Chapter 199 - Worthy of the Sword!

In the Chen Heavenly Mansion, within a secret chamber beneath the ground of Dawn Pavilion's annex, Yun Xiao stood awestruck. Before him, treasures piled up like mountains!

To the left were pills and elixirs. Most of these were encased in jade bottles, still stained with blood. "Just these Nebula grade Wind Fire Tribulation Pills number over a million. They're easily worth hundreds of millions of Saint Stones!"

To the right lay Saint Stones, also blood-stained, their count reaching a staggering two hundred million. Piled together, they lit up the entire chamber like a crystal mountain, dazzling and magnificent. Even the blood mist swirling around couldn't diminish their allure.

Besides the pills and Saint Stones, the center was crammed with a plethora of magic treasures, armor, and cultivation resources of all sorts. You name it, it was there, from the bizarre to the wondrous, even the Imperial Seal, a Galaxy grade national treasure, had found its way into Yun Xiao's hands.

"Richer than nations! I've struck gold!" His total assets were now at least four to five hundred million Saint Stones.

"And with tomorrow's end to the War of Immortals, I'll rake in another hundred million from the Spirit Treasure Palace... What a thrill!"

The ordeal of the Sword Dao Monument might have been rough, but the payoff was huge. Both Yun Xiao and the Divine Dawn Immortal Empire had made a killing. The spirits of their ancestors could finally rest.

"I was planning to wait for the Spirit Treasure Palace's reward to strengthen these two frail bodies. No need to wait now!"

Once again, plans couldn't keep up with the twists of fate.

"It seems the very essence of the Creator Immortal lies in its ability to always surpass imagination..." Yun Xiao couldn't help but reflect. He casually tossed the bronze brick into the Saint Stone mountain. The bronze brick clicked open automatically, and its coffin-like maw, dark as an abyss, began to devour!

Humming and buzzing, the Saint Stones flowed like water, tumbling into the ancient bronze coffin with a crunching sound of being crushed.

As Red Moon feasted, the coffin grew, soon transforming into a cultivation chamber!

The eerie blue eyes on the coffin lid and the blood-red eyes on its body soon shone brighter than the sun itself, a testament to their nourishment.

"Eat, eat, eat, eat!" Red Moon cried. With a wide-open maw, the blood-stained Saint Stones levitated, forming a torrent that poured inside, increasing in efficiency.

"Thrilling! Absolutely thrilling!" Blue Star went from barely alive to bursting with life and vigor.

They didn't spare Yun Xiao a glance, their four eyes gleaming, fixated only on the Saint Stones.

Yun Xiao felt a wave of relief seeing them come to life. He was about to offer some words of praise, but his expression quickly fell. "Damn it, stop!" he exclaimed. Their eating pace accelerated, and in a wild turn, they flipped upside down, engulfing nearly two hundred million Saint Stones!

BUZZ! Yun Xiao, once richer than nations, was now as poor as a church mouse in an instant. "Gone?" He stared at the empty spot where the mountain of Saint Stones once stood, his face a picture of utter disarray.

"You know nothing, boy. The emptier it is, the more it needs to be filled," Blue Star chuckled.

"And what about me?" Yun Xiao shot back.

"Turns out having a safety net is more important. You keep training slowly; I'm taking off first!" Blue Star declared with an air of righteousness.

"Eat, eat, eat!" Red Moon, frantic with hunger, gobbled even more wildly.

BOOM! It then pounced on the nearby mountain of pills and elixirs! The abyss-like maw swallowed everything, pills and bottles alike, not sparing even a cap.

"Don't eat them all! I still need them to trigger the Wind Fire Tribulation!" Yun Xiao's vision darkened.

"Oh really?" Blue Star waved his hand grandly. "Dummy, leave some for our friend!"

"How much?" Red Moon reluctantly spat out a Wind Fire Tribulation Pill. "Is one enough?"

"Get out of here!" Yun Xiao rushed over, shoving the ancient bronze coffin aside. Underneath its bloodied maw, he managed to save about two hundred thousand Wind Fire Tribulation Pills. Out of a million, he only grabbed two hundred thousand!

"My Primordial Void Technique needs to undergo the Wind Fire Tribulation to transform into sacred power. This process requires far more Wind Fire Tribulation Pills than usual... But two hundred thousand as a catalyst should suffice."

Triggering tribulations with the pills, plus Blue Star and Red Moon's power boost, made cultivating in the Wind Fire Tribulation Realm not so daunting for Yun Xiao. The only question was... would the Great Merciful Tribulation still come?

"Bluey and Reddy are much stronger now. It's worth another shot!" Yun Xiao exclaimed. Whether easy or hard, he had to face it! "If the Great Merciful Tribulation comes again, it's like spending money to eradicate the Demon Continent! If not, it's a breakthrough for me, increasing my own capital."

The foundation of their trio, one man and two beasts, still lay with Yun Xiao. His strength was key.

"Let's do this!" After devouring all the Saint Stones and four-fifths of the pills, the ancient bronze coffin transformed into a little black beast. Yun Xiao could clearly feel they seemed a bit fatter... They had literally eaten themselves plump!

Gluttonous, indeed. Seeing them in such a prosperous state, Yun Xiao knew he could once again indulge without a care. The money was earned through his own battles and conquests.

"Sure, the rollercoaster from riches to rags is jarring, but spending money to save your skin is the best investment there is!" Yun Xiao mused. After all, only the living can grow.

With a calm heart, still as an ancient well, he sat cross-legged in the secret chamber. In the last half-hour before the great chaos unfolded, he consumed a large number of Wind Fire Tribulation Pills, bracing himself for the second Wind Fire Tribulation.

