Book 5: Chapter 23:1: Sirin: Do You Want to Lick My Feet? Part 1

“You make it sound like I don’t want to leave. The girls that could last until now had a certain level of Honkai adaptability. Do you think the researchers would let her leave? Use your tiny brain and think about it.” This time, Chen Heng crossed his hands and looked at Theresa disdainfully.

The person before Theresa seemed to view her as a fool. This frustrated her immensely, so she clutched the Oath of Judah. However, she recalled this person was not a Valkyrie, so she loosened her grip.

Theresa suddenly felt she could not handle this person, so she turned a pleading gaze to Patricia, behind her on the right, seeking help.

[TL Note: Here is Patricia’s profile: /wiki/Patricia_Highsmith.]

“Alright, alright. Chen Heng, right? Don’t you want to see your younger sister? Galina, bring him to his younger sister.” Patricia covered her face with her right hand. She had not expected the A-Ranked Valkyrie Theresa to lose to an ordinary person in presence.

[TL Note: I believe Galina does not exist in the Honkai universe. After extensive searching, I could not find any reference to the Chinese name in the game or comics.]

“Yes, Lady Patricia. Please come with me, Mister Chen Heng.” The third Valkyrie, who had come with Theresa and Patricia, opened the door and invited Chen Heng to leave with her.

“Oh! Thank you, Madam Theresa and this well-endowed lady. Also, please don’t mention what I said earlier in front of your grandfather, Miss Theresa. I’m afraid he might hold it against me. In other words, no tattling to parents.” Chen Heng nodded slightly to the shorty Theresa and Patricia as a gesture of gratitude.

“Of course, I won’t tattle.” Theresa waved her short arms in objection.

After Chen Heng left:

“Theresa, I don’t think this man is an ordinary researcher. Judging from how he walks and his breathing rhythm, he clearly has been trained.”

“Ah! Let me check his file.” Theresa opened a screen on her wrist and looked up Chen Heng’s personnel file. “Chen Heng, Chinese, Number 26, Fantasy Sea Villas, Vast Sea City. He shows extraordinary skill with lightning-type damage. Babylon Labs recruited him because of that, and he practiced some martial arts and sword fighting. However, he does not have any Honkai adaptability or Stigmata.”

“Practiced some martial arts and sword fighting?” Patricia watched Chen Heng’s figure disappear into the distance, pondering for a moment before dismissing the thought from her mind.

After all, in the Honkai world, males had lower statuses. They primarily selected females for Valkyries, and there were no male Valkyries. Moreover, males generally had lower adaptability to Honkai than their female counterparts.

Only a few men brought glory to their gender, people like Welt, Kevin, and Siegfried. Perhaps Raiden Ryoma counted too.

[TL Note: Here are the profiles for those not previously mentioned: Kevin: /wiki/KEVIN, Siegfried: /wiki/Siegfried_Kaslana, and Raiden Ryoma: /wiki/Raiden_Ryoma.]

Simply put, when considering the lower end of combat forces, males held an absolute disadvantage, having practically no presence. However, any male who became strong would usually become a powerhouse.

“Elder Brother, you are finally here!” A figure barreled into Chen Heng’s embrace like a cannonball.

What a girl! After becoming the Herrscher of the Void, Sirin crashing into me hurts.

“Yes, yes. I said before that I would definitely come for you.” Chen Heng held Sirin tightly and repeatedly patted her back with his left hand to console her.

When the Valkyrie who brought Sirin over saw this scene, she left self-consciously and even closed the door.

Their embrace continued for about five minutes before Sirin released Chen Heng. Upon close examination, he could clearly see from Sirin’s red eyes that she had been crying earlier.

After Chen Heng backed away a little, he noticed Sirin’s clothes looked no different from bedsheets draped over her. He quickly took out her favorite outfit, which was still warm, from his spatial storage. “Look, Sirin, I brought your clothes.”

“Thank you, Elder Brother. However, Elder Brother, you made me wait so long!” Sirin accepted her favorite clothes from Chen Heng’s hands.

“My precious younger sister, I did not delay intentionally. Actually, there is a difference between the flows of time of the two worlds. I rushed over to this world the moment I could.”

“I say, Elder Brother, are you not planning to turn around? Or do you want to watch me change?” Sirin waved the clothes in her hands.

“Then…Sirin, do you need me to go out?”

“There’s no need, Elder Brother. You can stay in the room. Just turn around and do not peek. Otherwise, I’ll kill without mercy!”

“Alright, alright, alright. Also, Sirin, who do you think your elder brother is? Why would I peek? If I want to, I will watch openly!” Chen Heng turned around as he spoke.

“You can’t watch openly, either!”

Sirin placed her purple clothes on the bed. Then she took off her bedsheet-like hospital gown.

From where Chen Heng stood, he could hear her clothes falling on the floor. This was a temptation to him.

Although Chen Heng saw Sirin as his younger sister, it did not change the fact that she was adorable. She might be 14 years old, but her height did not reflect that.

He Who Knows Fate: I’ve met up with Sirin already. The situation is fine as of now. It looks like she did not get influenced by the Will of Honkai much. I’ll give her a treasure to protect her mind later. It should be able to block the corrosion of the Will of Honkai.

Efreet: This treasure sounds quite expensive, right?

He Who Knows Fate: I don’t know if it is expensive. This is just one of the “small presents” my ancestor left me. However, I don’t know how valuable the things that my ancestor consider small presents are.

17-Year-Old Beautiful Young Lady: He is a transcender. Would his gifts to his juniors be inferior?

Flat-Chested Chinese: What is a transcender?

Iron Fist Teacher: Transcender describes an expert who can casually beat up a world. Only such a person would be worthy of such a title.

Flat-Chested Chinese: Beat up a world?

Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki: Your understanding of transcenders is too limited. Other transcenders aside, Chen Heng’s ancestor has destroyed a world with one sword strike before.

Kazuma the Brute: That cruel?

Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki: It’s not really cruel. It was mainly because that world suffered the invasion of a terrifying virus. That world was already utterly ruined; even the world consciousness had died. To prevent matters from blowing up, Chen Heng’s ancestor destroyed that world with one sword strike. That world was considered a high-grade world; the experts there could have single-handedly beaten the Herrschers of the Honkai Impact 3rd world.

Flat-Chested Chinese: Is there really someone that strong?

Magus of Flowers: You can completely trust this Self-Centered Elder Sister Shiki. She is a world consciousness, equal to the heavenly dao of Chinese legends. Do you understand if I put it that way? At the very least, her words hold great authority in this association.

Flat-Chested Chinese: Then should I celebrate that I did not reject He Who Knows Fate’s request to come to my world?

Umaru-chan: Don’t worry. Even if you rejected Chen Heng’s request to travel to your world, he is not so petty as to send his ancestor to destroy your world. Are you familiar with the Nine Alignments? Chen Heng would fall under Lawful Neutral.

[TL Note: The Nine Alignments is a 3x3 grid with permutations of Good, Neutral, and Evil and Lawful, Neutral, and Chaotic. Initially used in Dungeon & Dragons, this alignment system gained popularity, and its usage spread to many games. Here is its Wikipedia entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alignment_(Dungeons_%26_Dragons).]
