Book 5: Chapter 32:1: Honkai God, Write Me an IOU, Part 1

“Alright, alright. Settle down. Listen to me. Elder Brother will bring you to get something good. Welt, let’s part here, then. Your good ally Siegfried should be arriving in another three minutes. Bye!”

Chen Heng waved his hand, placing the exhausted Welt on the snowfield; he even provided Welt with a cushion. Then he vanished with Sirin and her Bella dragon.

Siegfried arrived three minutes later and saw Welt lying on a cushion.

“You arrived pretty late. You took so long to arrive; even the battle has ended,” Welt mocked the panting Siegfried while struggling to sit up.

“Don’t mind the details. I’m here now, right?”

------

After vanishing, Chen Heng brought Sirin to the back of the moon. He had previously used his Precognition and seen himself simply watching without doing anything. That resulted in Sirin suffering severe injuries. Then Bella brought her to this place.

Of course, that was just one of the possible futures. It was not that Chen Heng had truly stood by idly.

This was merely a possible future Chen Heng had seen when he searched, using his noninterference as the parameter. He could achieve this after awakening his Absolute Precognition twice.

Chen Heng used his spatial jump to reach the back of the moon from Siberia in one go, no need for layovers.

The two humans and one dragon stood quietly above the back of the moon, looking at a massive, dilapidated palace below.

Although the moon was a vacuum environment, Sirin did not need a spacesuit as a Herrscher. As a Honkai Beast, the Bella dragon did not even need to breathe. As for Chen Heng, there was no need to worry; he could rely on the Spiritual Energy in his body to survive.

“Elder Brother, this is?”

“This is your opportunity to become a five-core Herrscher. Let’s go.” Chen Heng took the lead in approaching that palace. Sirin followed behind, riding on the Bella dragon’s head.

There was an open-air altar at the center of this dilapidated palace. This altar had an irregular cylindrical pillar surrounded by many stone pillars.

“Elder Brother, that God speaking to me in my mind has been telling me to touch that irregular golden pillar ever since we got here.”

“Then go touch it. What are you afraid of?”

“Erm…Elder Brother, aren’t you worried for me even just a bit?” Sirin looked at Chen Heng with a moue of dissatisfaction.

“Stop saying foolish things. If I don’t worry about you, who will I worry about? However, I have absolute faith in the Mental Defense Ring you are wearing. Never mind, never mind. How about we touch it together and see what happens?” Of course, Chen Heng knew what would happen. However, he held Sirin’s hand as they headed for that irregular pillar to give her some confidence.

When Sirin touched that irregular pillar, white light flashed. Then Chen Heng and Sirin found themselves standing in a blank, white space with a stone throne.

A little white figure sat on that throne in an arrogant posture.

That’s right, a little white figure similar to the Criminal in Detective Conan. It did not have any male or female characteristics, just a different color.

[TL Note: The Criminal in Detective Conan is not a specific character but a substitute image for the culprit of a case to hide their true identity. Here is more information on it: /wiki/%22The_Criminal%22.]

Because of the Mental Defense Ring, Sirin felt nothing. However, it was different for Chen Heng. Although his willpower was extremely resilient, it was not to the extent that he could completely ignore the Honkai God.

Chen Heng could clearly feel the might of this little white figure; it felt like he faced the supreme truth, an extremely mystical feeling.

Chen Heng understood that the little white figure before him was not some minor deity out of Japan’s 8,000,000 deities. It was the Honkai Impact 3rd’s omnipotent god in person.

However, Chen Heng was utterly fearless.

“Elder Brother, it is God. Its voice has been ringing in my ears ever since I came out of the giant egg.”

“Hey! Isn’t that sexual harassment?” Chen Heng looked in shock at Sirin and the little white figure on the throne.

“…A female voice! It’s a female voice!” Sirin clenched her tiny fists and vigorously pounded them on Chen Heng.

“Oh? Is that the case? Then…Little White Figure, can you speak?”

Chen Heng did not show the reverence ordinary people had for God. After all, he even dared to make the newborn world consciousness call him father.

He even dared to mess with a world consciousness, what more a God? However, he likely could not defeat this God, as he did not know where to start; this made things tricky.

Nevertheless, this little white figure let Chen Heng enter this space, so he was in no danger for now.

Furthermore, even if there was danger, he feared nothing. You want to attack me? Well, go on and try. If I retaliate, I’ll be your grandson.

Of course, if a certain necklace’s automatic counterattack activates? You can’t blame me.

“You. Are you interested in becoming a Herrscher? I think highly of you.” Sirin’s voice reverberated in the white space. However, Chen Heng noticed she did not open her mouth while he looked at her.

Since it was not Sirin or Chen Heng, it had to be the little white figure. When he looked at the little white figure again, he saw the figure had taken on Sirin’s appearance. There were distinct facial features, although she did not have any color.

Chen Heng pondered this. This so-called Honkai God is even more half-hearted than the world consciousness.

When Chen Heng went sightseeing, he had brought the world consciousness along. Although its figure had turned increasingly immaterial, it still had color. The little-white-figure version of Sirin did not even have color, no different from a marble statue.

“Are you the Honkai God?”
