Book 6: Chapter 39:2: Fu Hua Teaching with Her Fist Technique, Part 2

Time Witch: Surprisingly, after I reset time, none of the beings from the immortal realm or the divine realm sought me out or followed the traces I left behind. I always thought they’d sense something amiss.

Time Witch: On second thought, it must’ve been our ancestor’s doing. Before he showed up, I occasionally felt uneasy. However, that feeling disappeared after he came.

Coasting Through Life: Wait, what do you mean by “our ancestor”?

Time Witch: Our ancestor has paid the bride price. What do you think?

Coasting Through Life: Hold up, bride price? What’s that about?

Time Witch: Of course, it’s the Primal Chaos Bell.

He Who Knows Fate: Ahem. Let’s not digress. Besides, Ancestor never mentioned that the Primal Chaos Bell was a bride price.

Time Witch: It’s close enough. The Primal Chaos Bell can revert a world to primal chaos. It’s worthy of being a bride price. Of course, I currently can’t reach such a level.

[TL Note: Primal chaos is a concept from Chinese creation mythology. Before the world was formed, the universe was made up of primal chaos. Then a mythological being split the primal chaos into two extremes—Yin and Yang—thus forming the world.]

He Who Knows Fate: …I want it. I really do.

Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki [Root]: If you have questions, just ask. After all, I’m a world consciousness. At the very least, I’m familiar with the affairs of Chen Heng’s world. I have that level of authorization.

He Who Knows Fate: Root, are you really this impressive? You are just a visiting world consciousness.

Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki [Root]: Don’t underestimate me! By seniority, I’m among the oldest of world consciousnesses. Newborn consciousnesses like the one from your world have to show me some respect.

He Who Knows Fate: No wonder Customer Service once called you an old witch.

Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki [Root]: What?! That brat dared to insult me? Is she tired of living? I must have been dormant for too long; perhaps it’s time I took action.

Customer Service: It wasn’t me! I did not! Don’t listen to Chen Heng’s nonsense.

17-Year-Old Beautiful Young Lady: Ah! Looks like this pulled Customer Service out.

Blank Never Loses: Root, you’re epic! (His voice broke)

Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki [Root]: It’s not for you to decide whether or not I am.

Customer Service: Senior, you can’t act like this! The current Multidimensional World Consciousness Conference has rules. You can’t just ignore them! Also, I never said that.

Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki [Root]: I’ll find out soon whether or not you said it. Give me a minute; I’m coming for you. And rules? Since when did I—Root—ever follow rules when fighting others?

Customer Service: Chen Heng, I hate you! Senior, can you go easy on me? I really am sorry.

Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki [Root]: Realizing your mistake now? It’s too late.

He Who Knows Fate: …Did I say something wrong?

Queen of Ice and Snow: Not at all. You were spot-on. Well done.

Efreet: Never thought I’d see the day when the arrogant Customer Service would be brought down.

Faillen Angel Gabriel: Unbelievable.

Blank Never Loses: Absolutely crazy!

I Have a Strong Presence: Once again, I’m reminded that Root is truly a world consciousness.

King Wolffy: Sounds like Root’s seniority is quite high.

God Sai: Who would’ve guessed? Root didn’t seem that powerful in front of the Chen Clan’s ancestor. Perhaps it’s because the transcender was too formidable.

Chen Heng originally planned to ask Root some questions. However, seeing how Root seemed occupied, he decided not to disturb her. Instead, he focused on his practice, hoping to hone all his sword conceptions into Will Energy swords before entering Jixia Academy.

Thanks to Customer Service’s interference, he no longer faced Sirin’s persistent questioning. That was a well-used diversion.

On a side note, he remembered that the 2,000 points for taking care of Sirin hadn’t been credited to his account yet. Would he really have to wait a month?

------

The next morning, before six, Chen Heng’s master, Fu Hua, woke him up before his biological clock did. She insisted it was for training, but she simply wanted to beat him up.

“Starting today, Little Heng, you’ll step up your Void Sword’s sword conception and fist technique training. I’ll guide you personally.”

Fu Hua yanked Chen Heng out of bed and dragged him to the basement. After learning how to control space, he had used his spatial ability to increase the basement’s space to multiple times the original. This made the basement extremely large. Furthermore, to help himself better reach a state of harmony with the world, he had spent one point to decorate the basement.

Besides living creatures, the basement was now like a scene out of a garden in the immortal realm. There were grass, flowers, and trees.

Don’t say a word more. Such decorations did indeed help Chen Heng with his sword practice to a certain degree.

“Master, if you’re still mad about yesterday, just say so. No need to beat around the bush.”

Armed with the Absolute Precognition, Chen Heng was no fool. He sensed something from Fu Hua’s earlier statement, so he checked.

“Ahem! Ahem! Little Heng, you might have misunderstood me. Why would Master bother with such trivial matters? What else do you want to say? If there’s nothing, are you ready to start your fist technique training?”

“Why fist techniques first and not sword techniques?” Chen Heng queried in an attempt to divert the impending lesson. After all, he already knew why Fu Hua wanted to teach him fist techniques.

“No need to concern yourself with why. There’re no other questions, right? If not, let’s begin.”

“Hold on, Master! I have a single request.” Chen Heng raised his hand, indicating he still had a question.

“Speak.”

“Master, can you wear the Azure Empyrea costume? Or perhaps the Azure Sparrow costume? If not, even the red cheongsam would do—ideally, the Cerulean Court costume.” Chen Heng did not care about the fist technique. Good looks were more important.

[TL Note: Azure Sparrow is one of the costumes for the Valkyrie Accipiter. “…” Fu Hua was momentarily baffled. Despite her confusion, she did a quick search in the cultural section and then remained silent.

“Master, what do you think of my suggestion?”

“Very well, Little Heng. If you have no other concerns, let’s begin…”

“Hold on! Master, you haven’t really addressed my request. And—wait-wait-wait—stay back!”

“For beginners in fist techniques, the quickest way to learn is through firsthand experience. The best method is for your body to personally experience the fist technique…”

“Ah! No! Master, I know some fist techniques! Really. No matter what, I’m a martial artist, after all. Master, you-you…what do you want?!” Noticing Fu Hua getting closer, Chen Heng started to panic.

“The best, simplest, and most direct way to understand fist techniques is to get beaten up. So…”

In purely fist techniques or sword techniques, Chen Heng could not beat Fu Hua. If he used his abilities, Fu Hua could counter them with her ring. Thus, even though he wanted to flee, he could not.
