Chapter 50: Dave's Death
"Uhhh nice to meet you as well?" Kaden said with uncertainty as he had never had someone address him so formally before.
Dave was a skinny and medium-built guy that had flat black hair and blue eyes which looked kind of strange because his iris had a slight twinkle in both eyes on the upper iris. Not only that but the eye had a circle around the entirety of it that was completely white. It looked like one of those fancy scopes you would see in some futuristic set war movie.
"Thank you for adding me to your family so that I may live once again. I am truly in your debt and await your orders." Dave said sincerely with his head still low and kneeled down.
Kaden didn't know how to respond much less where to start so he just began asking the questions that he wanted to know, "So what is your class and rank exactly?" Kaden questioned.
Dave looked at Kaden curiously, "Boss I may not know much about your class but I was given some knowledge when you first made me join your family. If you look in your member's tab you should be able to see anything and everything about me." Dave said confidently.
Kaden took his advice and looked at the member tab of his family and found that when he clicked on it he found the name, rank, and class name of all of those in his family, Sky included. When he looked down at Dave's it looked something like this.

[Class: Covert Sniper]
[Potential: S-]
[Current Rank: F+]
'How am I surrounded by so many S ranks?!' Kaden shouted within his mind. He feels that it's strange that so many people that he has met so far have had such high potential. This was not a common thing and he was interested to see the reactions of those that realize just how many S ranks there are.
"This is amazing! Your class is not even close to what I was expecting but I'm happy to have you onboard." Kaden said with a smile.
"W-well thank you, boss. I've never heard someone praise me like that before." He said with a smile that was growing on his face.
"You don't have to call me boss. We're partners at this point just treat me as your friend or something." Kaden said. He didn't really like the feeling of being above someone because it made him feel that he was farther away from Dave from a personal standpoint. He didn't want this with anyone that joined his family.
This astonished Dave and he quickly replied bowing lower, "A-are you sure about this boss? Will you not be angry if I act in such a friendly manner?" He questioned nervously.
Kaden didn't understand why he was acting that way, "Of course it's fine. You can also stop kneeling now, friends don't kneel to each other. Why would you think that this wouldn't be ok?" Kaden questioned.
Dave took a moment to reply as he gulped in seemingly nervousness before continuing, "The group I was in before the Diamond Brigade had strict rules when it came to the hierarchy of the group. If I were to even try and speak to someone above me in such a familiar way I would end up in huge trouble and be beaten as punishment." He said reluctantly as he stood up following what Kaden said.
This sentence revealed a lot for Kaden. Not only did he now know what the name of the group that had been terrorizing the world was but he also had the idea that not everyone was being treated fairly or kindly in this group which left options for Kaden if he were ever to need them.
"I'm sorry to hear that. You don't have to worry about something like that with me. You can just live your life like you normally do besides when I may need you. Does that sound good enough?" Kaden asked to his new member.
Dave's eyes brightened quickly, "Can I really?! Thank you so much boss- I mean Kaden."
"How did you know my name?" Kaden asked surprised.
"I was given a lot of information about you when you added me to your family. Nothing like your past memories or anything like that but small things like your tendencies, name, and age among other things. In fact, I am only a few years older than you!" Dave said with a smile.
Kaden tried to look at Dave's class screen some more to find anything that may find his age or something like what he got on Kaden but there was nothing, "So how old are you exactly then?" Kaden asked.
"I'm 25 years old!" Dave said still smiling.
'That's a lot more than a few more years!!' Kaden shouted within his mind.
"Oh I see well that makes sense. Anyway, why were you killed by the Kitsune masked person?" Kaden asked with curiosity.
When Kaden asked this Dave put on a solemn expression, "I was on a mission to kill or capture one of the teachers from the ability school here." Dave said with a little reluctance due to embarrassment.
Kaden was confused once more, 'To kill a teacher? Then does that mean that the Kitsune mask person is one of the teachers at the school? I haven't seen them anywhere before.' Kaden thought back to the school and every teacher he saw and passed during the awakening and other moments on campus but not a single time did he remember seeing the Kitsune mask-wearing person.
"I had no clue that they were a teacher at my school. If you were trying to kill them then how did they find you out? Isn't your class based on stealth and long-range killing?" Kaden asked unsure on whether he was wrong or not.
"You're correct, my class is based purely around killing silently and efficiently from long range and that was what I intended to do here but when I was lining my shot up on them and was finally ready they suddenly disappeared, and next thing you know I have an arm through my stomach." Dave said shivering in fear as he recounted what happened.
