Kyran's heart had gone cold, thinking that he almost let White Lily die.

If he had been a second tad late, this black and white robed guy with a strange rings on his back would have really killed her.

It was quire fortunate that before warping the first batch of the Conclave and Army members to the Regis Estate, Kyran decided to return first and confirm it was still 'safe.'

To be honest, Kyran did not want to leave Stella, the rest of the Conclave Council Members, and most especially Cyneah in the Tower of Conclave with only its defensive array to protect them. After all, Osric was still there.

Even if Kyran was confident that his containment array could hold for a few hours, there was no telling if the remaining forces with Osric that managed to escape would do something to free him. They could even choose to attack the Conclave again if they discovered Kyran had left.

In the end, because of the restlessness he felt, Kyran still left the Tower of Conclave. Of course, before he left he made sure that Aki, Len and Neo were properly geared in case of emergency.

No sooner than Kyran appeared in the Regis Estate's Outer Wall did he felt a strange fluctuation from a distance. The fluctuation was not that strong but the fact he sensed it up to his location was proof that whatever— or whoever— caused it was no ordinary item or mage.

Besides, the direction the fluctuation came from was in Ravenpass. It might be the Macabre Glacier. If it was, Kyran wanted to know why it was suddenly emitting such a powerful fluctuation.

Kyran had not been to Ravenpass. Fortunately, he could warp to where someone he knew was at. It was due to this that he was able to warp where Byron was at previously even though he had never visited the Blue Lotus branch before.

The only exception had been Nolan and his family. But that was only because they had used an array that prevented Kyran from warping to them.

Kyran first warped to where their people had been hiding while keeping an eye on White Lily's and Layla's confrontation. There he found them unharmed but was unable to send out any communication because of the magic fluctuation.

Alas, as soon as Kyran appeared, he saw the black and white robed guy attacking White Lily.

In that instance, Kyran sensed how dangerous the black and white robed guy's magic attack was and knew White Lily would not be able to evade it nor would she able to survive if it actually landed.

And the black and white robed guy's magic attack did land and White Lily was about to die. Thus, Kyran unhesitatingly warped in front of White Lily while simultaneously activating his Void barrier. He also forced his barrier to let White Lily in without hurting her, and at the same time, destroying anything dangerous that had entered her body. In which case was the black and white robed guy's magic attack that actually aimed at her magic core.

White Lily felt a myriad of emotion upon Kyran's arrival. She did not expect him to come and save her at the last moment. As a matter of fact, White Lily was already resigned to her fate. Her only regret was unable to keep her promise to Caelan to see through everything they had planned to the end.

"H-How…?"

"You are… the new Dark Sage."

Before White Lily sort her thoughts and speak her mind, Obstruction already spoke and regarded Kyran's arrival.

At one side, Layla's beautiful brows creased slightly as she stared at Kyran.

Previously, when Kyran and Haylee met in the Boyd Family's villa, the former's face was half hidden. For this reason, no matter how much Layla tried to search Haylee's memories on what Kyran looked like, she could only remember a skinny young man's black and white photo. She would sometimes remember 'Disciple Tyr's' annoying face but she already knew it was only a disguise and pushed it out of her head. Besides, such a talented and good looking man could not possibly exist in this world.

However, looking at Kyran, whose face was no longer half hidden— not to mention, how gallant he appeared after saving White Lily in the nick of time, Layla could not help but admit he far exceeded the image of Tyr that Haylee had painted in her mind.

But Layla was not smitten by Kyran. As a matter of fact, she felt uneasy. Because his temperament and color was that of Zane's while his face was almost the same as Caelan's.

If Layla had to desribe what she was feeling in one word, she could easily say she was unnerved by Kyran.

"I am not expecting to see you so soon," Obstruction continued to speak unhurriedly. It was as if he was not worried about Kyran's interference, nor was he in a hurry to start a fight. His attitude was truly contradicting to the one he had shown toward White Lily.

