Chapter 355: Are you cheating on me?
Cain’s eyes widened in horror as he looked from side to side. There was no one around, but he was sure that he clearly heard a woman’s voice calling out to him.
‘Was this the woman Cedric was referring to?’
His face paled at the terrifying thought. In the first place, it was far from a good sign that he was randomly hearing a woman’s voice from the supposed ether. He really had to see Cedric this instant and tell the man about his findings.
His mind made up, Cain stood up and began to get ready. He was about to get dressed when Kimmy appeared from inside the bathroom.
“You won’t take a shower?” Kimmy asked with narrowed eyes, noticing that her fiance was getting dressed without even so much as cleaning himself.
Caught red-handed, Cain flashed a wavering smile as he said, “I’m just going to meet someone. It’s very urgent, Kimmy. I’ll call you when I’m done, okay?”
Kimmy wanted to say more, but Cain had already rushed outside before she could even open her mouth. Frowning, she whispered, “Something’s wrong...”

A few of her alarm bells were ringing in her head. This wasn’t something that she knew Cain would do. Walked towards the closet, she expected to see the notebook she saw earlier. She had a feeling it had something to do with her fiance’s change in behavior. But before she could even crack it open, it was no longer there.
“What is going on...” she confusedly mumbled out with a frown. She didn’t know why, but it was just something she couldn’t let go of for some reason.
Letting out an intrepid breath, Kimmy quickly got out of the room and made her way directly to the control room of the palace. As soon as she arrived, however, some random guard blocked her way.
“Princess, we cannot let you in at any time. Let’s first wait for the King’s approva-”
“Get out of my way.”
Kimmy didn’t bother letting the security guard finish his words as she quickly knocked him out. Stepping over the man’s unconscious form, she stormed her way to the inside of the control room.
“Do you want me to make you sleep as well?” she barked out as soon as she made eye contact with the one man sitting in front of the computer. She probably could’ve put everyone to sleep if she wanted to, but she really didn’t want that to happen.
Thankfully, the man quickly went out of the room with but a single glance. Letting out a sigh, Kimmy immediately sat at the helm and checked the live footage to follow where Cain was going.
“There’s nothing to worry, guys, so don’t report all of this to the King and spoil the mood of the news of him being a father,” Kimmy casually mumbled out, her eyes flitting from screen to screen. “I just wanted to check where my fiance is going...”
With a small breath, Kimmy scanned through the monitors. Eventually...
“Found you,” she whispered out as soon as she saw a glimpse of him.
At that instant, she stormed out of the room and tailed her wayward fiance. Making a bit of headway, she stopped at a particular door that Cain had just entered. But as soon as she tried to open it, the door promptly denied her entry. Kimmy raised an eyebrow as she whispered, “Only authorized personnel can enter...”
Her jaw clenched as she grabbed her mobile phone to call the man. “Where are you?” she calmly asked to the other line as soon as he answered.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I had to leave in a rush,” Cain hastily responded. “It won’t take long. I’ll just meet wtih a client outside the palace and-”
“Let me in,” Kimmy cut him off with a clenched fist. Cain was lying to her, and she didn’t like it one bit.
“Kimberly? W-what do you mean?” Cain naively asked from the other line.
“Stop playing with me, Cain. I’m in front of the door of the room you just entered, and I can’t get inside,” Kimmy simpered, almost screaming as she barked out. “Let me in now! Don’t let me make a commotion out here!”
She was furious, and there was more than enough reason as to why. Kimmy hated how Cain lied right in her face! He better had a valid reason for his stunt, or she would really be pissed off.
“Keep me waiting for any longer and you’re dead!” she grunted before sharply ending the call. Only a few seconds later, the door opened and Kimmy saw Cain’s pale face.
“Kimmy, I-”
She didn’t waste any time for him to explain himself as she quickly entered the room and closed the door behind her.
“I’m going with you,” Kimmy forcefully demanded with a deadly stare. “Lead the way.”
Cain gulped, nervously massaging his nape as he watched Kimmy look around. Eventually, they began walking through the hallways.
“Is this a new wing? I haven’t been here before...” Kimmy wondered out, a gloomy expression still on her face as she walked.
“Kimberly, we should get out of here. I’ll explain everything later,” Cain pleaded, even holding onto her arm as he tried pulling her with him. Kimmy, however, shook it off.
“Don’t stop me, Cain! What are you hiding?” she exclaimed. “And what’s with the creepy vibe of this wing?”
“This is the Forbidden Wing, Kimberly,” Cain wearily explained. “And you can’t be in here.” He then tried to grab onto her arm again, which she promptly shook off before his fingers could even wrap themselves around her.
“A Forbidden Wing that you can only enter, huh?” Kimmy scornfully scoffed as she continued walking. No one could stop her now. Cain was definitely hiding something, and this so-called Forbidden was connected to it all.
“Only His Majesty, the King, Will, and myself can enter this wing, Kimberly,” Cain pleaded once more. “So can we please get out of here? Or at least, talk with Gavin first?”
Having enough of his pitiful tone, Kimmy stopped and turned to Cain. “Tell me, what are you hiding?” she demanded. “You’re breaking my trust here, Cain. We promised not to hide anything from each other!”
Silence was the only thing she got from him.
Kimmy continued, undeterred by his lack of an answer. “I can feel it... Something’s bothering you. And in this wing, this person that you’re going to meet here...” she trailed off, her voice taking on a more pleading tone “I can tell that there’s a connection here. So please just tell me what is going on.”
It was painful. She wanted to trust Cain, and really she didn’t want that trust to be broken. However, seeing him avoiding eye contact with her was only making her even more anxious.
“See!? You can’t even look me straight in the eye!” Kimmy pointed out. “This is suspicious, Cain! Is there another woman? Are you cheating on me?!” she weakly accused, her heart thumping loudly in her chest.
Cain cursed under his breath before he quickly said, “No! How could you think like that?! You’re the only woman in my life, Kimberly. There’s no one else!”
“Then tell me who you’re meeting!” Kimmy ordered out, sounding not too convinced with Cain’s answer.
“I’m meeting up with Cedric here.” Cain blurted out.
“Cedric?” Kimmy responded with astonishment. “He’s back? This new wing is his?”
“Yes, my dear cousin... I’m back.”
Hearing a new voice enter the scene, Kimmy turned to meet the man, her eyes widening upon seeing Cedric before her.
“Cedric!” she excitedly exclaimed as she then quickly hugged the man tightly.
Cain gulped, seeing the sharp gaze Cedric was throwing at him saying, ‘Why is she here?!’
