Creating a new world was not synonymous with creating a new plane. Not even a highly skilled mage, or even Sovereigns, could create a new plane.

What Kyran intended to do was create a 'world' within the void of an existing plane.

One good example of such a world was the Spirits world; it was situated within the Human plane but did not overlap. Such an occurrence could be likened to two realms coexisting in the same plane, but was different from a parallel world.

Nevertheless the Spirits world could not absorb the magic energy in the Human plane and needed its own magic energy source to sustain life within. Because of this, the Spirit world had an artificial magic energy source called the 'heart' to supply it with magic energy. After all, a world could only flourish if there was enough magic energy circulating within.

[And what will you use as the 'heart?' As far as I know, you have to prepare a potent and stable item for that. When master created the Spirit world, he had to fuse a part of his original co— no! I did not say anything! No, no! No! I managed to stop before I slipped this time!]

True void spouted hysterically. Then, as if nothing had happened, he took a deep breath, composed himself and continued.

[Aren't you using your own magic cores to sustain your domain? You have to prepare a similar one if you want to create a new world.]

Kyran regarded True Void with a blank expression. It was not the first time True Void said things he should not have and Kyran was already used to it. Besides, he already guessed Caelan created the Spirits world from the way they treated him.

Kyran chose to let True Void's strangeness slide and went back on topic. He shook his head and replied, 'You're overthinking it. I only need a decent item with enough magic energy to create the new world. Besides, I will only use that world to imprison the Echidna until the Sovereign of Savagery comes. I don't plan on keeping it after.'

As he said this, he took out an energy core. The energy core was precisely the same one he used on his puppets. Using the knowledge, he got from the purple slip— one of the first rewards he chose in the Tower of Tribulation, he learned how to create an energy core that could absorb and convert energies.

Kyran planned on using the energy core as the new world's heart. As to where the energy core would absorb its energy, it would come from the Echidna. This way, he could ensure the Echidna would not be able to recover its strength fully.

[Right. That bloody energy core. A stupid replica of my unique ability. Humph.]

Kyran chuckled at True Void's rant. He remembered appeasing his foul mood by letting him become the 'leader' of the puppets.

'Now that you're awake, you're now in charge of the completed puppets,' Kyran said to appease him.

[Humph. Do you think I'm a fool? I know you are only trying to pull my leg by saying that. Anyway, where are the puppets? If you have completed ones, you should have told me sooner!]

Kyran chuckled. Instead of replying to True Void's demand, he said, 'Keep an eye out.'

[Yeah. Yeah. Go ahead and make your world.]

Kyran's reddish-purple eyes glowed, and simultaneously the energy core on his hand emitted a soft light.

Then Kyran opened his mouth. His lips moved. However, no sound came out. Instead, purple runes appeared one after another. A long string of purple runes rushed out and circled him like purple ribbons dancing with the wind.

Soon the string of purple runes increased and covered at least a five-meter radius of space around Kyran.

The light from the energy core intensified and spread in different directions. It did not take long for the light to arrive at the still hissing Echidna.

After a few seconds, the whole northern area of the island glowed with a blinding light.

From a distance, Ingrid and Imman stopped midair and looked in the direction of the light.

"That's where the Echidna is," Imman said, his brows furrowed slightly.

Ingrid took out her communication device and contacted Mannick.

"Is the entity still fighting the Manticore?" She asked as soon as Mannick's silhouette appeared.

"I looking for them," Mannick replied, his silhouette blurred slightly as if he was on the move. "I lost sight of them a few minutes ago, and when I got close to where I last saw them and retrace heir tracks, I didn't find any."

"Tsk. Useless," Imman scoffed loud enough for Mannick to hear.

Mannick sneered, "I'd like to see how 'close' you have to be just to 'spy' on those two."

Mannick jabbed at Imman's sore spot, the latter's smaller magic sense range.

"And?" Ingrid interjected before Imman could respond to Mannick's jab. "Any luck?"

Mannick shook his head, "No. But I am planning on checking that light up north."

"You can also see that light from where you are, huh."

"I can. I'll let you know if I find anything—."

"That won't be necessary."

Suddenly Mannick's silhouette split, and another silhouette appeared next to him. It wore a black fitted hooded robe, and judging from the lazy yet amorous sounding voice and the silhouette's shape, it was a woman.

Ingrid and Imman's eyes narrowed at once.

They had only met this 'person' once and felt their profound magic level.

It seemed, Fye succeeded in bringing 'them'— or at least one of 'them' to the Courtenay Land in a short time.

"Haylee issued your retreat. I will take care of the rest."

After saying her piece, she disconnected.

From Mannick's end, he stared at the communication device in his hand, which only showed Ingrid's silhouette after the 'woman' disconnected.

Ingrid wore a discontent expression and said, "That woman... How dare she call the princess by her name."

"It seemed our effort has gone to waste," Ingrid said. But then she shook her head and told Mannick, "We'll retreat as adviced and leave the fortresses in place."

Mannick nodded, "Got it.'

With that he disconnected. His expression instantly turned grim as he descended on the ground and lowered his hand.

As soon as he landed, he closed his eyes and 'looked' at the whole island.

'I can't see them...' he thought and opened his eyes again.

Looking in the north direction, Mannick noticed the slowly fading light.

As the previous Void Master's shield, Mannick knew the Void Master's abilities. It was not an exaggeration to say that Mannick and True Void were the only ones alive on the Human plane that knew the extent of the Void Master's magic.

For this reason, Mannick was not worried about Kyran's disappearance. As a matter of fact, he knew the latter could hide his presence to the point that even he, given who he was, could not sense him. Nevertheless, he hoped Kyran's disappearance was because he had already finished what he had to and left.

If not, Kyran would inevitably encounter that woman, one of the outsiders.

'And if that happens... I can only help by restricting the level of her summons...' Mannick thought and clenched his fist.

As he was now, he could not directly meddle in Kyran's affairs because all that was happening could have a huge impact on the Human plane's future. At most, Mannick could only observe on the sidelines.

With eyes filled with determination, Mannick turned and left.

====================

The air crackled a thousand meters above the island, and slowly the space distorted and split. A woman in a black fitted hooded robe appeared and stayed suspended above.

She was one of the outsiders, the Sovereign of Savagery.

The fierce wind above blew down the hood of her robe, revealing a hairless young woman with porcelain-like white skin. Her eyes were full, crimson, reminiscent of the Echidna's ruby red eyes. Small ruby stones were lined from the tip of her nose to above her brows, forming a letter T. Her lips were the same color as her skin, with only a crimson line painted at the center of her lower lip.

She lifted her delicate white hands with her plans facing upward.

The magic energies in the surroundings circled her arms and slowly converged on her palms. They dance on top of her palms and soon two miniature odd-looking beasts formed.

One of the beasts looked like a purple and black panther with glittery butterfly wings, while the other was a lizard with spider limbs attached to its back.

"Go forth, my babies," she said in a lazy-amorous tone while letting the two beasts fall from her hand.

PUFF! PUFF!

Soft puffing sounds filled the air as the miniature beasts grew fifteen meters.

"Find that bastard who kidnapped your brethren," the woman added.

RAWRGH!

KWIIISSH!

The panther and the lizard roared and hissed, respectively, before descending to the ground with deft, agile movements. In a blink of an eye, the two disappeared into the island.

The woman also looked toward the location where the Echidna had been. With eyes glowing with malice, she sped toward the north side of the island.
