302 Frustated Xyler

****************

CHAPTER 302

“Don’t you know? He might have gone in search of Asia,” Sky informed.

“Wow, he sure knows when to chase after a woman. A night to a raid?”

“Relax,” Xander placed his hand over Jay’s on his shoulder. “I asked him to go. I could feel his dragon. He was very much irritated that he had been apart from her.”

“I see. It is nice to see him finally possessive of a woman, don’t you think?” Sky smiled and looked at Xander.

“Yes, but Xyler would be like that if you finally found her.”

“Hhahaa, Xyler is already like that now that he has found your mate,” Sky chuckled lightly.

“Hey wait... Do you mean...” His eyes widened when he saw Xander smiling at him. “Asia is his mate?”

.....

“Yes. Haha, the naughty duo must have found out now. I can sense his dragon jumping for joy,” Xander mused. “They have consummated the mate bond.”

“How come I did not know?” Jay asked, still looking surprised.

“Says the one who had the first human mate. Hmm, have you forgotten so soon about the double matehood he had?” Sky reminded him but the confused look on Jay’s face as his eyes dimmed made him shake his head. “You know, the prophecy.”

“Oh!” A light laugh fell from his lips. “Oh my, I can’t believe I almost forgot. Wow, what can I say? Our generation of council members is quite unique. Three human mates and friends for that matter.”

As they spoke Xander felt something snap in his mind and he clutched at his chest, gritting his teeth.

He leaned forwards when he felt his senses become flooded and wild imaginations raced in. His eyes widened, as he rested both hands against the desk while his mind processed what was happening.

“Huh, Xander,” both Sky and Jay called out. Their brows furrowed at him. He looked fine some seconds ago as they talked but now...

“Hmm...” he grunted loudly, causing Jay to step closer to him and place his hand on his back.

“Xander, what is wrong?” Ignoring the question, his right hand moved up to his shirt and unbuttoned the first three buttons, and yanked on his half tossed tie, freeing himself.

“Xander,” Sky called out as he too rushed over to his friend’s side. “Look at us, what is wrong?”

It took some seconds but finally, Xander lifted his head, raising his eyes to look at them. Both of them stepped back instantly. Their eyes widened but quickly masked their initial shock and lifted their hands into a surrender.

“Xander...” He snapped his head to Jay, snarling at him as his red eyes further dilated. “Calm down buddy.”

“It is not him. Xyler is waking up. Xyler is losing control,” Sky guessed. “Xyler...” Xander whirled his entire body in Sky’s direction.

“I told you, Jay,” he said taking several steps back as Jay did the same thing, retreating from an enraged Xander. “The mate bond is kicking in. I think Jade...” Immediately, Xander’s eyes widened.

“Ho-ho...”

“What is it, Sky? Jay asked, rounding the corner to where Sky was. “He has been triggered by Jade.” Xander snarled again at them. “She has awoken the bond and a frustrated Xyler,” he explained.

“What do we do now?”

“What else? Knock him out a bit to calm Xyler and have Xander take control again.”

“Okay. How is that supposed to happen considering as he is stronger than both of us?” Jay questioned in a whisper.

“With two of us perhaps, we have a changed to punch him.”

“Huh, I think you mean that punch must be enough to knock him out for about five minutes.”

“It may be shorter. The mate bond is getting out of control. He would wake up soon. So... on my count. One.”

“Wait, what are how are we going to attack?” Jay asked hurriedly.

“I do not know. Anything to knock him out. Two...”

“Damn it!”

“Three, go!”

*5 Minutes Later*

Just as Sky had said, it took less than 5 minutes after pouncing on him of which they had their fair share of punches from Xander before they could knock him out and he finally woke up.

He stirred on the chair he was placed on, turning to the side. Quickly Sky and Jay sprang into their fighting stance while their keen eyes peered at him.

No one wanted to take any chance again. They had a swollen cheek and jaw to show for it.

He rubbed at his eyes for some seconds before opening his eyes and scanning the room. The second his gaze locked on them, his brows furrowed before relaxing them and raising a brow at them questioningly.

“Huh, what are you two doing?” Xander asked as he sat up properly and reached up to press on his neck. “Ah, I feel sore.”

“Okay, he is back,” Sky announced, letting out a sigh and dropping both hands to his side.

Following suit, both men straightened and walked over to him. “Welcome back,” Jay stretched forth his hand to Xander.

He cast his gaze on them suspiciously and after about a minute, he seemed to have understood what happened and took Jay’s hand as he stood to his feet.

“You have got to be kidding me. Do not tell me I did that to...”

His lips opened. He could not dare voice out those words because they made sense.

“To not make you feel bad, we would not charge you. But damn right you bullied us,” Jay cried out.

“Hhahaa,” Sky’s eyes twinkled with mirth as he gazed at Xander and a smile plucked at the corners of his mouth. “Relax. It was no biggie,” Sky assured him. “Just a few punches.”

“Easy for you to say. It wasn’t your jaw that was punched,” Jay pouted.

“Ignore him. Besides we gave you one of our own.” Xander raised both brows at them in surprise. “Hahaha, well it was not easy and we had to pay you back, you see.”

“I know. No biggie. How long was I out?”

“Two minutes and thirty seconds.” Xander lowered his gaze in thought. “Hey, I never said no biggie. You owe me. And next time bloody hell consummate the mate bond or else I would ensure your ass gets kicked properly,” Jay warned.

“I know... Wait!” His eyes went wide. “Jade...”
