Chapter 819 Oppression (4)

Boom!

Kyran's figure disappeared, and in the blink of an eye, he had shortened the distance between him and Kesiah.

"Your Highness!"

"Princess Kesiah!"

Gaham and the rest of the Armakean officers and knights who saw the speed of the Eidum's mysterious helper were flabbergasted. They were told of his strength; some even witnessed it with their own eyes. But the speed he had shown paled in comparison to what they knew.

They wanted to assist her however they could, but they could only watch because they were occupied with the remaining two magical beasts and the rest of the horde.

Kesiah was also surprised, but unlike the others, she was prepared for the worst. Thus, the moment she saw the mysterious helper disappear from her sight, she raised her scimitars and gracefully whirled her body to deflect the mysterious helper's incoming attack.

Since she did not know which direction he would attack, doing this would provide her better chances of countering.

Clang! Clang!

Kesiah's eyes widened in disbelief as the mysterious helper's sword effortlessly deflected her scimitars and stopped her rotation. Though she only had a few seconds to start her rotation, which meant she had yet to gather enough momentum, any sane person would hesitate to approach if the scimitars cut through them.? But the mysterious helper unhesitatingly used his swords to stop her scimitars as if he could perfectly see their trajectory.

Kesiah was not disheartened, though. If she could easily defeat the mysterious helper, it would mean that her people died at the hands of a weak enemy. She could not tolerate that. In any case, she believed herself to be a warrior before being a princess. Thus, she would not falter in front of a strong enemy.

"HA!"

Directing her energy into her arms, she pushed the mysterious helper's swords off her scimitars and followed with diagonal slashes. After that, she followed through with hacking movements while spinning her body.

Kyran was not fazed at Kesiah's fierce retaliation. He calmly watched her, deflecting each of her strikes without moving an inch.

Frankly, he could easily end this farce by using the purple side of his swords. Since the purple blades possessed Void property, they could cut her scimitars effortlessly.

But Kyran did not want to do that simply because he found her Divine Armament intriguing. A moment ago, her Divine Armament was a red full armor. But then she removed it and replaced it with an elegant red dress that matched her ruby-red scimitars.

Even with Kyran's little knowledge about Divine Armaments, he was positive that Kesiah's dress and scimitars were still her Divine Armament. But that was impossible because Divine Armament only had one form as far as he knew. Depending on one's mastery over it, it could change in size or even in design, but never its form.

So, how did Kesiah change her Divine Armament's form?

Seeing her attack was ineffective, Kesiah added some kicks and elbow attacks to her movements. But no matter what she did, the mysterious helper deflected all her attacks.

Whether by meeting her knees with his own or blocking her elbow attacks with his forearm, he managed to deflect them all effortlessly and without moving an inch! It was infuriating.

Honestly, Kesiah had considered allying with the Eidums because of this man. She believed he was the person she needed who could assist her in usurping the King. She only heard what her people and Hohen said about his strength, and now that she had first-hand experience, she found their initial assessment lacking.

This man was stronger than they believed.

Kesiah was convinced of this because her Divine Armament failed to cut through his defenses, not to mention the swords he wielded.

Nevertheless, though she admired this man's strength, she also detested him for killing her people. In the previous raids, she was still considering employing his assistance, but after today, she was hesitant. Of course, she would not mind taking him in if he willingly submitted to her. She would never reject a person with boundless potential.

For now, however, Kesiah detested this man. And it was all well and good since her emotions helped unleash her strength.

Gaham and the rest of the Armakeans were slightly distracted because Kesiah and the Eidum's mysterious helper had been confronting each other for almost five minutes now, yet they appeared to be in a stalemate.

No.

In Gaham's eyes, he could clearly see that Kesiah did not seem disadvantaged, but she also had no chance of winning.

[Oi, oi. Void Halfling. What are you doing? Don't tell me you are distracted by this woman's figure and enjoyed watching her flaunt her body while she brandished her weapon!]

Kyran nearly choked at True Void's accusation. He was not even looking at her body and was absorbed in checking her Divine Armament.

'I'm not,' Kyran told True Void. 'I'm only curious how her Divine Armament changed form.'

[Divine Armament?]

'I'll explain later.'

As Kyran said this, Kesiah finally stopped attacking and started to retreat.

There was no point in fighting at a close range if she could not land any decent hits, which was why Kesiah wanted to gain some distance and try a different tactic in dealing with him.

Kyran did not let her retreat too far, though. He closed the gap in an instant, and for the first time, he swung his sword in an attack.

Kesiah, still in the motion of retreating, narrowed her eyes at the mysterious helper's sudden attack. Her red dress glowed as its satin extensions seemed to come to life and fluttered in front of her.

Kyran initially had the dark blue side of his swords pointed at Kesiah, but seeing her dress's strange movements, he switched to the purple side and cut through them.

[Gah! You! You! I've only been asleep for... I don't know how long, and you have turned into a ruffian!]

Kyran more or less understood why True Void said those things, and his brow twitched slightly. He did not cut through her dress so he could remove it; he only wanted to avoid his swords being cut in half.

That was right. Just now, he sensed danger coming from Kesiah's dress. They appeared soft like satin, but he knew they could cut the dark blue side of his sword.

Slash!

Kesiah's eyes widened as a portion of her dress got cut. But she did not let her surprise get the best of her. She remained composed as she swung her scimitars at the mysterious helper.

Seeing the follow-up attack, Kyran slightly rotated his wrist to let the dark side of his sword collide with Kesiah's scimitars.

Clang! Clang!

Kesiah was once more shocked at how easily he deflected her attack. Also, to be honest, compared with her scimitars, the defenses and sharpness of her dress were far better. How could his sword cut her dress but not her scimitars?

Not wanting the mysterious helper to get any closer, Kesiah forcefully somersaulted, wanting to kick him back.

To avoid her kick, Kyran was forced to lean back. However, he did not simply evade but also raised his left leg and aimed at Kesiah's neck. Because Kesiah had just somersaulted, Kyran's leg was at her blind spot.

"Watch out!"

Hearing Gaham's frantic voice, Kesiah knew the mysterious helper was about to hit her in her blind spot. But she did not panic. After all, her Divine Armament would protect her.

Kesiah's dress fluttered, and before Kyran's leg could touch her neck, they wrapped around his shin, stopping his movement.

The dress was not done, though. After wrapping Kyran's shin, they wriggled up his leg to his torso. The tip of her dress twirled, turned into something like a drill, and aimed at his side.

Kyran twisted his body, barely missing the dress-turned-drill. The more he observed Kesiah's Divine Armament, the more he was convinced that it was not a simple full armor.

[Her dress... doesn't it seem similar to me?]

True Void's comment resonated with Kyran's thoughts just now.

That was precisely how he felt when Kesiah's armor changed shape. Still, Kyran felt her Divine Armament was still different from True Void. They were similar because they could change their form. But unlike her Divine Armament, True Void could change his size and not sacrifice his essence. Kesiah's Divine Armament, on the other hand, could only change size based on the quantity of its original essence.

That was why she sacrificed the size of her armor when she chose to create scimitars.

'Not quite,' Kyran replied as he turned and avoided another drill-like attack from Kesiah's dress.

Kesiah finally landed on the ground and jumped back while letting her dress aim at the mysterious helper.

Seeing that Kesiah had started using her Divine Armament like a combination of a drill and a whip weapon, Gaham no longer worried and could now focus his undivided attention on fighting the Comodo.

It was well because he knew it would only be a matter of time before the Comodo exhausted itself.
