Book 6: Chapter 6:1: Reincarnators as Extras, Part 1

“Don’t say that. We’re talking about a Heroic Spirit here, a notable figure from human history.” Doctor Roman tried to persuade Chen Heng.

“No way. These aren’t the actual Heroic Spirits, merely their clones. Do you think the Heroic Spirits can fight as well as I can?” Chen Heng flexed his biceps to illustrate his point.

“Erm…but these female Servants are quite pleasing to the eye.” Doctor Roman attempted to sway Chen Heng, desperate to avoid performing the summoning himself.

“Do you really think I’m such a person? I misjudged you, Doctor Roman.” Chen Heng shot a glance at Sirin in his arms, their eyes meeting before Chen Heng looked away guiltily.

Whether Chen Heng’s claim held any truth was uncertain to Doctor Roman, but he knew he could no longer dodge the responsibility of summoning.

Seeing Doctor Roman’s indecision, Chen Heng messaged Skadi using the Dimension Administrators Association’s private chat. In no time, Skadi approved Chen Heng’s idea.

“Doctor Roman, you can ask Skadi for a holy relic. Since we’re in a Type-Moon world, we can even summon her if she’s up for it. Could be fun to gather here,” suggested Chen Heng after confirming the plan with Skadi.

“Sounds like a great idea,” Doctor Roman responded, warming up to Chen Heng’s suggestion.

Solomon: Skadi, are you interested in joining us in the Fourth Holy Grail War? It’s our association’s first team mission. We could have a gathering.

Queen of Ice and Snow: Sure. What do I need to do?

Solomon: Just send me something I can use as a holy relic.

Queen of Ice and Snow: Alright, one moment.

Shortly after, Doctor Roman received a red packet from Skadi containing a teardrop-shaped red gemstone.

For some reason, the gem seemed familiar to Doctor Roman, but he couldn’t quite place it. After all, there were countless gemstones in the world. Perhaps he might have seen it in passing previously. Furthermore, all gemstones looked alike to him.

“Doctor Roman, did you get the holy relic from Skadi?” Chen Heng asked.

“Yes, I’ve got it.”

“Then let’s do this. We already have a ready-made summoning ritual.” Chen Heng pointed at the summoning ritual Yakumo Yukari had used. This truly lived up to a summoning ritual she splurged on. Despite being a one-time-use ritual, it could be fixed and reused for summoning Servants. It just wouldn’t have any unusual effects anymore.

“However, Yakumo Yukari has already summoned a Heroic Spirit once. The commotion might alert other Magi or Masters, or even the reincarnators. After all, she used a Holy Grail to summon Merlin. This place isn’t safe.”

Although Doctor Roman had no Magic Circuits and could not practice Magecraft, he used to be the King of Magecraft and knew a thing or two. Indeed, such vast mana would easily catch the attention of those Magi.

“No worries. While I’m not invincible, I can at least keep those troublemakers at bay. Let me say this first: I don’t know how to set up any summoning ritual, and we don’t have the materials. If we miss this chance, we might not get another. Besides, we have a ready-made summoning ritual right here. What’s there to hesitate about?” Chen Heng assured him.

“Well, okay, then,” Doctor Roman agreed reluctantly, trusting Chen Heng’s judgment in combat matters. Furthermore, Chen Heng’s words made sense.

Doctor Roman then set about fixing Yakumo Yukari’s summoning ritual, as it could not be reused immediately.

Fuyuki City Hyatt Hotel:

There were four people inside a hotel room: three men and one woman. Their appearances were ordinary, not standing out from the average person except for the sci-fi-looking sniper rifle flickering with red light in one of the men’s hands, which revealed they were not of this time.

Based on their current status, they were reincarnators holding a meeting.

“So, it’s the Fourth Holy Grail War. It seems our captain chose a great time to arrive. I bet it wasn’t cheap,” a muscular man sitting on a chair said to a blond youth hugging the only woman in their team.

This muscular man was about 1.6 meters tall while seated, and his biceps were thicker than most people’s thighs.

The blond man, referred to as the captain and hugging the woman, looked very handsome with shoulder-length hair but had a cold aura about him.

“What nonsense! It took a precious artifact just to choose this world, not to mention a 20-percent reduction in benefits. You guys need to step up this time around, or else the profits won’t make up for the loss. The best part of this is that we’re the only four here. No worries about other reincarnators meddling in our plans,” the blond captain countered as he caressed the woman’s face.

“Yes, yes, yes. The captain has worked hard. How about I give you some compensation tonight?” The captivating and seductive woman in the captain’s tight embrace pressed herself against his body. Her hands caressed his chest. Although her attire wasn’t revealing, she exuded a powerful allure and a seductive charm.

“You seductive little enchantress. Giving you the succubus bloodline hasn’t gone to waste. Wait until tonight; then you’ll understand the true authority of a captain. But for now, we have important matters to attend to.”

Although the captain was lecherous, he did not let his lust get to his head. This was not the time to relax.

“Captain, because of our unexpected addition and the item you inserted into the Holy Grail earlier, this war has turned into a seven-on-seven, fourteen-person Holy Grail War. We should be ready for significant changes in the plot.” The man in the corner joined the discussion while wiping his beloved gun.

“Monkey, can you stop polishing your gun so obsessively? You’ve already done it three times in the past hour. In my opinion, if your gun is so valuable, it’s unlikely to malfunction easily. Why be so obsessive about it?”

“Muscles, you don’t understand. The more expensive the gun, the more you should take care of it. What if it fails you during actual battle? If this gun deviates by just a centimeter, it might fail to kill. I’m not worried, but you’re the one at the frontline.”

“Alright, alright, I won’t argue with you. Take your time polishing your gun.” The muscular man, addressed as Muscles by the sniper, waved his hand, signaling for Monkey to continue his gun maintenance.

“You’d better work hard. The items that I used to choose the world and purify the Holy Grail were not cheap. And remember: don’t underestimate the natives of this world. These seven Servants are not to be taken lightly,” the blond man warned everyone present.

“Got it.”
