Chapter 13: Jun Mohuang’s Background Part 2

Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios

All the powerful family clans in Cangyuan Continent had their very own Totem Beast. Even till today, there was still some of the Totem Beast’s blood in the bloodline of such a family.

This sort of bloodline could give people special abilities. For instance, the Gold-Swallowing Beast bloodline of the Jun Family allowed them to summon the Gold-Swallowing Fire, which could be used to refine materials. The Su Family’s Phoenix Feather bloodline allowed them to summon the Red Phoenix Fire, which could help them with producing medicine. The Feng Family, on the other hand, had a Mythical Cloud Beast bloodline that allowed the creation of realms...

Each bloodline of the family clans was slightly different, but not every descendant would inherit that bloodline.

Jun Mohuang’s biological father, Jun Liyuan, was Jun Yangfeng’s third son. The Jun Family had a history of over 1,000 years, and the person with the purest and highest content of the Gold-Swallowing bloodline was also the most talented master of refining materials.

Jun Liyuan became a Nine-Star expert when he was just 18, becoming the first Nine-Star achiever in all of Huan Yun’s history. This allowed the Jun Family to become the greatest family clan in Huan Yun.

Jun Yangfeng wanted his son to marry a princess to further solidify their top standing in the city, but Jun Liyuan refused.

Jun Liyuan then went overseas to hone his skills, and a year later returned with a newborn girl. He claimed that he’d married a woman overseas, but his wife had since passed on due to labor complications. He had also said that he was not going to marry again in this lifetime.

Jun Mohuang very badly wanted a princess as his daughter-in-law, and was thus very unhappy with the situation. He could not bring himself to blame his favorite son, and thus directed all the blame and anger towards the young Jun Mohuang.

Things only got better when Jun Mohuang was found to be a Four-Star talent with the pure bloodline like her father. She became the top talent in Huan Yun.

After that, Jun Mohuang’s talent somehow “disappeared”, and so did her bloodline. Jun Liyuan went around trying to find a cure for his beloved daughter, and ended up being killed while on one of his trips in search of the medicine.

With Jun Liyuan’s death, the Jun Family lost a Nine-Star Expert overnight, and lost much of their overall power and authority. They went from being the top family clan to being out of even the top four.

They lost a beloved family member, and the family was in shambles. Jun Yangfeng blamed all of it on Jun Mohuang.

In Jun Yangfeng’s eyes, she was a jinx to the family. If she weren’t Jun Liyuan’s biological daughter, he would’ve chased her out long ago.

How could someone like him possibly serve justice for Jun Mohuang.

Jun Mohuang could already guess that Jun Yangfeng would take the opportunity to punish her instead.

But that was alright; she could deal with this on her own.

Su Zhijing wanted to ruin her image, so she’d give her an eye for an eye. Since Jun Moxue cared about her looks the most, she’d take that away from her.

But she was now hungry after busying herself for the whole day, and simply wasn’t in the mood to bicker with that old man. She’d fill her stomach and get a good sleep first before dealing with it tomorrow.

Jun Mohuang left Jun Moxue at the door of the Jun household like a pile of trash, and then left for the Mohuang Pavilion based on her memory. freewebnove l.com

She wasn’t popular in the Jun Family, so the Mohuang Pavilion was rather far away. The conditions weren’t that good, either, and the roof would leak when there was a storm. She needed to find a way to refurbish the place.

But no one told her what was going on with this huge and well-furnished building right before her now.

Jun Mohuang had to confirm that she hadn’t walked to the wrong place.

A petite figure came rushing out as she excitedly exclaimed, “Miss, you’re back!”

It was her only maid, Bai Mo.

“Granduncle is amazing. He got some people here, and they took just two hours to rebuild this place.

“But Miss is even more amazing. You just took one trip out and managed to find such a granduncle!”
