Book 3: Chapter 13: Kal’tsit Taking a Loan

Now, Chen Heng felt regret—extreme regret.

He had always treated Sirin as a kid, so he had not minded.

However, he did not expect Sirin to have a habit of hugging things when she slept. Furthermore, she was a little afraid of the thunder, so…

While Sirin fell asleep, Chen Heng could not. Sirin hugged Chen Heng tightly, like a body pillow. However, he dared not resist lest he wake her up.

Let’s use an example to describe this situation. Does everyone have the habit of hugging a blanket or pillow when sleeping? Well, Chen Heng was that pillow or blanket now.

Although Sirin was only 14 years old, she had developed pretty well. (Three sizes: 72-53-75)

Calm down! Calm down! Sirin is just 14, still a child. Calm, my ass! I can’t hold on for much longer!

No. I’m escaping to the group chat. Casually chatting makes me happy! Casually chatting calms me down.

Think of Merlin! Think of Mari! Right! Look at Merlin’s crossdressing pictures!

Chen Heng thought of something. Then he opened the chat group’s photo album.

This indeed helped; he slowly calmed down. It looked like Merlin was not completely useless, after all. At least he was good for something.

Since I’ve calmed down already, I should just spend time in the chat group. That is the best way to distract myself.

He Who Knows Fate: I just collected all the rewards. However, I did not expect Alaya to have such a scummy move. It really changed my perception of world consciousnesses.

Efreet: What’s wrong?

Magus of Flowers: Tell us what upset you. Let everyone be happy.

Administrator He Who Knows Fate muted Magus of Flowers for ten minutes.

He Who Knows Fate: Phew! I’m happy now. Thanks, Merlin.

Lord of the White Night: It looks like there’s no changing Merlin’s wretched mouth.

17-Year-Old Beautiful Young Lady: Little Elder Brother, do continue. Educate us a little about world consciousnesses.

He Who Knows Fate: When Alaya issued the mission to me, one of the stated rewards was to half-repair my Absolute Precognition. Otherwise, 1,000 points would not have been sufficient for me to consider that mission. In the end, Alaya gave me a half-price discount card after I completed the mission.

I Have a Strong Presence: A half-price discount card? That pragmatic?

He Who Knows Fate: This move caught me off-guard. Although the result would be the same, I need 50,000 points first before I can use this half-price discount card. Furthermore, where did Alaya get it?

17-Year-Old Beautiful Young Lady: Now I know a world consciousness’s lower limit is lower than I previously thought.

Queen of Ice and Snow: World consciousness? Is Alaya worthy? Speaking of world consciousnesses, it should be Root. Furthermore, whether Root can be the world consciousness is still up for debate. At best, Alaya is a representative of a representative.

[TL Note: Root is also known as the Akashic Records. Here is more information about Root: /wiki/Swirl_of_the_Root.]

He Who Knows Fate: Speaking of Root, I just recalled that Ryougi Shiki is still with me.

Queen of Ice and Snow: ???

Solomon: ???

Efreet: What’s wrong?

Queen of Ice and Snow: Ryougi Shiki? The person whose body is directly connected to the Root?

He Who Knows Fate: That’s right. She is even my younger sister in name.

Solomon: Ah! This… I have been looking at the Type-Moon comics in the store, and Leonardo da Vinci has been criticizing me daily for being in a daze for a long time (grumbling slightly), so I know who Ryougi Shiki is. However, why is she with you?

17-Year-Old Beautiful Young Lady: That’s right. When He Who Knows Fate explained it to us, Doctor Roman had not joined yet. Can someone explain?

Queen of Ice and Snow: I recall that her world shattered, and she got sent to He Who Knows Fate’s world. And He Who Knows Fate received the Absolute Precognition as payment for taking care of her, right?

Solomon: That is too lucky, right?

He Who Knows Fate: Oh, right! I recall now. The customer service said Ryougi Shiki’s world consciousness came with her and is sleeping in her body. That is to say…

Solomon: Damn! Our world’s world consciousness sneaked off to another world to have fun, and that world is yours? That’s why Alaya and Gaia became the substitute world consciousnesses? That resulted in Gaia playing a trick and forcing Alaya to issue the mission…

He Who Knows Fate: This… He Who Knows Fate does not accept blame for this. I won’t accept the blame for this, either.

