732 A Goddess
On the weekend, Fu Chen followed his father to the hospital to look for his aunt who was still lying on the hospital bed.
The moment his parents met, Fu Chen could see the relief on his mother’s face. There was no doubt that his mother was happy to see that his father had returned to help around the house.
For these past few months, Fu Chen has been watching his mother working so hard. It was good that his father had finally returned. Even though the house has hired a few help around the house, it would not be the same as the support his mother would get from his father.
Fu Chen watched his aunt who was still relying on the machine silently.
His lips pursed into a thin line as he prayed that she would wake up soon.
The kids at home missed their mother so much. As days passed, Fu Chen could see the sadness in their eyes. Even though they have hidden it so well, Fu Chen could still see that they were worried that their mother would leave them.
They already lost their father. It would be very pitiful for them if they are going to lose their mother as well.
Fu Chen stayed around the room for a while.
Seeing that his parents seemed to have something to discuss, Fu Chen excused himself and decided to go for a walk around the hospital.

He went to the garden and sit down to enjoy the view.
Suddenly, a familiar figure appeared in front of him, making him feel as if he was not in his right mind and was now hallucinating.
A goddess was walking in his direction. She had her head down while she was walking, but the soft look on her face was especially adorable.
The wind blew softly, making the hair that she tied into a high ponytail flutter. The skirt she was wearing swayed gently as she moved.
This was the first time that Fu Chen had seen Bai Xi Xi wearing a skirt outside of the school area. Her long legs looked especially eye-catching.
She looked like an ethereal being.
His heartbeat escalated.
Fu Chen would like to blame his father for having this feeling.
During his father’s first encounter with Bai Xi Xi, he had asked whether Bai Xi Xi was his girlfriend. Because of that question, Fu Chen has begun to think about this young lady frequently.
Then, a certain thought came to his mind.
He thought that it would be a good thing if Bai Xi Xi become his girlfriend.
The girl was so beautiful and kind-hearted. After knowing her for a few months, Fu Chen could tell that his impression of Bai Xi Xi had only got better.
In the beginning, he had his eyes on her because he admired her basketball skills. But each time that he spent time with her, his heart would flutter.
However, Fu Chen knew that he had to suppress this feeling. At least, for now.
Bai Xi Xi was a good student and Fu Chen knew that she was someone who wanted to study hard to have a better future.
He did not want to start another rumor that would make her reputation to go down.
Fu Chen could still remember how everyone at school reacted when Jian Chi spread the rumor that he was dating Bai Xi Xi.
He did not want Bai Xi Xi to face something like that again.
Moreover, her family members were quite scary!
Fu Chen could still remember how her sister-in-law had appeared with a lawyer and how the headmaster’s face turned pale.
While Fu Chen was staring at Bai Xi Xi, the teenage girl finally looked up and met his gaze. Their eyes met and the two of them were staring at each other for a few seconds.
Fu Chen was a little flustered as he was caught staring at Bai Xi Xi.
Meanwhile, Bai Xi Xi was surprised to see a familiar face in front of her. Her eyes flickered. After a brief hesitation, Bai Xi Xi walked in Fu Chen’s direction. She stopped in front of him with a faint smile on her face.
“Fu Chen, what a coincidence.” Bai Xi Xi said. “Are you here to visit your aunt?”
Her voice snapped him out of his trance. Fu Chen stood up slowly and touched the tip of his nose. “Un.” Somehow, he was not expecting that Bai Xi Xi would notice his presence. He gave the girl a lookover and spoke, “Class Monitor, why are you here?”
Bai Xi Xi raised the paper bag in her hand. “I’m here to deliver some food for my brother.”
Her sister-in-law cooked a meal for her brother and wanted to send it over. However, Bai Jing Jing’s suddenly had a fever and was acting clingy to her mother. Her sister-in-law did not have the heart to leave the little girl alone. Therefore, the task to deliver the food fell into her hands.
“Class Monitor, you have a really good relationship with your brother,” Fu Chen commented.
Bai Xi Xi smiled. Not many knew about her family situation and she had never mentioned it to Fu Chen before.
“Class Monitor, let me walk you up,” Fu Chen said.
“You’re not sitting here a while longer?”
Fu Chen chuckled. “Mmm... My parents were discussing something in my aunt’s room earlier. I just come here to give them some space. By now, they should have finished saying what they wanted to say.”
Bai Xi Xi nodded. Since they both were heading in the same direction, she could not find any reason to reject Fu Chen’s offer.
The two of them walked side by side in silence.
Once they entered the hospital building, Bai Xi Xi glanced at Fu Chen and asked, “How is your aunt?”
A faint smile that did not reach his eyes appeared on his face. “Mmm... Currently, there was no change in her situation. The doctor still did not know when she will wake up.”
Bai Xi Xi pursed her lips as she listened to Fu Chen talking about his aunt’s condition.
