Nahir had no trouble casting offensive magic because his Fire magic had a destructive cleansing effect. The more his target had impurities in their body and mind, the more his flames' destructiveness would be unleashed.

Apart from the Eidums, the impurities inside the bodies of the inhabitants of Somuli were significant. For this reason, Nahir's cleansing flames could become very destructive. Since it also involved the mind, Eidums might also be affected because not all had pure hearts. Nevertheless, the destructiveness of his flames was far less compared to when someone with both impure body and mind was attacked with it.

One reason Nahir decided to give Kyran the benefit of the doubt was because he was unaffected by his flames. This spoke volumes about the younger man's impurities. But since Kyran admitted to being an outsider, as well as being the Dark Sage's successor, Nahir could no longer say for sure.

Anyway, that was unimportant at the moment.

What was important was that Nahir's flames were very effective against the Armakea forces. His group advanced with little resistance from the enemy. Nevertheless, as the distance between them and the three magical beasts decreased, the pressure weighing on them increased.

They were still afraid to fight the three magical beasts now that they had released their aura. But their desire to protect their people outweighed that fear, and they moved forward with determined steps.

'Fall back, Nahir!'

The Abbot's voice sounded in Nahir's head, resulting in a slight frown on his handsome face. He frowned, not because of the order but more of how his father sounded fearful.

'Father?'

'Lady Chrysanthemum has come. Those magical beasts' will go on a rampage in any minute!'

Nahir's eyes widened. He thought they would only deal with three magical beasts, and he never expected that one of the upper six Royals of the Magical Beast Community had decided to assist the Armakea.

Twelve Royals led the Magical Beast Community, and they were separated into two groups: Lower and Upper. It went without saying that the Upper Six Royals were far more powerful than the Lower Six, and Lady Chrysanthemum was among the strongest in the Upper Six.

Why would someone like her assist in a war between the Eidums and Armakeans? The Magical Beast Community was a separate nation, and although they were on good terms with Armakea, Nahir did not think it was enough for them to join their war.

'Cast a protection spell, and I will cast a protective shield to help you retreat,' the Abbot added while keeping a close eye on the distance between Nahir's group and the three magical beasts.

The three magical beasts continued to roar as mana orbs emerged from the ground and entered their bodies. With each orb that entered their bodies, a pulsation seemed to explode from them, and the translucent chrysanthemum seal on their backs lit up with a powerful force.

The eyes of every beast nearby that heard this pulsation changed— as if they were hypnotized by the sound and dulled their minds.

The Abbot could not help but look at the magical beasts in pain. He heard Lady Chrysanthemum's magic, which he truly feared.

Chrysanthemums had different meanings, depending on their colors. But among them, white chrysanthemum had the most depressing meaning.

Mourning. Grief.

And that was precisely the emotions Lady Chrysanthemum instilled into her targets once her seal appeared on their bodies. Because of these emotions, her targets tend to go on a rampage just because of the unbearable mourning and grief filling them.

'The aura of the magical beasts is affecting the rest of the horde. Hurry up, Nahir!'

Before the Abbot finished what he was saying, Nahir had already cast a protection spell on them, and with only one word, he ordered them all to "RETREAT!"

The Eidums with him were stunned by the unexpected order. Even Gidan, who was at the forefront, was surprised. Still, no one questioned Nahir. More importantly, they sensed his protection spell enveloping their bodies and knew that whatever made him order a retreat was definitely bad news.

As soon as the Abbot sensed his son cast the protection spell, he summoned his Divine Armament and prepared to cast a wide-area protective shield.

The sheer amount of energy his Divine Armament possessed caused the air around him to fluctuate. Because of this, the concealing and invisibility effects of the token Kyran gave him shattered, revealing his presence.

Several healers were casting healing or enhancement buffs from above the steel walls, and the Abbot stood between two healers. The moment he appeared out of nowhere shocked them senseless, and they almost missed healing a fighter who had just been injured by a complete being nearby.

"Abbot!"

"T-The Abbot has escaped his abductors!"

"The Abbot is here!"

"We are all saved!"

One after another, the Eidums around the Abbot shouted in glee.

"Concentrate!" The Abbot, however, had no time to respond to them and even told them off.

"Yes!"

Nevertheless, they did not mind. Their courage had even been renewed as they relentlessly supported the fighters below.

Seeing his disguise had been broken, the Abbot no longer cared about restraining his magic. As a matter of fact, restraining them was out of the question now that his people were in danger of getting annihilated by those magical beasts.

The air crackled as mana orbs gathered in front of the Abbot. His Divine Armament, a two-meter tall diamond Pavise Shield, absorbed these mana orbs and let out a blinding light in the blink of an eye. The light spread throughout the battlefield, and a miniature translucent replica of the Abbot's Divine Armament appeared on every Eidums.

One of these miniature replicas manifested on an Eidum just in time before a beast looking like a crossbreed between a hound and a lion bit him.

Dong!

The breast hit the translucent shield and got stunned. It felt like it had slammed itself on a solid metal shield.

Seeing the beast lose its senses, the Eidum immediately cast a restraining magic on it and slashed the beast's throat using the sword in his hand.

Splurt!

The Eidum's strength was lacking to cut off the beast's head completely, but it was enough to leave a deep cut on its throat. With blood gushing out of the cut, the beast fell to the ground, twitching. It would only be a matter of seconds before it died of blood loss.

They were shocked when Nahir's group saw the shield protecting them from the onslaught of the horde because they recognized it as the Abbot's. Soon, they came to think that Nahir ordered them to retreat because the Abbot had arrived.

With renewed zeal, they sliced or hit as many beasts as possible. They could not kill them because most of them were only using high-quality weapons and not Divine Armaments. After all, most of them did not have a weapon for a Divine Armament.

The only exception was Gidan, who was not originally an Eidum and a soldier from the Kingdom of Cretea.

Nonetheless, they managed to leave fatal wounds on the beasts and, at times, beast-likes and complete beings as they retreated.

RAWRGH!

A heavy and ominous aura reverberated throughout the whole battlefield as the chrysanthemum seals on the magical beasts completed the absorption of the mana orbs.

Every individual, friend, or foe felt their insides churn by the sheer aftershock from the magical beasts' roar.

Many even fell on their knees and coughed out large amounts of blood as they suffered internal injuries.

The Eidums, however, were safe and only felt their insides churn because the Abbot's shield protected them.

RAWRGH!

After the first combined roars of the three magical beasts, the Comodo let out a mighty roar as it raised its forearms. Then with great strength, it slammed its claws on the ground, sending great tremors that covered at least three hundred meters around it.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Boom!

Several huge cracks appeared on the ground, followed by an explosion as it caved in.

The whole battlefield immediately went into disarray.

Some were unfortunate ones standing where a crack appeared, fell into the deep crevices, and once it caved in, got buried into them.

Before they could even make sense of what had just happened, several lumps of earth emerged on the ground like spikes and skewered anyone close to it.

Blood, internal organs, and flesh exploded everywhere.

The Eidums on top of the steel walls paled, and a few even fell to the ground and puked from the gore of the sight.

Surprisingly, though, none of the fighters from Eidum were skewered or suffered from the sudden attacks.

The healers all looked at the Abbot in awe, believing that it was all due to his protection that kept them safe.

The Abbot remained silent. However, his mind was in turmoil because though he was protecting every Eidum on the battlefield, it was not him that prevented them from being skewered by those spikes.

'Found you.'

Kyran's eyes glowed silver as he finally found Cyneah.