Queen of Ice and Snow: This child has turned stupid. Just bury him.

He Who Knows Fate: Ahem! Ahem! Let’s change the topic! Another topic.

He Who Knows Fate: So, since Doctor Roman became a Dimension Administrators Association member, can we just gather everyone and beat up Demon God King Goetia? I can contribute a moon fall.

Solomon: A moon fall? That! Uh! He Who Knows Fate, don’t get too excited over saving humanity or anything like that. Just let Fujimaru Ritsuka do it. I’m not in a rush. Really! I’ll ask for your help if we cannot deal with it.

A moon fall? If you really brought the moon down, not to mention Demon God King Goetia, it would annihilate Earth. Life is meant to be difficult. Why do you have to take such a shortcut?

He Who Knows Fate: Honestly speaking, I’m very bored now.

Kal’tsit: Go complete a mission, then.

Faillen Angel Gabriel: Hey! Isn’t that Kal’tsit? It’s rare to see Kal’tsit speak.

Kal’tsit: It’s because I have to manage the company. I’m usually very busy and only glance in occasionally.

Blank Never Loses: That’s why I say Kal’tsit must be a leader who has to manage many things.

Kal’tsit: I’m not the company’s leader. It’s just that the company’s leader is not mature enough yet, so I’m assisting her.

He Who Knows Fate: That’s why you were called Queen of Rhodes Island when you joined the group? Your company is Rhodes Island, right?

Kal’tsit: …Yes.

Blank Never Loses: That’s already very incredible. A shut-in like me only knows how to play games.

Faillen Angel Gabriel: No, no, no! Boss, you are too humble. How are you playing? Even if you went professional, you would carry everyone.

Efreet: Going by my standards, Sora has already reached the peak of life. You could get an angel to call you boss.

Blank Never Loses: …It is purely just her being lousy. To her, many people would be bosses. I’m just the most incredible one.

Kal’tsit: Does anyone have spare points?

17-Year-Old Beautiful Young Lady: You asked the right person. If you need to borrow points, look for He Who Knows Fate.

He Who Knows Fate: Ah! This… Although I do not need my points at the moment, the way you say it feels strange. You make it sound like I’m an ATM.

Kal’tsit: How much can you lend out?

He Who Knows Fate: How much do you need?

Kal’tsit: 100,000.

He Who Knows Fate: How…how much again?

Kal’tsit: You don’t have that much? 1,000 will work too.

He Who Knows Fate: The difference is too big, right? I do have 1,000. However, it would take the points of everyone in the group to reach 100,000 points. The Dimension Administrators Association is only a few days old, after all.

Do take note of a change in terms. I previously messed up by translating two Chinese terms to the same word. This word is reincarnator. Now, it is separated into re:lifers and reincarnators. The affected chapters are book 1 chapter 1, 6, 7, and 0. For easy reference, the only reincarnator we saw so far was the one who escaped from the Host God Space, mentioned in chapter 2 and the end of the 1st Singularity arc. I have gone back and retroactively changed the terms. So if you have already seen the re:life term, just ignore this message.

Here is the translation note I added to book 1 chapter 2 to explain the difference:

[TL Note: There is a difference between reincarnators and re:lifers. The Chinese word for reincarnators translates to “cycle person.” In Chinese, cycle in such usage most commonly refers to the cycle of reincarnation. So far, the reincarnators we have seen in the story came from the Host God Space, but I’m unsure of further details on the Host God Space. Based on other novels, the Host God Space might be something like a terror infinite genre, where people are thrown into scenarios and are given assistance—something like a system—to help them grow. The purpose seems to be the Host Gods’ entertainment. Based on the understanding of the Chinese word, a reincarnator should be a person who had died and was reborn in another life but kept their memories of their previous life. A re:lifer is someone who leaped through time and returned to their younger self, getting to redo their life.]
