ChapterC.1691: Stomachache Abates

<Author’s Notes>

I got home extremely late, so today’s chapter is short.

After waiting, Shiro-san and Olivia-san seemed to have finished their discussion and returned. As expected of Shiro-san, she had calmed Olivia-san down well…… wasn’t the case at all. I feel like Olivia-san is more nervous than before they started talking, seemingly as if she had been given an impossible task.

[Olivia-san, are you alright?]

[I’m very embarrassed to say this, but I can’t speak fallacies before Miyama Kaito-sama, so I would like to refrain from responding to that question.]

Giving such an answer totally sounds like she’s not alright at all though…… Hmmm. Nope, got no clue what’s going on. She’s glancing my way, seemingly unable to settle herself down, but I don’t know why.

While I was tilting my head thinking that, Shiro-san called out to me.

[You need not be that flustered. You can take action when the time is right, so there’s no need to do it today.]

[U- Understood. I will gain some knowledge and ask for advice first before putting it into action.]

H- Hmmm. I don’t really get what’s going on, but Olivia-san seemed to have comprehended something, so I guess it’s alright?

[……Well then, I have accomplished my purpose, and I can’t disturb Shallow Vernal-sama and Miyama Kaito-sama, so I will take my leave.]

[Arehh? Is it alright not seeing Laguna-san and the others?]

[Yes, it’s not advisable for me to attend ceremonies in my position…… However, I suppose you’re right. It might indeed be polite to say a few words of greetings to them first.]

Those words were something I spoke reflexively. Olivia-san is well-known even in the Human Realm, so wondering whether it’s alright if she doesn’t greet the King, Laguna-san, I asked her that…… but I may have asked something unnecessary.

If I hadn’t unnecessarily spoken, Olivia-san would have returned immediately, but it feels like my words had shifted her thinking towards greeting Laguna-san.

[It’s just right, as it seems like Lilia is also near her current location.]

[Is that so? Lilia Albert, if I’m not mistaken, was one of Miyama Kaito-sama’s lovers, and was a noble with close ties to the God Realm, wasn’t she?]

[Yes…… She had received the True Blessing of God of Time and Space.]

Unnn? Just now, I felt like Shiro-san was unusually having second thoughts, as if she was hesitant to say something…… Ah, no, rather than that, Lilia-san is in trouble. With the flow of the conversation, it definitely feels like things are heading in a direction that’s inconvenient for Lilia-san……

[Moreover, I had also given her a castle.]

[What!? She’s someone who had directly received Shallow Vernal-sama’s kindness…… So that’s how it is. During the White God Festival, I had been conducting myself under the prayer etiquette and hadn’t exchanged greetings with her back then, but if she’s such an important figure, it would be a good idea to extend my greetings to her.]

Ahh, this is bad. Lilia-san is in danger. The flag of her getting a stomachache had just been raised……

[Fumu, greeting the Lilia of this timeline would hold no meaning for the Lilia in the original timeline…… Ahh, no, I suppose it won’t be a problem if Lilia just carries over her memories of this timeline to the original timeline. With that, you could simply greet her as usual.]

[Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity……]

……Why is Lilia-san always going through such…… No, that aside, why is Lilia-san even with Laguna-san? Was it simply that she had just given her greetings at this time?

<Afterword>

Serious-senpai : [Why are you doing such a horrible (memory transfer) thing to her……]
