Kyran's expression turned grim as he looked at the human-shape crater on the ground that Gael had fallen into after receiving Kyran's 360 back kick.

Thinking back on it, Kyran was sure Gael had lost consciousness after that attack. That was one of the reason he was able to focus on Osric.

Because of Gael's condition, Kyran was able to focus on Osric.

'Did he escape again?' He wondered, recalling how Gael escaped from him back in Tracomill.

'No, that should not be the case. I can still sense my orbs engaging those strange shadow minions.'

Because Kyran's puppets were dealing with the remaining Special Ops and enemy mages, he seized the moment to analyze what had happened.

Gael's appearance was something Kyran did not anticipate. At least, he did not think Gael would appear so soon. After all, Gael suffered a lot during their confrontation in the Tracomill.

Kyran's brow furrowed, remembering how he cut off one of Gael's hands in an attempt to stop him from using a scroll to escape. In the end, the latter still managed to activate the scroll by using his domain, which resulted in a huge explosion.

Gael suffered a great deal after that. But looking back at his condition upon his arrival, he did not look like he had just been fatally injured.

Then again, the Soul Emperor could use her magic to heal.

'Even with an essence for a vessel, she can still use her Soul magic well,' Kyran thought with a sigh.

Kyran had witnessed Haylee using her magic to heal several people at the same time. But those people had already received initial healing from Kyran's puppets and Haylee's healing had only amplified their healing capabilities, resulting in their fast recovery. None of them actually lost a limb…

Kyran's eyes widened as realization struck him.

'I cut Gael's hand using Void magic… how did that woman recovered his limb?'

As soon as this doubt surfaced in his mind, he shook his head and changed his perspective.

Soul magic is weak against Void magic. This truth had been confirmed in the past. It is impossible for the former to have an advantage over the latter because of this.

Think about it. If Soul magic's healing nature can recover severed limbs caused by Void magic's nature, then the former being weak against the latter is no longer valid.

Thus, instead of recovering Gael's limb using Soul magic, Layla might have used a different approach to provide him a new one.

The Royal Army Research Division possessed the technology to create dummies, which could be liken to real human bodies. It would not be surprising if they were able to use the same technology to restore Gael's hand.

Regardless of the truth, Kyran put that aside for now.

Since Gael arrived here in good shape, and managed to summon those strange shadow minions as if he did not have to worry about wasting his magic energy, it meant Layla's healing was on par or maybe even better than Cyneah's…

"T-Then. C-Come back in three minutes. Sister Stella and I will wait for you, r-right here."

Cyneah's words suddenly echoed in Kyran's mind, halting his train of thought.

Three minutes was already over! As a matter of fact, almost an hour had passed since the time he went out to meet the enemies.

How could he forget his promise?

Err… He did not really promise anything but he did not want Cyneah to worry because he did not return as soon as possible.

Kyran immediately turned, preparing to return to the Tower of Conclave. He initially wanted to check on Aki, Len and his orbs, fighting the Special Ops and the strange shadow minions, respectively. But now that he could use his magic sense again, he did not have to go there and check them personally.

With this in mind, Kyran roused his magic and was about to warp back to the Tower of Conclave when suddenly the whole surroundings turned dark.

"We're not done here."

Gael's voice sounded close to Kyran's ears.

Kyran instantly changed his magic's circulation from warping to reinforcing his Void armor.

Although it was already enhanced after combining Draconic magic into it, Kyran knew how perverse Gael's Shadow magic was— not to mention, his domain.

Amplified by his domain, as well as having the advantage in environment because it was nighttime, Gael's Shadow magic received a huge boost.

"Your armor cannot protect you."

Gael's voice echoed throughout the darkness.

"Actually, it would not make any difference because hurting you is no longer my objective."

Kyran's reddish-purple eyes glowed as he scanned his surrounding using his magic sense.

"It is futile," Gael's voice sounded again. "Inside my domain, you will not be able to find me using such means."

Kyran ignored Gael's rambling and used his Draconic magic to enhance his senses.

Who said he could only use magic sense to find his enemies?

While Kyran focused on finding Gael, Gael focused on playing with Kyran's head.

"Did you think I've brought the Special Ops to infiltrate the Tower of Conclave?" Gael paused and laughed before continuing, "No. That is only a diversion."

Kyran still ignored Gael. Nevertheless, he admitted the word 'diversion,' got his attention.

"You should not have revealed your identity as 'Disciple Tyr.' But since you have, then its good for us. Now we are aware of what you can do with arrays and even know about your puppets.

"You really have some unexpected cards up your sleeves. A beast tamer… puppets… even high-tier array formations. But…" Gael paused dramtically once more before adding, "As long as we forced you to use them, and exhaust your energy to a certain degree, then we have a better chance in isolating you like this."

Kyran frowned at Gael's words. From the way the latter had said those things, it was as if they were so sure of succeeding in exhausting all of his cards.

He suddenly had a bad foreboding.

Was Gael implying something? Did something happen in Noser?

Because Gael mentioned about being a beast tamer, Kyran guessed they already know the beasts in Noser were all his.

Well, that was already obvious. But they were not aware they were his Sigils and instead only regarded them as tamed beasts.

In any case, from Gael's words, it sounded as if they had succeeded in exhausting Kyran's beasts. If this was true, then it only meant that something had happened in Noser.

Kyran forced himself to stop overthinking. In the first place, the last update they received from Noser was that they already had the situation under control.

There was a good chance Gael said all of those things to rile him up.

"Senior Osric should be the one isolating you like this. But you isolated him, instead. Impressive. But you know… after receiving your kick and hitting my head hard, I suddenly experienced a eureka moment."

Before Kyran could cut off Gael's nonsensical rambling, the latter's next words made him stop.

"You never really countered my magic. Since this is the case, then doesn't it mean that I have a better chance of isolating you? Never mind possessing a lower mage level than Senior Osric. I've already seen how you can overwhelm him with brute force. But you can't do that to me while in my domain."

Kyran's eyes narrowed.

What Gael said was true. The reason was simple, Shadow magic did not have any 'form.'

Water magic, though it could also be considered 'formless,' it still had substance. But Shadow magic did not possess this. Thus, he could not use his brute force to destroy it. It was for this reason that when Kyran attacked Osric with his fist earlier, Gael successfully blocked it with his Shadow Wall.

"Anyway, isolating you is only the first step in achieving our objective. Because as long as we do this, we can force her out."

Kyran furrowed his brows, not understanding what Gael meant at first.

To be precise, he thought Gael was referring to Stella. But why did they want to force her out? In the first place, Stella could use her magic without having to step out of the Tower of Conclave. Although it would mean she had to use more magic energy, Time magic was technically a target-specific based magic spell.

"You looked confused. Good! Hahahahaha!"

After hearing Gael talked so much, Kyran started to get annoyed by his nonsense. But he was not given the chance to rebuke Gael because the things he said next made him realize who he was really referring to.

"Lira did a good job deciphering the relationship you have with her Highness's other-half. Because of this, we know how important she is to you, and the same goes with her.

"That is why, if she knew you are in a tight spot, she will definitely come out and find a way to aid you. Don't you think so, new Dark Sage?"
