Their eyes felt like they were lying to them as the number of Extremity Meridians they could see had long since exceeded what any of them had managed to forge!
The average number amongst them was 7 as even this figure was pushed higher because Aurelia had forged 18 Extremity Meridians while Orion had formed 15!
Yet this being before them had already forged 27 as by the time they blinked again…

Another resounding boom echoed from his body as yet another 9 Meridians showed themselves.

Utter silence was all that could be heard along with the pulsing of glorious authority, 36 Extremity Meridians swirling within the Emperor Penguin's body as an instant later…its existence began to be drawn into these Meridians.

Almost always, existences had to choose a single concept that suited who they were the most in order to proceed with their Apexification successfully.
If they chose a concept they weren't truly compatible with or didn't truly define them, or if they chose multiple concepts that their Meridians could in no way handle…the fracture of their Meridians and possible death was all that waited for them!
So the Emperor Penguin looked deep into himself, and then made his choice rather quickly as the path was already laid out before him by his Master.

The Emperor Penguin instinctively felt that his Meridians could handle such a definition- that his Nine Natures Extremity Meridians were made in order for him to define himself in such a manner!
But…he wasn't done as he also sought to define himself with something he had since the day he was born as the First Spiritual Beast.

His 36 Meridians spun as a golden light blared forth.
His body began to disappear into glimmers of light that were absorbed into these Meridians.
His forged Origin flickered and was also absorbed into these Meridians!
His soul released waves of glory as it sank into the 36 Nine Natures Extremity Meridian- these multicolored pillars of venous light seeming like the only thing that remained of the Vitalistic Clone of Extremity.
The moment of life and death.
All of the past self was absorbed into the Meridians as nothing of the past life form remained.
If one was successful, the concept that defined them would be stable and wondrous enough to be the spark that initiated their path of an entirely different Lifeform.
