Book 6: Chapter 13:2: Time Witch—Luo Li, Part 2

Tohsaka Rin glanced at the prefix tag of “Time Witch” Luo Li in the Re:Life Chat Group. It was colored black-red. Excellent, this reinforcement is extremely powerful. I’m certain now; this is someone I cannot offend.

The prefix tag colors were a feature of the Re:Life Chat Group, designed to prevent newcomers from unwittingly provoking the powerhouses.

The prefix tag color was relative to the members; every member saw different colors for any particular member. This was decided based on the member’s strength relative to the other member.

The black-red color was a red so dark that it looked close to black. This indicated that this person was someone she should avoid provoking.

Time Witch wasn’t very active in the chat group, only occasionally saying a few words. Tohsaka Rin didn’t know why she was willing to help, but that didn’t stop her from seeking Time Witch’s aid. After all, it was highly unlikely for an enemy to come to her aid.

Regarding Time Witch’s strength, they had discussed it within the Re:Life Chat Group. This included conversations with Aizen, who had said his tag for Time Witch was red, signifying a dangerous figure.

No one in the group had seen Time Witch’s actual appearance, and even the name Luo Li was known only because another group member had mentioned it.

Those two seemed to be from the same world, and both had re:lived simultaneously, a unique case in the Re:Life Chat Group.

“Good! Good! Knowing and correcting your mistakes is indeed a virtue.”

Chen Heng’s look made Tohsaka Rin very uncomfortable because it felt like an adult looking at a child. While Tohsaka Rin’s current body was indeed young, she wasn’t pleased with his gaze.

You bastard, just you wait. I’ll have you bowing before me. Tohsaka Rin glared at Chen Heng.

“What’s wrong? That look in your eyes…is that defiance?” Chen Heng crossed his arms and looked back at Tohsaka Rin.

“Of course not! How can an ordinary child like me stand up to a Heroic Spirit like you? Discretion is the better part of valor, right?”

“I truly have not seen a child who can fling powerful Jewel Magecraft at me as soon as we meet. However, you’re right; you can’t defeat me. Don’t worry, though. My Master didn’t send me here to threaten Tohsaka Tokiomi with you.”

“Oh? Then what do you want?” This was a new revelation for Tohsaka Rin. If a Servant wasn’t there to kidnap her as a bargaining chip against her father, then what was their purpose? Could it be her they were targeting? It seemed unlikely, given she was just a child. There wouldn’t be any Master with twisted thoughts, right?

That was besides Ryuunosuke and Bluebeard. Those two were utterly twisted.

“Truth be told, my Master is intrigued by how you swayed your father’s thinking. He learned through his investigations that your father initially intended to adopt your younger sister into the Matou family. However, for some reason, he changed his mind and decided to adopt her into your grandmother’s family instead—a peculiar shift in his intentions.”

Eek! Tohsaka Rin broke into a cold sweat as Chen Heng’s words rang in her ears. She hadn’t expected anyone to notice these details—she’d tried her best to conceal them. Nevertheless, she didn’t regret her actions. What older sister wouldn’t want to protect her younger sibling?

“Want to know how my Master got this info? Ever heard of Mystic Eyes, also known as the Absolute Precognition? That’s my unique ability. Once I confirmed Tohsaka Tokiomi is a Master, I began a thorough investigation.” Chen Heng had anticipated Tohsaka Rin’s question with his Absolute Precognition and answered it in advance.

“The Absolute Precognition!” Tohsaka Rin had traveled back in time, from ten years into the future, with her memory intact. She knew exactly what the Absolute Precognition signified.

Furthermore, she’d seen plenty of anime about the Type-Moon worlds, shared by members of the Re:Life Chat Group. The Absolute Precognition had left a profound impression on her.

Tohsaka Rin had initially planned to visit the Mother of Mifune to see if such a person existed in her world. However, her young age made travel difficult, so she hadn’t achieved this goal.

“Wondering how my Absolute Precognition can see the past?” Chen Heng read Tohsaka Rin’s mind again.

This was indeed one of the questions puzzling Tohsaka Rin. According to what she’d learned from The Garden of Sinners and her understanding of the Absolute Precognition, this ability wasn’t supposed to see the past. However, it might be that the Magecraft world’s knowledge of these Mystic Eyes was insufficient.

Tohsaka Rin was under immense pressure, grappling with an enemy who could see into the future. Moreover, she was uncertain if he could foresee her reinforcements arriving through the Re:Life Chat Group with his Absolute Precognition. Surely not, right? The all-powerful chat group couldn’t be seen by a mere Servant, could it?

Her nerves calmed as she considered her upcoming aid.

Regardless of the identity of this Heroic Spirit before her, Tohsaka Rin held firm confidence in Time Witch. The power of a Servant summoned by the Holy Grail War paled in comparison to the original entities from the Throne of Heroes, merely ten percent or even less of the original’s strength. With another powerful ally’s help, Tohsaka Rin believed she could eliminate this enemy before her.

Twenty, 19, 18… Tohsaka Rin mentally counted down the seconds to Time Witch’s arrival in her world.

“Seventeen, 16, 15…” Chen Heng started counting down unexpectedly. The synchronization of his count with Time Witch’s impending arrival had Tohsaka Rin’s eyes widening in terror.

“Surprised?” Chen Heng noted Tohsaka Rin’s fear.

Not only was Tohsaka Rin filled with dread, but the members watching her livestream in the Re:Life Chat Group were also taken aback. They’d never seen a Heroic Spirit from this world anticipate an ally’s arrival via the chat group.

“It can’t be, right? Surely you didn’t think that having a little secret would give you the run of the place? Who doesn’t have secrets? Don’t think yourself to be the main character, little lady.”

Chen Heng stepped closer to Tohsaka Rin. He covered the four-meter distance in seven steps. Each step coincided with her heartbeats, applying enormous pressure on her.
