272 Frightening Fun Flight

CHAPTER 272
“Aaaaaahhhh!! XANDER!!!”
The thrill at which they flew down was something Jade could not comprehend. It was both frightening and thrilling for her.
The farther they went, the more her fears started to dissapte. Just to add to the ease he wanted her to feel, he let out a hearty chuckle causing Jade to open her eyes in astonishment.
It took her some seconds before she could relax some more and when his hands patted her on her bomb, she settled down more and hugged him tighter.
“Enjoy the fright and the flight, my love. Watch.”
Immediately he took a turn flying around in circles and making her eyes spin even more. Unlike the last one, she did not scream but enjoyed the ride instead.
Seeing that her fear had dissipated, Xander dove back up into the sky, causing his darling mate to shut her eyes.

Higher he went until he got to a certain height and stopped briefly. For Jade she felt he was done and opened her eyes, letting lit a deep breath, only for him to turn around again and dove down with a force she knew not existed.
It was like he was defying the forces and laws of gravity here.
Of course, gravity would pull him down but now, he dove through, descending like a comet.
Forgetting herself, she wrapped her legs securely around his waist while tightening up her grip around his neck as well.
It was difficult for him but he was having a great time with her. Thinking it was the same thing he was going to do, Jade finally opened her eyes again and this time she braced up.
‘It is only just an upward and downward thrust. He wants me to get scared. I simply would not give him the satisfaction.’
With those thoughts in mind, she watched on as they dove down and waited for when Xander was going to dive back up but to her disappointment, he did no such thing and allowed them to continue diving.
Without a doubt, if they were to stay on that path and course, they would lose their life when their bodies came crashing down with such speed.
It would be a miracle if their bones and limbs did not split.
Not wanting to die, Jade opened her mouth to speak and felt something enter her mouth. She closed them quickly, earning her more laughter from the incorrigible Dragon Lord.
“Xander...” she called out slowly his name, silently alerting him of the danger they ere about to face.
He ignored her completely and charged faster even downward. “Bloody hell we are gonna die. XANDER!”
Funny enough she got scared but did not dare lose her eyes as she watched on in fright.
Just when their heads were to hit the ground, he took a sharp turn and foew back upwards. It was at this time she shot her eyes and waited for her breath to slow down and her fast beating heart to come back to normal.
“Damn you,” she cursed silently.
“Hahhhahaaa...” the wicked laughter resonated from deep within and she could feel it making vibrations at his back.
He really had fun, whereas she was left scared like no man’s business.
It did not take Jade anysecond to become angry from what he did. Without saying a word to him, she turned around on him, bringing her body to his front before she let her legs off his waist but had her hands perfectly devoured around his neck.
“Thank goodness. I thought you planned on choking me to death,” Xander let out as he wrapped both hands around her waitlist to secure her body closer to his.
She was tempted to head boot him or even do worse but anything she did now would only have a negative impact on herself when they both came crashing down for good.
“I hate you.”
“I know, love, I know you do.” He pulled a hand from her waist and brought it to her chin. Using this means, he directed her chin, lifting her face upwards so she looked him in the eye.
“I know you hate me. But it was fun, babe.”
She eyed him a bit and averted her gaze. Of course it was frightening at some point and then it became fun but he had to make it even scarier for her.
How could she admit to such kind of fun? Wouldn’t it be she encouraging him to do such next time?
“Jade.” His voice sounded sonorous and enticing, but she was not going to fall for it.
By now they were still afloat in the air, as he flew higher away from the normal view of people into the skies.
“Look around you. I want you to enjoy this moment. Take it to forget about your pain.”
“No.”
“Please do. You would not regret it.”
After about two minutes, she looked at him first, before looking around. They were already above in the first sky on the clouds.
Th sight as unimaginably great.
The calmness the clouds held made her feel peaceful. She had even forgotten about her fears down a monument there and just gaped in admiration at the beautiful scenery.
“Just like how frightening the flight was, that was how you felt when your world came crashing down, his voice reminded her she was not alone. “But my love, I want you to see things in a new light,” Xander added.
“Huh?”
“I want you to find peace deep within you.”
“How can I find peace when...” she could not hold it in again and looked up at him. “When they are all gone. How can I be at ease? How can I rest? Tell me, Xander, how can I?”
“I know it is not easy but allow me share in your joy and your problems. Allow me handle them for you till you find peace.”
“No,” she started firmly. “I cannot allow you fight my battles for me. I need to do this.”
“Jade you do not have to.”
“I do. Besides, a Mafia Lord does not need peace. We are always at war with one group or the other. It is the life I was born into.”
“Then allow me take you out of it and show you a new way,” Xander convinced her.
“I cannot. There is no new way. Father thought he could be friends all and put an end to the fighting. Pfft, wishful thinking.”
“It isn’t. Your father and I barely knew but judging from his wisdom and how you grew up to be plus the way he handled his city, I must say, he did great and had a better insight. I want you to see that.”
“Peace doesn’t work. These people,” she pointed in the direction of Zale’s mansion. “They deserve t and want only war. And I am going to give it to them.”
“Yes you will but do not let it cost you your life and your happiness.”
“My happiness lies in seeing them go down, not to be prisoner mind you, but to rot in H.E.L.L.”
He tightened his grip around her slim waist and rested his chin on her head. Taking his time, he inhaled in her scent while rubbing her back slowly.
After a minute he pulled away briefly, just giving enough space to let him look at her face. “I promise you, I would take them to hell myself. Do not taint your hands with their blood.”
“For this very reason, I would be bathed in blood. Not mine but the blood of my enemies.”
He could see the anger, determination and rage in her eyes. He knew she meant it this time and there was no going back.
“I swear, I would protect you and take this burden off your shoulders. Trust me. I love you, Jade Frost.”
His eyes clamped shut and he brought his face closer to hers, lining his lips with hers.
She hesitated in meeting his lips at first but when she watched this beauty one last time, she felt drawn to him and she too closed her eyes.
When his lips touched hers, she allowed herself to be with him and opened up, welcoming his kiss.
He sucked on her lower lip, tasting her dry lips as he went again, alternating to her upper lip.
Jade followed suit, turning her head in different angles to get the best of his kiss as he dove up in the sky in a slower fashion than all of his sprees.
That moment could only be defined as nothing short of splendid, romantic and great.
They were having a kiss under the moonlight sky.
