Book 5: Chapter 24:1: Sirin Starting to Puff Up, Part 1
After Sirin finished the sandwiches, Chen Heng explained the functions of the ring he had given her.
“Alright. I don’t mind keeping it on, but, Elder Brother, can’t you switch it to another finger?” Sirin really liked the exquisite ring on her index finger.
“Don’t even think about it. I’ll have you know it is impossible for you to remove the ring. You can try it if you don’t believe me.” Chen Heng patted Sirin’s head and gestured in invitation to try if she wanted.
“I’ll give it a try, then. I don’t believe I can’t remove it.” Sirin’s temper flared up. I am the Herrscher of the Void. How can I be unable to handle a small ring?
Sirin tried shifting her index finger into the void to remove the ring. However, she found that the ring remained on her even when her index finger entered the void.
Using brute force didn’t work, either. Chen Heng even provided scissors and pliers, but she found that these items did not do any damage to the ring.
“Elder Brother, Elder Brother, I really like this ring. However, can’t you shift it to another finger?” Since force did not work, Sirin resorted to a psychological attack.
“Acting spoiled is useless. Actually, you can shift it to another finger. How about the thumb?”
“Never mind, never mind. Won’t wearing a ring on the thumb make it a thumb ring instead? It would look strange. Let’s leave it like this first.” Sirin shook her head, rejecting the idea of wearing it on her thumb.
Sirin had already given up.
“Alright, alright. Now that you have eaten and completed your preparations, how about continuing to absorb Honkai Energy? We have a Honkai reactor above us.”
Chen Heng did not mind Sirin becoming the Herrscher of the Void. In reality, he hoped she could gain the strength to protect herself. Although Honkai Energy had adverse effects on the mind if one absorbed too much of it, he trusted the item his ancestor gave him.
Furthermore, once one joined the Dimension Administrators Association, even the world consciousness could not silently alter the mind and personality of an association member. It could be said that the Dimension Administrators Association provided immunity to mind control, practically a cheat.
After all, if a member got controlled, wouldn’t it be like their accounts being hacked? The association did not want such a thing to happen.
“Let’s wait for a while, then. We will wait until tonight before absorbing Honkai Energy. The newly arrived Valkyries are quite strong. Speaking of which, the Honkai reactor was already practically drained yesterday; it is empty now. Because she did not get a reply from Chen Heng, she raised her head to peek at him. Then she saw him extending his right hand towards her.
Sirin shrank her neck back, startled. However, she did not plan on avoiding him.
“Why would I blame you for this? Also, why are you shrinking your neck back? I won’t hit you. How could I bear to hit you?” Chen Heng did not plan on beating Sirin. Instead, he ruffled her hair, messing it up.
“Elder Brother, you really don’t mind?” Sirin probed.
“Why would I mind? Although I have no reason to attack those researchers, you are the victim. As such, you are entitled to take revenge on them. I understand the principle that one should not advise others to be virtuous without experiencing hardships themselves.”
“Alright. Elder Brother, can you hug me again for a while?”
“Of course.”

Midnight:
“Elder Brother, be careful. Don’t alert those Valkyries.” Sirin sneaked towards the Honkai reactor with Chen Heng.
“Don’t worry. Just relax. Your elder brother is quite powerful.”
“Elder Brother, you are boasting, right? You started cultivating even later than me, so you are not qualified to say this. To think you used your attraction ability to carry dishes. There’s no way it can be that powerful.” Sirin glanced at him skeptically.
“Alright, alright, alright. Then I’ll leave it to my precious younger sister to protect me.”
“Elder Brother, don’t worry. Now that I’m a Herrscher, I’m very powerful. As long as I can absorb sufficient Honkai Energy, I am omnipotent. I will protect you.”
“Alright, alright. Quickly absorb the Honkai Energy. Also, Sirin, do you remember what I told you about Silin’s Action?” Chen Heng noticed Sirin’s ego puffing up like a pufferfish and recalled something.

Sirin absorbed Honkai Energy as she spoke to Chen Heng.
Upon seeing Sirin’s forgetfulness, Chen Heng decided to let her experience a few setbacks. Otherwise, who knew when he could correct her habit of letting her ego inflate?
Chen Heng could protect Sirin from any mistakes she made in this world. However, when they returned to his world, he could not…actually, after some thought, he could do that there too.

“That’s enough, Miss Criminal and Mister Researcher.” A well-endowed woman suddenly appeared behind Chen Heng and Sirin.
Chen Heng had noticed this person long ago. However, he did not point her out so that Sirin could learn a lesson.
“You…”
“Sirin, you have to remember what Elder Brother is saying now. As a villain, you need to learn to cut down on bragging and evil monologues. Just go ahead and attack.”
Sirin was about to launch into an evil monologue, but Chen Heng stopped her. At the same time, he imparted some basic knowledge on how to be a successful villain.
“Oh! Got it, Elder Brother.” Sirin obeyed Chen Heng, directly attacking. She used her spatial ability to twist the space next to Patricia.
