Mitch thought she was already doing fine entertaining Kevin but still, she had lots to catch up on. She hoped she would be as vocal as Kevin.

Kevin's straightforwardness was making her speechless most of the time. Her heart was fluttering so much. She could feel both excitement and nervousness at this moment.

This was the first time she experienced something like this with a guy. She was a late bloomer and focused herself on working. She never dated men nor entertained them. She lacked experience in dealing with men who were interested in her.

But this time, she would like to try to open up with Kevin. She could not deny the fact that she liked him. She could feel a strong attraction toward him.

She wanted to work this out. She's not getting any younger. She didn't want to be an old maid forever. Seeing how Brione and Gavin loved each other, Mitch also wanted to experience that kind of love.

Mustering up her courage, Mitch had decided to confront Kevin. She wanted to know his thoughts about her. Until now, she was still wondering why Kevin chose to ask her out instead of Berry.

Compared to her, Berry was more likable for men. She had a bubbly attitude and was not reserved, unlike her who was prim and proper.

"Kevin… Can I ask you something?" Mitch said bashfully, biting her lower lip.

Her heart was pounding so hard inside her chest. She was a little bit shy to ask but she wanted to get an honest answer from Kevin.

"Sure, Mitch. You can ask me anything," he promptly responded with a smile.

Kevin was all eyes and all ears on her, anticipating her question. He could feel that Mitch was curious about something.

"Kevin, why me?" Mitch asked him anxiously. Because of nervousness, she could only utter those three words.

Kevin looked at her amusingly and said, "Why not you?"

Mitch: "..."

'Oh Lord, I asked him a question but he answered me with another question.' Mitch sighed deeply.

"I mean, there are other female staff from our production team that you met in Perdu Island like Berry and others. I am just wondering why among those women you chose to ask me out."

Mitch lowered her gaze after saying those words. She didn't want to look like an insecure woman. But she couldn't help it. She just thought there were other women who looked better than her. Someone with more EQ, fun to talk to, and would not bore him to death.

Kevin paused for a moment, assessing Mitch's reaction. He could somehow guess what was running in her mind right now.

"Mitch, you are unique. I like you," Kevin said with his straightforward tone. He lifted her chin so that he could meet her eyes. The smile on his lips never left.

Mitch was looking at him with complicated emotions on her face. "Why do you like me?"

"Honestly, I like aloof women like you. There is something about you that

made you stand out from other women," He told her truthfully.

"When we were at Pedru Island, I tried to talk to you but you kept on avoiding me. Because of that, I got more curious about you. You were the only woman out there who caught my interest."

Mitch didn't know what to say after hearing that. It seemed that Kevin was not a typical guy. He also had a unique taste in women.

"When you and your team left Perdu Island, I felt saddened that I was not able to talk to you even once. So when Royal highness told me that I would be coming with him to Country D. I got excited since I would get to see you again."

Kevin was too honest and very expressive for a guy. Mitch couldn't help but listen to him attentively. She could feel the sincerity in his every word.

"Forgive me if you think I acted so fast asking you out the very moment we saw each other again in this country." Kevin let out a soft chuckle while scratching the back of his head.

"I just told myself that this time I will try to get to know you more. I will not let you avoid me again. Do you know that I was so nervous at that time, thinking that you would turn me down when I asked you out? But luckily, you agreed! You didn't know how happy I was when you said yes."

"Thank you, Mitch, for giving me a chance. I hope you will no longer avoid me this time. I really want to get to know you more. I hope you feel the same way."

Kevin's eyes were glowing with joy. He reflexively grabbed her hands, still staring at her face.

Mitch was overwhelmed by this confession from Kevin. She was tongue-tied. Her heart raced even faster. Her heartbeat was so loud in her ears.

'I think I like him more now. He is too frank and honest. He didn't use flowery words but my heart can feel his sincerity. Gosh, what should I say? I'm not good at words. There are lots of things I wanna say to him but I can't voice it out. How I wish I had the power of Berry's blabbering mouth even just today.'

Unconsciously, Mitch squeezed Kevin's hands that were holding hers. She was too anxious to speak up.

Then she remembered Berry's advice. Berry once told her that if ever she cut her tongue and was unable to speak, she advised her to just pull Kevin and kiss him.

At that certain moment, Mitch had a crazy idea of doing Berry's advice. She gazed up, staring at Kevin's face until her eyes moved on his lips.

Mitch gulped hard. She wanted to try and kiss him right here and right then. Gathering her courage up, Mitch raised her hands, cupping Kevin's face. Facing each other, she leaned over to close their gaps.

Her face was inching closer and closer to his face. Kevin remained frozen in his seat, waiting for Mitch's lips to touch his. Their faces were only centimeters away from each other and they were about to kiss when suddenly the door swung open and Berry's voice was heard.

"I'm back!"

Her sudden arrival shocked the two people thus interrupting them from what they were about to do.

Berry's eyes widened in surprise. She almost dropped the snacks she was holding upon seeing Mitch's and Kevin's current position.

'Oh my gosh! I think I had the worst timing ever! Are the two going to kiss?'

Then Berry met Mitch's glaring eyes. If one look could kill, then Berry should have been dead by now. Mitch was looking dagger at her. In her expression alone, she could tell that her friend was already thinking of so many ways on how to kill her.

"Hehehe, Ahem, sorry about that. Just continue what you are doing! Just treat me like an invisible person. Don't worry I am blind I didn't see anything. I didn't see that you two were about to kiss!" Berry said spontaneously while smiling sheepishly.

Her words just made the situation more awkward.

"Berry!!!" Mitch screamed her name. She had the urge to pull Berry's hair and cut her tongue off.