"I am the Sovereign of Obstruction. You can just call me—."

CRACKLE!

Before Obstruction could finish what he was about to say, Kyran already moved. He transported White Lily into his Void World, released his Void barrier, roused the Draconic reinforced Void Armor that instantly covered his whole body, then created a Void Spear that he grabbed with his left. He pulled back his left arm and put all the weight he could muster before releasing the spear at Obstruction.

Layla's eyes widened in shock as soon as she saw Kyran's armor. Though the color was different, a combination of purple and silver, it made her recall Zane's Draconic Gear.

'This is not the time to be distracted!' Layla thought and shouted at Obstruction, "Don't let his attacks hit you! You will not be able to recover what it destroys—!"

Before Layla could complete what she wanted to say, Obstruction also moved.

WHIRL! SIZZLE! SIZZLE! CRACKLE! CRACKLE!

The rings behind him made whirring noises as they shifted and gathered a huge amount of magic energy in an instant. He then spread both his arms and the air crackled and sizzled around him.

A distortion in space appeared that surrounded Obstruction.

When Kyran saw the distortion, he recognized Obstruction's magic was Space. However, just like what Gael did to his Shadow magic, Obstruction had developed his Space magic in an unconventional direction.

CRACKLE!

The Void spear tore through the air and finally collided with Obstruction's distorted space.

The distorted space easily broke the Void spear's momentum, halting it in midair. However, the Void spear's shaft continued to crackle as the distorted space's surrounding started to emit sparks everywhere.

CRACKLE!

A second later, the Void spear that was stopped by the distorted space moved an inch.

Although there was only a dark mass under Obstruction's black and white hood, one could sense his expression turning cold upon seeing the Void spear move.

"I have underestimated your capability," Obstruction started. "How long has it been since you started to learn about your magic? Three years? No, I believe it is five years? Yet, you can already oppose the force of my space—."

WHOOSH!

While Obstruction was still speaking, Kyran had already took a step. In a blink of an eye, he was already in front and his left leg was raised high above Obstruction's head. Ignoring the latter's monologue, Kyran performed an axe kick, hitting the latter squarely on the head.

BAM!

Obstruction crashed several meters below, creating a huge explosion that destroyed the ground. A mixture of dirt and debris scattered, obscuring the aftermath of where he had landed.

Layla's eyes widened after seeing Kyran's ruthless attack. Obstruction was a Sovereign! How did Kyran's kick broke through Obstruction's defenses just like that? If the latter's mage level had been restrained, Layla would still think it was possible.

Obstruction did not confirm it but Layla sensed his level remained that of a Sovereign. It would have been impossible for Kyran to even land a blow, much less break through his defenses!

'No,' Layla shook her head as she looked at Kyran with wide eyes. 'He might have activated the Regis Blessing.'

Even as she thought this, she knew it was not the only reason. She felt there was something more to Kyran's kick just now.

Alas, Layla was not given the chance to dwell on this as Kyran disappeared from her line of sight. Fearing he would come after her, she did not dally and immediately used a teleportation scroll and escaped.

Actually, she did not really escaped that far but directly gone back to where the Macabre Glacier was. It might appear rude that she left Obstruction there but it was him who proposed helping her 'settle' her affairs. If he could not even resist Kyran's monstrous strength, what was the point of upholding him to his words?

Kyran never thought of attacking Layla. In the first place, she was using Haylee as a vessel. If he attacked her, Cyneah would also be affected.

Thus, Kyran ignored Layla and focused on Obstruction.

As Kyran appeared to where Obstruction landed, a huge magic fluctuation erupted in all direction. It was then followed by a powerful magic pressure that covered the whole Ravenpass.

Layla, who had just appeared in front of the Macabre Glacier was shocked after sensing the magic fluctuation and magic pressure.

Then the space that encompassed Ravenpass distorted and in a blink of an eye, it disappeared, leaving behind a huge crater at which it had been.
