Chapter 221 - War Princess, Do You Fancy Human Blood?

Afterwards, the Forbidden Fate Demon Emperor summoned Supreme Marshal Du Ding of the Violet Sky, issuing a command to the Violet Sky Immortal Empire with an authoritative tone.

"This..." Du Ding hung his head, his face a tangle of conflict.

"What's the matter? Doesn't Violet Sky wish to be the co-ruler of the Divine Continent?" Forbidden Fate's voice, a chilling mix of demon tones, sneered.

Du Ding shook his head hastily, kneeling to respond, "We obey your command!" Upon receiving the order, he immediately returned to the ranks of the Violet Sky Immortal Army, leading his 10 million-strong force onward.

Even cultivators at the Immortal Meridian Realm had limited time to levitate using their magic power, so this massive Violet Sky army was aboard thousands of warships, each ship carrying around ten thousand soldiers.

As for the demons, they could condense demon clouds, binding all demons together in suspension, eliminating the need for warships. Whether on warships or demon clouds, a mishap at such high altitudes without enough magic power meant certain death!

WHOOSH! Du Ding ordered the thousand ships of the Violet Sky to change direction, but held off on splitting his forces.

"Supreme Marshal Du! The demons are carrying out a siege, yet they send us to the lower realms to play the villains. If we botch this, the entire human race of the Divine Continent could hate us. There might even be mutinies within Violet Sky!"

"The mighty Violet Sky Immortal Army, the number one army of the Divine Continent, not attacking the Heavenly Realm, but instead targeting defenseless civilians?"

Ironically, though they were in league with the demons, there was a sense of pride and superiority in their hearts as the kings of humanity.

The original plan was for the 100 million demon troops to lead the assault on the Heavenly Realm, with the Violet Sky Immortal Army supporting them, reaping benefits on the sly. Now, they were the main attackers! And tasked with committing atrocities against humanity.

The demons were instigating humans to slaughter their own kind! No matter the outcome, the Violet Sky Immortal Army's descent would be a historic tragedy for the human race of the Divine Continent.

Du Ding clenched his teeth in determination. Could he refuse the order? It seemed not. Violet Sky was now irreversibly tied to the Demon Continent. When Forbidden Fate bypassed the Violet Emperor to issue a direct command to him, it was clear they were seen as mere pawns, expendable at a whim.

But what choice did he have? This was the price of dancing with demons. The Demon Continent wasn't even pretending anymore in front of them.

Gazing down at the vast expanse of the Divine Continent, Du Ding felt a storm of frustration brewing inside. Grinding his teeth, he said, "This matter is of great importance. You must quickly inform the Violet Emperor in the Heavenly Realm. Let him decide. We'll slow our march and adapt as necessary."

"Understood!"

The 100 million demon troops sealed the entrances to the Heavenly Realm, surrounding but not attacking, their threat of decimating the city within ten days spreading fear throughout the Heavenly Realm.

Another psychological warfare tactic! For the soldiers and cultivators already resolved to die for their nation, this threat only cemented their resolve to fight to the death.

However, human nature was unpredictable. Under the pressure of demons, some took advantage of the chaos around the disappearance of the Primordial Array and the deactivated gates of the Heavenly Realm to flee. And, surprisingly, the demon troops let them go.

To stay and fight to the death or to flee for a chance at life? Every soul in the Heavenly Realm was caught in this struggle. Those who chose to flee were inherently pessimists. But those who stayed became only more determined, more resolute.

Such a strategy of psychological warfare was indeed effective for the Demon Continent, or else Moon Fairy's suggestion would not have been accepted by the Forbidden Fate Demon Emperor.

At this moment, the storm was at its fiercest! The entire Heavenly Realm was suffocating under the tension!

The dire news that Forbidden Fate had ordered the Violet Sky Immortal Army to attack the ninety-nine territories was spreading, fueling even greater despair.

Against this backdrop, a silver-haired youth quietly entered the Ancestral Temple. He found himself in a blood-soaked, eerie courtyard. From within, the sound of an argument was audible.

"I've been waiting here for half a day, and now you decide to besiege the city?" The voice belonged to the War Princess, and she was livid! It seemed that the Gu Emperor and Red Lotus were trying to calm her down, but to little avail.

The War Princess, with her dark red eyes, gave a disdainful glance at the two Demon Emperors and strode out of the courtyard. "I'm tired of this hassle. Ghost Life, return to the Endless Netherworld and bring a few more hands," she said coldly.

"Yes," one of the figures in black robes replied, vanishing in the blink of an eye from beside the War Princess.

She then proceeded with another cloaked figure in the direction of Moon Fairy.

"War Princess," Moon Fairy greeted respectfully, bowing.

The War Princess walked past, her stride releasing a fragrance like that of roses.

Moon Fairy, not particularly short, still only reached up to her chest.

