733 Visit Fu Chen’s Aunt

The elevator door slid open and the two teenagers walked out. Bai Xi Xi glanced at the nurse’s station and saw a few familiar faces.
As she can be considered a frequent visitor to the department, everyone was now familiar with her.
The nurse at the station greeted her politely before announcing that her brother was meeting with a patient’s family. However, she was free to wait for her brother in his office.
Bai Xi Xi thanked the nurse and planned to wait for her brother in his office since his meeting would not take too long.
Just as she was about to say a few words to Fu Chen before she leave, the sound of footsteps approached.
Fu Chen looked up and saw his father walking over. He suddenly recalled their conversation a few days ago upon seeing how his father was looking at him and Bai Xi Xi.
“Hello, uncle.” Bai Xi Xi recognized the older man as Fu Chen’s father and quickly greeted him.
“Hello.” Fu Yan Zi could not hide his surprise upon seeing that Bai Xi Xi was at the hospital. He glanced at his son and raised a brow inquiringly.

A few days ago, Fu Chen told him that he and Bai Xi Xi were merely classmates. But seeing them together made him think otherwise.
He glanced at his son and saw that he was touching the tip of his nose, something that he often do when he was embarrassed. Because of this, Fu Yan Zi misunderstood Bai Xi Xi’s appearance at the hospital.
A soft chuckle escaped him. “Are you here to visit Fu Chen’s aunt?” Fu Yan Zi asked. He saw the two of them together and thought that it was his son who had invited Bai Xi Xi to visit his aunt.
Not too long ago, Fu Chen was still denying that he was after Bai Xi Xi. But now, Fu Yan Zi saw them walking together.
Fu Chen looked at his father in aghast. “Dad, no.” He cleared his throat while glancing at Bai Xi Xi again. “My Class Monitor isn’t here to visit my aunt. She’s here for her brother. That’s right. Her brother is Doctor Bai who is looking after my aunt.”
Fu Yan Zi was surprised to hear his son’s explanation. He looked at Bai Xi Xi again and noticed that there was a lot of resemblance between Bai Xi Xi and Doctor Bai. “So, you are Doctor Bai’s siblings?”
Bai Xi Xi nodded. “Yes. He’s my brother.”
Fu Yan Zi has heard from his wife how Doctor Bai had looked after his sister-in-law for the past few months. Naturally, he was grateful that the doctor has done everything he can to save his sister-in-law.
“Coincidentally, I am looking for Doctor Bai as well.” Fu Yan Zi was going to look for the doctor and ask about a few matters about his sister-in-law when he ran into his son and his classmate.
“The nurse said that Doctor Bai was seeing another patient,” Fu Chen said. “Dad, you have to wait for a while.”
Fu Yan Zi nodded, knowing that he will have to wait for a while. The frown on his face deepened as he thought about his unconscious sister-in-law.
Bai Xi Xi raised her head to look in the direction of Fu Chen’s aunt. After a brief hesitation, she looked at Fu Yan Zi and spoke, “Uncle Fu, is it alright if I go in and visit Fu Chen’s aunt?”
She knew that Fu Chen’s aunt was hospitalized and was always curious about the woman. Since her brother was not around, Bai Xi Xi decided that she should go and take a look for a while.
Fu Chen was surprised to hear Bai Xi Xi’s words. Before he could say a word, his father had already answered.
“Of course.” Fu Yan Zi nodded. “You are welcome to visit her anytime you want.” Saying that he turned around and let Bai Xi Xi to his sister-in-law’s ward.
Once they entered the room, a woman who was seated on the sofa stood up immediately. She opened her mouth to say something and paused when she realized that there was someone else coming into the room with her husband and son.
Mother Fu looked at the two men in front of her quizzically. Before she could ask about Bai Xi Xi’s identity, Fu Chen had taken the initiative to introduce her.
“Mom, this is my classmate, Bai Xi Xi,” Fu Chen introduced. “Class Monitor, this is my mother.”
Qin Ruan looked at Bai Xi Xi in shock. Naturally, she did not expect that she would be meeting her son’s classmate at the hospital. She thought about the clothes she wore and then, the fatigue look on her face.
Suddenly, she was a little embarrassed. “Hello.” Qin Ruan touched her hair, hoping that it did not look messy.
Of course, in Bai Xi Xi’s opinion, Fu Chen’s mother looked very clean and tidy.

Bai Xi Xi smiled politely. “Aunt, thank you. But I just come here and look at Fu Chen’s aunt briefly. I won’t stay for too long.”
“This is the first time that Fu Chen introduced his friend to me,” Qin Ruan said. “Miss Bai, please, stay here for a while and have a chat.”