"Another Great Merciful Tribulation?" Yun Xiao wondered. The power of the pills coursed through his body, stirring his magic power, flesh, and bones.

Yun Xiao's gaze was fixed above the skies of the Chen Heavenly Mansion. After about twenty breaths, the night sky over the Heavenly Realm was serene. "Seems like the foolhardy laws of the Dao realm have written me off as dead," he concluded. Though he couldn't strike at the Demon Continent again, staying off the radar was ultimately a good thing.

So, Yun Xiao settled in to face his tribulation. Even without the Great Merciful Tribulation, the second Wind Fire Tribulation he faced was at the utmost limit for mortals. To be honest, it was torturous!

In the chamber, Yun Xiao was scorched and buffeted, teetering between life and death, emitting low howls of pain. This Wind Fire Tribulation made him, for the first time, truly understand the difficulty of the path of immortality. But it didn't last long. Soon, he smoothly entered the Mid Wind Fire Tribulation Realm.

"Do I still have time?" Calculating the distance to his ascension, Yun Xiao boldly consumed a second batch of Wind Fire Tribulation Pills, this time thirty thousand, twice as many as before.

The even more formidable third Wind Fire Tribulation descended upon him.

"Damn..." This round was even more brutal. Yun Xiao's flesh and bones were incinerated and obliterated time and again, the cycle of aging and rejuvenation of his flesh was agonizing.

Fortunately, the life-giving power of his Primordial Void Technique was terrifyingly potent, regenerating his flesh quickly, sparing him some of the pain. "The integration of the Yin Void power has indeed balanced things out," he thought. "Less ferocity, but more depth and stability."

Thinking of the night's success in the War of Immortals, Yun Xiao couldn't help but cough at the thought of absorbing the Yin Void power for the third time. "Time is running out, and my body can't endure a fourth Wind Fire Tribulation..."

And so, Yun Xiao, now in the Late Wind Fire Tribulation, suddenly stood up. He soared into the sky on his Sovereign Sword, heading straight for the Ascension Gate.

"From a time when a Sword Cultivator couldn't wield a sword, to now, with Sword Saint Sun as the Prime Minister, and my three aunties serving as the three deans of the Grand Temple, the Heavenly Realm has changed... all thanks to the sword!" Yun Xiao, bathed in the wind, looked coldly towards the first battlefield. "Demon Continent scum, some battles aren't optional, heh..."

Though the Ancestral Temple had been abolished, the mansion still stood, serving as the Demon Continent's main base in the Heavenly Realm. Amidst the enveloping demon mist, a person with silver hair strode towards a dark house.

"Keep searching! Dig three feet into the ground if you must, but find her!" Before Moon Fairy could enter, he heard the furious roar from inside.

BANG! A hulking wolf demon was sent flying out, blood spraying, as it scurried away with its tail between its legs, evidence of the rage of the person inside.

"Eclipse Demon Emperor..." Moon Fairy entered and bowed his head. The black-clad youth in front of him stood with his hands behind his back, his eyes blood red.

WHOOSH! He appeared in front of Moon Fairy, grabbing him by the collar. His face contorted into a fearsome visage, full of fangs and ferocity. "When was the last time you saw my sister?" the Eclipse Demon Emperor asked in a sinister tone.

Moon Fairy thought for a moment, "When you bestowed the Lunar Flame Armor on me." After saying this, he glanced behind him. Among the crowd of Demon Saints stood a fragile and charming woman—Lady Hua Lian.

"After bidding her farewell, I went to cultivate with my master," Moon Fairy added.

"Yes," Lady Hua Lian affirmed with a nod.

BANG! The Eclipse Demon Emperor threw Moon Fairy to the ground, angrily accusing, "You are her servant, and you didn't follow her?!"

"She wouldn't let me follow..." Moon Fairy's gaze was distant, tinged with confusion. "What's happened to her? Is she in trouble?"

"She's gone missing!" Eclipse Demon Emperor's eyes were bloodshot with rage. "Disappearing at this critical moment, it's bound to spell disaster!"

"Trouble..." Scrambling to his feet, Moon Fairy's face was etched with worry. "I'll go find her!"

"Get lost!" Eclipse Demon Emperor kicked him away in a fury, and with a fierce slap, the dark mansion crumbled to the ground. "What are you waiting for? Everyone, get out and find her!"

"Lil Tian," Red Lotus' gentle voice rang out. "Sure, we must search, but we need to stick together. Divine Dawn is in the middle of eradicating Ye Qingtian's remaining followers. Don't let her seize the opportunity in the shadows."

"It's a pity Ye Qingtian's informants are paralyzed. Otherwise, finding someone in this Heavenly Realm wouldn't be difficult," the Gu Emperor remarked, shaking his head. To their experienced eyes, the disappearance of a key figure at such a time was more likely to be ominous than not.

Many demon saints sighed softly. They all knew how dearly the Eclipse Demon Emperor cherished his sister.

"If she's harmed, I swear I'll make millions in this Heavenly Realm pay with their lives for her!" With these fierce words, the dark-haired youth transformed into a whirlwind and charged out!

"Hah." Moon Fairy also stood up. His eyes were bloodshot, his face contorted with anger and clenched fists. He immediately turned and followed Eclipse Demon Emperor.

"Moon Fairy!" Lady Hua Lian called out softly, "Where are you going? It's too dangerous outside."

"Master..." His voice was a mix of rage and sobbing. "If she's gone, my life has no meaning!" With that, he transformed into a tempest, brushing aside all attempts to stop him, and stormed out of the Ancestral Temple.
