"...Wait, what?" watching as Felix sat down as he was ready to start a picnic, Raven felt stupefied and his eyes widened from shock.

Thankfully, his mask hid his current expression, or else Felix would have been surprised to see how funny his expression looked at the moment.

Shifting his body to get a comfortable position while completely ignoring the few weird gazes directed at him, Felix extended his hand and patted the spot right beside him, "Just sit down and relax. Or maybe you like standing?"

"No one likes standing pointless... Wait, no! This is not what matters! Our future is on the line here and you just want to sit idly around, watching as everyone gets killed? Do you have any clue just how ridiculous that is?" Raven blurted out, hardly keeping his fake voice in control to avoid getting busted.

"Ridiculous? It is amusing to hear that word from someone who decided to wear a wedding suit and a polygon mask before coming to this place. Or perhaps those clothes are unique Items?" Felix spoke calmly, his gaze wondering whether the dress on Raven's body was special or not.

'Wedding suit?' Raven felt slightly taken aback and a little offended, but still decided to ignore it and ask, "Are you not even worried at all that others could get their hands on the Relic sooner than us while you are just sitting here?"

"Not at all." Felix shook his head before adding, "But even if they do, I am not worried as the Realm Game has yet to start. In fact, there is not even a single rule stated, indicating the real deal will only start once one of us gets their hands on the Relic."

'Yeah, I have also figured that out...' Raven thought with a frown, and after pondering for a few seconds he asked, "And what about the Relic? What if that thing will grant you special powers once you acquire it, putting everyone else at a huge disadvantage?"

"That is very likely, but do you really think a small jump in strength is worth your life and also your future? Because I do not." Felix stated indifferently and looked at the remaining humans around them, "Unless you don't want to be the guinea pig and risk your life, I advise you to sit down and wait."

"I am pretty sure others have also figured out the things we did, so it won't be long before they try to do what you just said,"

Raven fell into silence and his gaze slowly shifted onto the crown on the statue's head.

What Felix said was true, yet, for some reason, he didn't like just standing around and watching as others got shredded into pieces. No, it would be better if he said he didn't like the idea of others getting their hands on the crown even before him!

Also, for some reason, he had this bad feeling in his stomach that he must get his hands on the crown as soon as possible or else things will go west real soon.

After contemplating what he should do for several minutes, Raven let out a sigh and after shaking his head he began to walk toward the statue, attracting everyone's attention right away.

"Who the hell is that guy? And why is he dressed like that?"

"Maybe a unique Item he acquired from a Realm?"

"Nah, I don't think so. But even if it is, he looks pretty... Cool, I guess?"

"Well, at least he will die in style, right?"

People began to whisper, mainly talking about the set of clothing on Raven while completely ignoring whether he will be able to put his hands on the Relic or not, which was rather understandable for obvious reasons.

,m After all, so far over a hundred individuals attempted to grab the crown, some even going for it in groups, yet, in the end, they have all failed. Hence, after seeing that Raven was trying his luck alone, no one gave him any hope.

"He is quite the amusing guy." still sitting on the ground, Felix curved his lips gently upward, his eyes flickering with curiosity.

Ignoring the stares on his skin, Raven walked slowly toward the statue and only came to a complete halt when he was only 50 meters away.

'It seems I was right. His ability won't be triggered until I am not closer than fifty meters.' Raven thought inwardly and slowly began to walk toward the left, slowly but surely going around the statue.

"What the hell is he doing?" almost everyone asked the same questions, only those who have somewhat figured out how the statue killed people started to widen their eyes and feel a little bit of anticipation.

Raven walked slowly around the statue and after 5 minutes he was completely behind it.

It seemed the statue didn't move.

'Good.' Raven nodded and once he took a deep breath he took a step forward, his scarcely nervous gaze fixed on his white shoes.

"Hm? Nothing?" Raven felt surprised once nothing tried to attack him even after 3 seconds and raised his gaze.

[Title: Chaotic Survival's First Effect had been triggered!]

'?!'

Seeing the magical panels appearing just beside him, Raven didn't hesitate even a second and jumped backward, watching how a black, somewhat transparent figure materialized in front of him, a sword already piercing the spot where he had been just a moment ago!

'That was close...' Raven swallowed a bit nervously as he watched how the projection of the statue slowly dispersed into thin air.

'But this makes no sense. He didn't even turn around, yet the shadow still attacked me. Perhaps we have guessed it wrong and the statue's power activates whenever someone comes close enough?' Raven pondered, feeling confused.

After all, he has seen with his two eyes how the statue used his power, so what just happened just made no sense at all.

Or maybe... Suddenly, an idea that seemed crazy popped up in Raven's mind and after taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and took a step forward.

One second... Two seconds... five seconds...

Raven waited for 10 full seconds before he slowly opened his eyes, only to see the previous warning about him in immediate danger popping up, forcing him to quickly jump backward.

'Just as I have thought.' a self-satisfied grin hidden from the mass appeared on Raven's face.

It seemed, just like anything else in existence, the statue's power had a weakness too, one that was rather interesting.

On the front, the statue could kill anyone until he saw who he wanted to kill and that someone was within a fifty meters radius. It was a very powerful ability that was quite hard to counter, especially if one didn't know how it worked.

On the other hand, things were completely different when people tried to approach the statue from behind. It seemed the statue's power got only activated if the one approaching him looked at him!

This meant the statue could be approached safely until one kept his or her eyes closed!

As for how did Raven come to this conclusion? It was when he first took a step forward. He could remember how nothing happened for 3 entire seconds and the shadow only attacked him when he raised his gazes onto the statue.

'But still... approaching the statue with closed eyes is still risky. I still don't know whether the statue will move or not.' Raven thought to himself, knowing if the statue will turn around he is fucked.

"You have figured out something, haven't you?"

Suddenly, Felix's voice appeared just beside Raven, making him flinch slightly and turn his head to the side.

'Just what kind of Artifact does he have? One that grants him an ability akin to teleportation? No, it is something else, but what?'

While Raven wondered silently, Felix raised a brow and asked, "Is there a problem?"

"No, not at all." Raven snapped out of his daze and said, "Though, I have really found out something. But as I don't know if it will work, I need a little bit of help."

"Sure, what do you want me to do?"

"Huh? That easily?" Raven was surprised, not expecting that he could earn Felix's help this smoothly.

Felix smiled and shrugged, "We are in this together, not joining hands after all the things that happened would be just stupid. Also, I know you will pay me back in one way or another, so why not?"

"You are that confident?" Raven felt scarcely stupefied.

Felix, however, just smiled and shrugged, "What can I say, I am quite good at knowing others and I know you are not that type of guy to toss me aside once you get what you wanted. But let's not talk about this now, first, tell me what I should do."

Raven was speechless, but as he saw how Felix raised a brow, waiting for him to talk, he sighed and said, "Okay, then here is what we will do, so listen carefully."
