a lesson," he chuckled, and then threw the kid 30 feet into the air.

SWOOOOSH!

"I'm going to die!" The kid screamed.

But before he could hit the roof, Fenrir caught him.

"Now you can watch me beat that strongest martial artist of yours," he smirked while propelling himself forward towards the arena.

People saw him jumping in the air and immediately assumed that he was a martial artist.

He then put the kid down on the ground before jumping to the platform.

Thud.

"I want to challenge him," Fenrir stretched his hands.

Everyone cheered after his challenge. They had just seen him jumping in the air with ease . Only a powerful martial artist has the ability to do that.

"Tell me your name first , the style you're practicing and which sect are you from " one of the elders asked

"Sect? I need to join a sect to enter this tournament?" Fenrir scratched his head. He had never thought of joining a sect because he couldn't cultivate Ki to begin with. Besides, he found it too much of a hassle since he usually fought in his werewolf form.

' I will just make up a story, '

"My name is Lang Shao. I am from the Moon Sect, and I practice the....,"

Feeling a bit uneasy about his impromptu story, he took a moment to think. He knew he didn't really practice any martial arts, but he also didn't want to miss the chance to participate in the tournament and meet the most beautiful....fight the strongest monk in the capital.

"Wolf ... Slash ... Crash.."

"Wolf Slash Crash Style," he declared with confidence. It seems that Vincent's lack of naming sense came from Fenrir after all.

"Moon Sect? Wolf Slash Crash?" Everyone in the crowd appeared puzzled by his made-up technique. The combination of the Moon Sect and his unusual technique name seemed unconventional to them.

"Nevermind, if you don't want to tell us your style, then so be it. Just refrain from making up ugly names like that again in the future," the elder sneered in contempt, expressing disapproval at Fenrir's attempt to hide his true origin.

"Ugly? This elder doesn't have any taste at all. That's a cool name in the West," Fenrir cursed inwardly, but he maintained a poker face on the outside.

"Pick your weapon," the elder spoke, gesturing towards an array of weapons available for the participants to choose from.

Confident in his abilities, Fenrir chuckled and replied, "No need for that, I can take him with my fists."

"Don't be too arrogant, you vagabond!" an onlooker shouted, disapproving of Fenrir's taunt.

"Show respect to Monk Zhou," another voice chimed in, urging the crowd to uphold the dignity of the skilled martial artist.

"Get out of the ring if you're just going to act like a joke," someone else remarked with disdain, voicing their displeasure at Fenrir's perceived arrogance.

The crowd erupted with anger after hearing that Fenrir won't use any weapon.

In the martial arts world, using weapons was seen as a common practice to increase one's range and combat abilities.

It was believed that no matter how strong you were, you could still be fatally injured if you got pierced by a sharp weapon directly. Because of this, everyone assumed that Fenrir was making a joke out of martial artists by not taking the use of weapons seriously.

"If you want to die, then so be it," the elder sneered in contempt.

The tension in the arena escalated as Fenrir's confident stance and refusal to use a weapon seemed to fuel the elder's disdain.

"My name is Monk Zhou from the Golden Pagoda Sect. I practiced the Golden Eagle Piercing Thrust."

"Golden Eagle?" Fenrir thought to himself, somewhat surprised. He couldn't help but acknowledge that Monk Zhou's technique name sounded more impressive.

"My name is Lang Shao,"

"Begin," the elder's command echoed through the arena, signaling the start of the encounter.

In a swift motion, Monk Zhou dashed forward, his hands poised for a thrust strike, aiming directly at Fenrir's shoulder.

The monk's speed and precision were a testament to his training and mastery of the Golden Eagle Piercing Thrust.

However, Fenrir was no ordinary opponent. Even though he wasn't a martial artist, his reflexes as a werewolf were lightning-fast, allowing him to react quickly even without utilizing Ki.

With agile movement, he moved to evade the incoming strike, dodging deftly to the right side. The monk's attack grazed past, missing its intended target by a hair's breadth.

As Monk Zhou swiftly adapted to the situation, he wasted no time in pulling out his spear to continue the attack. The weapon moved with incredible speed, creating a series of sharp whooshing sounds as he struck again and again.

SWOOSH

SWOOSH

SWOOSH

Fenrir's reflexes were pushed to the limit as he evaded each successive strike with precise movements. The dance of the spear and his evasion created a captivating spectacle for the spectators, who were now fully engrossed in the intensity of the battle.

Despite Monk Zhou's relentless assault, Fenrir's instincts and agility as a werewolf proved to be invaluable. He managed to dodge the spear's deadly trajectory at the last possible moment, demonstrating his extraordinary control over his body and senses.

"Is that all you got?" Fenrir sneered, his confidence evident in his words.

"Arrogance can lead to your downfall."Monk Zhou replied.