"Do you fancy fresh human blood?" Moon Fairy suddenly asked.

The War Princess stopped in her tracks and turned to look at the silver-haired, demonically beautiful youth. Moon Fairy's innate charm was indeed attractive to any female. Silver hair, beast ears, a mystical air, a fox tail... He was like a lovable little pet, hard not to like.

"Kill him?" the remaining cloaked figure inquired of the War Princess.

In the Ancestral Temple, only the three Demon Emperors and the Violet Emperor were entitled to speak with them. For others, poking their nose into such private matters was indeed courting death.

The War Princess did not respond to the cloaked figure. Instead, her dark red, seductive eyes examined Moon Fairy as she said in a soft voice, "What is your identity?"

With utmost respect, Moon Fairy replied, "I am known as Moon Fairy, a disciple of the four Demon Emperors."

"A little fox." The War Princess chuckled, beckoning with a delicate hand, "Come here."

Moon Fairy, upon hearing the command, slowly approached the War Princess. It had to be said, the oppressive aura of this female devil was intense. Moon Fairy didn't dare look up, lest his gaze land somewhere inappropriate. Her tight black leather attire seemed on the verge of bursting.

"Damn. So that's what people mean by a devilish figure..." Yun Xiao mused in awe from a distance. Her proportions were monstrous, unimaginably spicy. Even Zhao Xuanran couldn't match this racial difference. After all, she wasn't human!

"Your true form," the War Princess commanded suddenly.

"My true form?" Moon Fairy hesitated for a moment before transforming into a snow-white, Three-Tailed Fox.

"Smaller," she demanded again.

Moon Fairy, with no other choice, morphed into a tiny fox. The next moment, the War Princess squatted down, cradling him in her arms, her eyes shining as she murmured, "Little thing, you really are adorable."

As she spoke, her jade-like hand caressed the small white fox.

".." Moon Fairy remained silent. Squeezed into her bosom, he was being treated like a pet. Between fox and devil, he was unsure who was enticing whom. His moon-white eyes gazed solemnly at the War Princess, her devilishly enchanting face, his expression miserable. A fox's misery looked particularly heartrending.

The War Princess had a soft spot for cute things, including girls, making the androgynous Moon Fairy especially endearing to her. This was unexpected for Yun Xiao. But, it made their task easier.

The War Princess, originally in a foul mood, now seemed considerably brighter. Cradling the Three-Tailed fox, she gently stroked his fur and asked in a soft voice, "Little fox, you mentioned fresh human blood?"

"Yes! I've been in the Heavenly Realm for quite some time and am quite familiar with it," Moon Fairy replied. He had gleaned some information about the War Princess after much probing with the Ape Saint and Burning Saint.

"Oh?" she raised an eyebrow.

Moon Fairy whispered, "I know of a place, an all girls school, where young maidens from noble families of the Immortal Empire attend. Now, with the war, they are all protected in an underground palace."

"Little girls?" Her eyes sparkled slightly.

"Yes," Moon Fairy nodded.

The War Princess chuckled softly, then looked down at the little fox in her arms, her tone suddenly turning chilling, "You, a mere beast, dare to specifically inquire about my preferences?"

Moon Fairy, feigning nervousness, hurriedly said, "The demon race is crude and chaotic, unfit for the limelight. I wish to serve the princess, swearing to follow her to the depths of the Endless Netherworld for training."

The War Princess, upon hearing this, laughed, her mood visibly lifting. "You're quite amusing, little fox," she said, pinching his face. His cuteness indeed scored points. Her previously sour mood turned surprisingly cheerful. "Alright, I'll give you a chance. But—"

Suddenly, she grabbed his throat, her voice cold, "Since you're my fox, if I ever find out you've betrayed or mocked me, your fate will be unimaginably miserable! I detest disloyal beasts the most!"

"I swear, my worthless life belongs to the princess!" the little fox said excitedly.

"Is that so? Then offer your blood first." The War Princess suddenly opened her mouth! Between her lips, two pairs of sharp teeth protruded. She lifted the Moon Fairy to her eyes and bit into his neck.

Moon Fairy's Divine Desolation Physique was very tough, but he ceased resisting, withdrawing his sacred power, allowing her to pierce his artery.

"Aghh..." Moon Fairy whimpered in fox-like yelp. The War Princess was actually drinking his blood! His fox-face wrinkled in natural pain, but he refrained from struggling. Internally, he cursed her a thousand times over! What a freak!

Fortunately, the War Princess didn't drink for long. Licking her lips with her long tongue, she said contentedly, "Demon blood usually stinks, but yours, little fox, is quite tolerable. It seems you were born to belong to me."

"I thank the War Princess for her grace," the little fox said weakly.

"Grace?" The War Princess seemed pleased by the compliment. In high spirits, she said, "Let's go then, to that all girls school you mentioned."

