At Gavin's Villa.
Brione stretched her hand while still keeping her eyes closed in search of her husband but was confused when she felt the empty bed. She couldn't even feel Gavin's residual warmth so she opened her eyes while rubbing it lightly while wondering where he went. She raised her body and looked at the wall clock in their bedroom. It was only two in the morning.
She subconsciously smiled recalling how many times they made love… Her face blushed hard, recalling how aggressive she was.
Her eyes saw the sparkling rings on her hands and a beautiful smile carved on her lips. She wore two diamond rings Gavin gave her, the yellow one on her right hand and the diamond he gave at the party a while ago when he proposed, on her left hand.
"Where is he?" she whispered and got down from the bed to look at her husband. She thought he might be in the bathroom so she went to look for him there but she was puzzled when he was not there.
She stepped out of their bedroom and searched the whole house for him. She started panicking when she could not find him anywhere. Brione even pinched herself to make sure that she was not dreaming.
"Ouch!" she hissed when she felt the pain. She was on the second floor of their villa clueless about what to do next.
Just when she was about to call her brother for help, she heard a light tapping sound from the other end of the hallway. She followed the sound which led her to his personal library. She could hear him typing more clearly now that she was outside the door. She was happy and glad to know that Gavin was finally returning to the old routine he had before he lost his memory.
Gavin had mentioned that his body was compelling him to start writing again which she believed was a good sign. After all, Gavin was an established author with many awards for his books. He also had a lot of fans who would be happy to know that their favorite author has started to write again.
She remembered that Gavin was in the process of writing a book on the journey of the couple Liam Sy and Lana Huang but was unable to finish it because of his accident. She even giggled thinking about the possibility of him writing their love story as his next book. All the books he had written till now were based on the life of real-life couples. All of which ended up becoming best-sellers as soon as they were released.
She couldn't stop wondering if their story would be loved by his fans or not. Not that it mattered but she won't deny that it feels good when people love and gush about their love story.
She scolded herself for zoning out and shook her head to remove those thoughts. She slowly opened the door hoping to see Gavin doing his work but what she saw before her made her eyes pop out. What she was expecting was to see Gavin typing on his laptop but what she saw was Gavin coming out from a secret door hidden behind his bookshelf.
'Is that a hidden room? Like the one he had in his secret den?!' Brione gasped in shock.
"Darling?…" she finally breathed out after getting over her initial shock and surprise.
"Sweetheart?! What are you doing here?" Gavin gasped, utterly surprised to see her staring at him with a bewildered and confused expression. He silently cursed his luck because he did not expect Brione to catch him red-handed like this. He never wanted to hide anything from his wife but right now, it was not the correct time to disclose the secrets behind this hidden room to Brione.
"There's a secret room here too? How come I'm not aware of it? What's inside the room?" Brione questioned him in one breath. Gavin was quick to walk to her side to stop her from moving forward. He held her shoulders and started walking out of the library pulling her along.
"Yeah, it's just some private stuff about work and all, sweetheart. It's similar to the one in my den at Perdu Island. You remember that right? It's the same," Gavin casually stated secretly hoping Brione would let this topic go and not ask more about it.
He did not want to tell her about it without confirming the truth, especially since he himself was still confused about the changes happening in his own body. The set-up he had and the changes he was encountering at the moment were things that were out of the ordinary.
Xander had already informed Gavin that he was a very important part of the secret underworld group Mirage and the changes he was encountering were because he is a part of it. And also it would be futile to tell Brione everything since like Xander had said before, The Mirage would make sure to erase Brione's memories to keep the information about them confidential.
"Private stuff? Darling, what are you hiding from me? Should I be suspicious? I mean, are you hiding some women inside that secret room?" Brione questioned with narrow eyes, making Gavin chuckle in amusement. He could not believe how imaginative her brain could get.
"Of course not! You know how I'm head over heels in love with you sweetheart. In fact, my eyes refuse to acknowledge any other woman who is not you my Bri! I just have some stuff related to my writing that I have kept there. You know that I'm pretty serious when I'm writing so I just wanted a separate space for that. I didn't want any distractions while I'm writing." Gavin explained as they continued to walk back to their bedroom.
"But I'm really curious. I want to see your working space…" Brione whined as they entered their bedroom.
"There's nothing special over there sweetheart. It's actually a complete mess with my papers thrown here and there along with my laptop. Instead, how about we do some other things right here in our bedroom? Like me exploring more of my wife?" Gavin sensually whispered near her ears as his hand started tracing her neckline from behind her. His feathery touch along with his sexy and husky voice never failed to give her goosebumps.
Gavin turned Brione around to look at her and gently caressed her face with his thumb. His finger started tracing her nose slowly moving down to her neck and her collarbone before removing the straps of her negligee letting it pool at her feet.
"You're so beautiful my wife that I think I'm addicted to you..." Gavin breathed while his hands continued stroking her soft and supple skin eventually turning her on even more.
Brione who was lost in the sensations he was causing her to feel completely forgot about the secret room. Her breath hitched and she closed her eyes to enjoy what he was doing to her.
Gavin was slightly relieved that he managed to distract her and continued leaving teasing kisses all over her neck and shoulders.?He finally lost his patience and scooped her up in his arms and carried her to their bed. After he gently laid her, he removed his own clothes at record speed and hovered over her before he continued raining kisses all over her.
