Book 6: Chapter 18:1: A Discussion on the Power of Luo Li’s Time Ability, Part 1

Without joining the Dimension Administrators Association, I never would have acquired the visualization technique. Without that, I couldn’t have visualized my ancestor. Who knows when my ancestor would think of returning home to check if I had not done that? Perhaps my bones would have already been reduced to ashes by then.

Luo Li should be destined for a brighter future. With her control over time and the system’s assistance, even if she couldn’t become a transcender, she should have been able to rise to a position of unprecedented power.

Chen Heng didn’t believe that detonating the time crystal caused her no harm or fundamental damage. Otherwise, she could infinitely reset without consequences; how buggy would that be? However, Luo Li never spoke of the matter.

Luo Li said nothing. Instead, she walked over to Chen Heng and slowly entered his embrace, showing a comforted expression.

“Elder Brother Heng, it’s not fair for you to think this way. Think about it from another perspective. If you hadn’t saved me before the reset, or if you had saved me but hadn’t revived my nearly dead heart with your clumsy caregiving, what would I be like now? Perhaps no different from a walking corpse.”

“…”

“Karma is a set of cause and effect. An effect happens because of a cause. Without Elder Brother saving me, there would be no me saving Elder Brother. So if someone is to say thanks, it should be me thanking you.”

“…”

“What’s wrong, Elder Brother? Why are you so silent?” Luo Li initially thought Chen Heng would say something. However, he remained silent even after a while, so she looked up at him, only to find him deep in thought.

“I was wondering, was I really that clumsy when taking care of you?”

Pfft! “Elder Brother, is that all you were thinking about?” Luo Li couldn’t help but laugh at Chen Heng’s response before quickly resuming her previous expression.

“Luo Li, you know, your smile is beautiful.” Though Luo Li’s smile was fleeting, Chen Heng saw it as he had kept his eyes on her.

To be honest, Luo Li truly looks beautiful when she smiles at me.

“Elder Brother, you’ve become much better at giving compliments.”

“Really? I didn’t know that.”

“Of course it’s true. You used to be so bad at taking care of people and giving compliments. When I completed the Special Affairs Bureau’s missions and looked to you for praise, you’d just pat my head instead of complimenting me. Don’t you know that patting a girl’s head has a special meaning? And actually, it’s not even comfortable for the girl. Only a virgin would think patting a girl’s head is a reward; you are the only one who would feel good.” Luo Li released her hold on Chen Heng’s waist, moved ten centimeters back, and raised her head to look at Chen Heng.

“…” Chen Heng truly had not known that.

“Little Li, you’ve changed. You don’t pamper me like before. You’ve hurt my heart,” Chen Heng said, feigning sadness.

“Should Younger Sister compensate you, Elder Brother? Any way you want!” Luo Li playfully licked her lips as she spoke.

“…I’ll comfort myself; that’s enough. I won’t trouble you, Little Li.” Chen Heng backed down shamefully.

“Little Li, your personality doesn’t match what I saw through the Absolute Precognition.”

Chen Heng’s vision of Luo Li was of a detached individual who spoke little and couldn’t tease him as she was doing now.

Of course, he knew that Luo Li had some yandere traits after her re:life, but he found they didn’t clash with her detached persona.

“People change. After your death, I lived alone for a long time. During those long years, I worked hard to earn points to strengthen my time ability. As I did so, I pondered what I’d need to do if I truly went back to the past.”

While speaking, Luo Li began leading Chen Heng to the bed. He followed her obediently, and when they reached the bed, she sat down and patted her lap invitingly.

She was wearing a white sailor suit, along with white knee-high socks. The dazzling creamy skin between her socks and skirt had repeatedly caught Chen Heng’s eye ever since it appeared; he simply could not help himself.

Perhaps Luo Li had noticed his reaction, for she seemed ready to give him a lap pillow.

Gazing at the bright white of Luo Li’s creamy skin and the matching knee-high socks, Chen Heng felt entranced.

“Come on, Elder Brother. I prepared this outfit just for you. Aren’t you going to try it?” Luo Li patted her lap once more.

This time, Chen Heng did not refuse. After a moment of hesitation, he came to the bedside, took off his shoes, and laid his head on Luo Li’s thighs.

So soft and warm…

“Luo Li, your outfit…”

“Does it suit your taste, Brother? I picked it especially for you. It aligns with your fetishes, doesn’t it?”

“…” For some reason, Luo Li’s words make me feel like a pervert. Am I just imagining it?

But then again, what was wrong with a man being a little perverted?

“Alright, alright, back to the point. After a long analysis and heavy computation by the system, I came to a conclusion. Simply having a detached attribute won’t help me win over men, so I decided to change.”

“…” That’s all?

A smart person like you—Luo Li—thought for so long and even had the help of the system, only to come to this conclusion? Also, isn’t it a bit inappropriate? Besides, which detached person admits to being detached?
