Chapter 38: Emma's Problems
Once Kaden left the school gate he realized that someone had been waiting on him to leave and saw everything that had happened between him and Sky.
"You two seem to be getting along quite well." Emma said leaning against the wall outside the gate.
Kaden jumped a little when he realized she was there but quickly composed himself, "We have known each other a long time already so, of course, we get along otherwise I wouldn't have visited her as much as I did." Kaden said thinking this was an obvious answer but Emma did not seem ok with this answer.
"No not that kind of getting along." She started as she got off the wall and made her way towards him before wrapping her arm around his quickly and rubbing her face on his shoulder, "This kind of getting along." She said with clear disdain.
Kaden was surprised by her sudden gesture and immediately tried shaking her arm off and when that didn't work he began trying to pry her hand off with his own but he was surprised that even when he exerted his full F+ rank force she wouldn't budge. Even though his class didn't specialize in strength he still considered himself quite strong for the group of people that surrounded him.
"Why are you pushing me away but not her." Emma said before letting go of Kaden's arm and staring at him closely.
The look on her face was no longer kind and she had an almost crazed look on her face as she talked about Sky but now that Kaden realized what she was getting at he began getting annoyed as well, "I don't push her away because she has given me exactly what I have always wanted. Pure and devoted attention. She hasn't had any ulterior motives or thought of anyone else or anything for that matter. All she has tried to do is be kind to me and show how much she cares and if she wants to be that way then I will most certainly oblige and show her the same amount of care and attention she gives me. You know why you don't get that. Don't act like you have forgotten about the movie. In fact most of the things before that show exactly why you don't get that from me." Kaden said with his anger rising with each second.
When Kaden mentioned the movie her anger faltered a little and showed a regretful expression but it was quickly changed back to a more deviant one and full of anger, "It's not my fault you didn't like what I was doing! You should have stayed like a good little pawn and obeyed my orders like the servant you are!" She shouted out of anger revealing her true thoughts which didn't faze Kaden in the slightest as he had already known this truth for a while now.
Emma's entire 7 group was just a way for her to toy with boys however she pleased and fill her sickly desire. It would be one thing if she actually cared for them and wanted to date them all but this was not the case. She saw them as less than humans and just play things for her amusement and this was the exact reason why Kaden had distanced himself from her. All it took was one time and her was through with her atitiude.
"See! This is exactly what I'm talking about! You never cared in the first place. I'm no longer yours and if I want to be Sky's then you need to deal with it. It's no longer any of your business." Kaden said firmly before walking off quickly.
Emma realized her mistake and she quickly tried to correct it but it was far too late, "Kaden wait! I didn't mean that! I was just angry! Please don't go we can talk this out." She tried to reason but Kaden was out of her vision within moments not allowing her time to find her ride and chase after him.
Once she realized that he was completely gone she fell to her knees and her eyes became an eerie void while she began hugging herself with the arms that were previously around Kaden. Within her mind she began going a little mad, "I miss it. I want it back. I need it. I want it. I will take it. I will steal it. At all costs." She chanted within her mind with a crazy expression. If Kaden were to see this now he would be quite astonished as he had no clue that Emma could even act this way.
In fact he was quite astonished as he had returned to say something and saw her in such a state. Emma had no idea he was there it seemed like her eyes had gone completely dark but Kaden decided to touch her shoulder to see if she was alright since he had no idea what happened.
"Are you ok?" He asked slightly concerned as he touched her shoulder. The moment his hand touched her shoulder her eyes regained some clarity and she realized that Kaden was right there.
"Yes, I'm alright sorry for that. I must be really tired from the exam or something." She said sounding flustered and even wouldn't look Kaden in the eye.
Since she said she was alright Kaden didn't care any longer and just went forward with the reason he had come back, "I just wanted to say thanks for the help in the exam." He said kind of annoyed at himself that he was thanking the very person he didn't like in the slightest but he felt it was necessary considering how much she had done for him.
She smiled at this, "No problem. Like I said you would have more of an impact than me so it was just the most logical choice." She continued though her smile betrayed her true thoughts.
Kaden then waved her off as if it didn't matter about the specifics and began walking away once more before he whispered something for only her to hear, "Also I'm certain that it was you that helped with my class screening earlier. I have no idea how you did it nor care but thanks." He said before walking away for real this time.
