Kimmy and Cain arrived at the hospital. She smiled as every employee greeted them. She had a poker smile on her face because deep inside she knew most of the women were absolutely just talking behind her back.

It was her fault anyway, people loved to gossip and what she did before was something that could not be buried in time. She knew she was at fault for being a runaway bride like that. She was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. For now, she decided to focus on completing the three months period of being Cain's servant and make a good job out of it so somehow it would lessen the guilt she was feeling for what she had caused.

She opened her laptop and started working. While doing so, she could not help but smile once in a while as she thought of how she would party later on. She noticed Cain was the serious type maybe because of his age? Or maybe because he was just too busy at work.

Life shouldn't be just about work or you would get exhausted. Doing the same routine every day was very tiring and Cain's lifestyle was like that. They had the same routine for days over and over again. And for some reason, she wanted Cain to have a productive lifestyle aside from work.

'Since when did I become so nosy in somebody else's life like this?' Kimmy silently questioned herself.

She looked at Cain with squinted eyes and suddenly wondered how he would react once she went all out into a disco bar later. It had been a while since she let herself loose…

That was what came to her mind a while ago, go to a disco bar, get drunk, dance, and party through the night. It was because she was still pissed off with the people that were talking behind her back even though she kept reminding herself that she should not get affected by it!

Then she thought about where to bring Cain after lunch. He was free after lunch so they still had plenty of hours before the night party she was planning to attend.

Hours went by fast and soon they went out and she accompanied Cain for his lunch meeting.

"Your Royal Highness," the man Cain had a meeting with, was so surprised to see her inside the private room. He recognized her but she did not know him.

Cain was expressionless as he casually introduced Kimmy as "she's my assistant. Ms. Kimberly Hansen."

"It's nice meeting you Miss Hansen," the man said as he extended his hand for a handshake. Cain introduced the man as Mr. Jones. He was one of the investors who were interested in the expansion of Lewis Hospital.

Not everyone could recognize Kimmy since like her cousin, Cedric, she too loved her privacy too much so she would not just show herself to the people unless it was really necessary. She too had people around her to make sure her privacy would be kept intact.

From the looks of it, the man, Mr. Jones, was obviously interested in Kimmy since he was glancing at her most of the time and Cain was not liking it that he had to end the meeting as soon as he had the opportunity.

"I am honored about the offers Mr. Jones and like I said, I will discuss this matter first with my team and contact you again," Cain said as he suddenly rose from his chair.

Mr. Jones creased his forehead. He sensed that Dr. Lewis seemed to be in a rush to end the meeting when clearly his hospital would benefit more from his offers.

Cain turned at Kimmy and said, "let's go."

Kimmy followed Cain, puzzled.

When they were inside the car, she asked, "what's wrong? The offer is good. I think you should grab that opportunity. Why are you in a hurry?"

She was putting on his seatbelt while asking. She failed to notice how Cain was staring at her.

"I don't like him." Cain plainly answered. Kimmy locked the seatbelt and turned to look at him.

"Why? He seems nice and professional. I heard the plan and it sounds good to me."

Cain held his breath. Kimmy's scent was lingering in his nose and it was affecting him greatly. He hated to admit it but Kimmy's nearness was…

Cain heaved a long deep sigh and whispered, "let's just go."

Kimmy then moved and walked to the driver's seat and started the engine. She stepped on the gas and started driving on the road.

"What do you want to do now?" Cain asked.

"Hmm, later I want to go to a disco bar to party… As for now, maybe I will go for a stroll around the park…" Kimmy replied.

"If you want, I can drop you first so you can rest. I think you work too much. You really need a rest, doc." Kimmy added.

"It's okay. I will go with you. I want to take a stroll in the park. It's been a while since I last did that," Cain replied.

Kimmy then stopped the car at the park and she walked around together with Cain. The weather was nice. There was sun but it was not that hot, just enough humid for a good walk around the greenery park.

"When I was young… My mother and father used to walk with me here," Kimmy whispered as she sat on the nearest bench and looked at the people around. She missed old times like that when they still had a very good family relationship till her father ruined everything by having other women.

"Do you want me to buy you some ice cream?" Cain asked when he saw an ice cream parlor at the side.

Kimmy's eyes widened as she nodded so Cain immediately stood up to get them some ice creams. She followed Cain and subconsciously muttered, "if I didn't run away that day from the wedding... How will things turn out to be between us? Will we fall in love with each other or will we just end up ruining each other's life because everything was just an arranged marriage?"