"Princess, should we not stay in the Ancestral Temple until reinforcements arrive?" one of the figures in black robes asked in a low voice.

"Hmm?" The War Princess shot him a cold glance.

"I apologize for overstepping." He quickly bowed his head.

"If you wish to stay, stay by yourself," she retorted.

"I dare not!" the cloaked figure said

Ignoring him further, the War Princess, cradling the little white fox, followed its guidance and quietly left the Ancestral Temple. They ventured into the region once protected by the Primordial Array. Here, they could see ranks of human soldiers in strict formation, ready for battle.

Clearly, they were prepared to use buildings, rivers, and tunnels as cover and foundations for guerrilla warfare against the demons—a war involving the entire populace.

"The human race, the most resilient, yet inherently the weakest," the War Princess mused with a chuckle. She harbored a distinct disdain for humans, a revulsion that seemingly surpassed even her dislike for demons. Only their blood appealed to her.

Moon Fairy sensed a completely different cultivation system within her, one rooted in the heart, arteries, and veins, similar to the Dantian and meridian system, but spreading throughout the body.

Devils represented the most balanced race! The power of blood sacrifice allowed them to have strong physical bodies, cast daoist spells, and wield magic treasures. In short, they practiced a dual cultivation of both human and demon arts.

"Put another way, their Daoist arts are inferior to humans, and their physical strength lesser than demons!" Moon Fairy mused.

If devils were actually superior to both humans and demons, there'd be no need for the other two races to exist. Still, it was said that within the same realm, devils were stronger than demons, who in turn were stronger than humans. Except, of course, for those human Sword Cultivators who went all out in their attacks. A Sword Cultivator, with their Sword Aura just right, could stab anyone to death.

Yun Xiao, having been up close and personal, had gotten a feel for the War Princess's strength. Her fiery, voluptuous body darted through the streets like a streak of blood, too fast for ordinary eyes to see.

"Where is it?" she mused, her obsession with the blood of children evident. Clearly, such fresh and delectable blood was rare in the Endless Netherworld. Her objective was quite clear. The demons wanted to exterminate humanity, but the devils surely didn't. They preferred to keep them as cattle for blood.

"We're almost there, War Princess," Moon Fairy said, leading them to a residence far from the Ancestral Temple, unbeknownst to the three Demon Emperors that the War Princess had already departed. Ahead lay a dilapidated palace.

"Here?" she asked, surprised.

"Just a laughable human trick. They're all hiding in an underground palace below," Moon Fairy said with a cold laugh.

"A whole race's fate about to be sacrificed to the heavens, what good is hiding?" The War Princess, her face impassive, stepped into the ruins.

"Yes," Moon Fairy agreed, his head bowed, eyes flashing with deep anger. Quickly, he hopped out of her arms and found a passage to the underground palace.

"Thousands of delicious human blood await you, War Princess," he gestured.

The War Princess extended her absurdly long, fragrant tongue, and a mist wafted from her mouth.

A fox and two devils swiftly descended the stairs of the underground palace, transforming into a blood-colored shadow as they entered! HUM! In the next instant, they appeared before a vast underground chamber. However, the chamber was in ruins, clearly long abandoned.

"Hmm?" The War Princess paused, her eyes narrowing as she looked down at the Moon Fairy, "Where are the children?"

"In the sky!" Moon Fairy pointed upwards.

BOOM! Suddenly, a massive shadow descended from above! It was an ancient bronze coffin lid! And beneath their feet, two ghostly blue eyes appeared on the ground. This wasn't the ground; it was the coffin's lid!

BAM! Just as the War Princess looked up, the body of the ancient bronze coffin slammed down onto the lid, sealing them inside with Moon Fairy, the War Princess, and the figure in black robes!

"Ghost Slayer!" The War Princess's expression shifted slightly. She summoned the black-robed figure named Ghost Slayer to appear instantly behind her, back to back. Their expressions were alert, icy, and furious!

"Little fox!" The War Princess's eyes blazed with cold blood fire, fixating on a small white fox not far away.

The fox, enveloped in a mist, transformed back into the demonically beautiful silver-haired youth, touching the fang puncture on his neck, his gaze icy as he looked at the War Princess.

And then, from the shadows behind the Moon Fairy, a youth in white emerged. The white-robed youth held a three-foot azure blade, with over 500 hundred layers of Sword Aura swirling around it!

"The human, Yun Xiao?!" The War Princess, unfamiliar with what happened in the War of Immortals in the Heavenly Realm, could never have imagined that these two figures on opposing sides would stand together.

"Are you planning to trap and kill me?" The thought didn't anger but amused her, "What bravery for two little boys?"

BUZZ! As the War Princess sneered, Moon Fairy suddenly transformed into a mist, merging into Yun Xiao. The two little boys suddenly became one!
