Chapter 19: The 7
Ken followed Emma to her limo and they both got inside much to the surprise of the butler who was about to ask how his master knew Ken but Emma beat him to the punch, "This is Ken he will be joining us for a while." Emma said to the butler with a smile that made him understand what was happening.
"I see, welcome Mister Ken, I hope you enjoy your stay here and if you need anything don't hesitate to ask me or any of the other servants here." He said to Ken with a smile.
After this the butler drove them through the gate which had been opened by the previous guards revealing a large estate that would make any A list celebrity drool in envy. The place even had a large water attraction in the middle of the circular driveway.
"Sorry I showed up so unexpected if I knew you would have been gone so long I would have asked you tomorrow or shown up later. I thought you would have arrived before me since you left before me and had a car after all." Ken said apologizing and chuckling to himself at the last sentence.
"No worries I had a friend I needed to visit to collect some things. Just be glad that I showed up when I did because the guards here aren't the most forgiving." Emma said chuckling to herself as well.
Ken then shivered thinking about how they were handling him before Emma arrived, "They definitely are good at their job." Ken said halfheartedly.
At this point both Emma and Ken had exited the vehicle and were currently at the front door of the estate, "I have to add this place is absolutely ginormous!" Ken said in awe as he looked around trying to take in everything that he could see.
Emma smiled at his comment before putting on a smug face, "Just wait until you see the inside of it." She said before opening the doors of the place revealing a wide room with a set of stairs on each side and a long hallway on the main floor easily seen leading to many other hallways and rooms.
"Woahhhh!" Ken couldn't help but let out in even more awe than before as the sheer size of the inside was even more than he imagined from the outside. Matter of fact he even spotted what seemed to be stairs leading downward down the hall and there was no telling how large it was down there.
"Pfft!" Emma couldn't help but start giggling at his reaction making him blush and start fiddling with his hands seemingly more nervous than before. This was due to him realizing his situation. He was in a girls house that he thought was cute by himself.
"That's mean!" Ken said like a pouting maiden unhappy at her laughing at him.
Ignoring Ken's reaction completely Emma felt it was finally time to get down to business and see why he was here, "Follow me to the dining room." Emma said making Ken follow once more down the long hallway before she opened one of the doors leading into a large dining room with a wooden table that took up half the room with many chairs all around it leaving Ken in awe once more but was quickly taken out of it as Emma sat down in one of the chairs gesturing for Ken to take the one across from her and putting her chin in her other hand.
"So what brings you here today Ken, I'm sure it's not something simple since you insisted with my guards." She said genuinely interested to hear what he would say.
Ken then got a slight blush looking all around the room refusing to look in her eyes for a moment before seemingly having a resolute moment and looking into her eyes, "I would like to become one of the 7." He said confidently.
*SLAM*
Emma's head slammed against the table as her arm slipped due to the sudden surprise of the question. Her usual smiley attitude that she showed to Ken so far was immediately gone replaced by a serious face, "How do you know about that?" She asked sternly looking him straight in the eyes surprising him and making him slightly recoil in fright from the seriousness she was showing.
"Uh uh Kaden told me about it earlier today..." Ken said stuttering slightly still surprised by the sudden change in tone by Emma.
"Kaden told you about this? Why would he do that?" Emma said confused about the situation until she remembered when Kaden and Ken first met this morning and Kaden whispered in his ear.
"He told me this morning that if I wanted to get closer to you I need to come and meet you after school and ask about the 7." Ken said hesitantly which confirmed Emma's suspicions on when it was said to Ken.
"I see. So do you know what the 7 entails Ken?" Emma said to him still staying in her serious tone of speaking.
"Actually, I don't know much but if it lets me get to know you better then I assume it must be worth it. Ever since I met you at the awakening ceremony, I couldn't help it your bubbly personality and your niceness to everyone attracted me." He said stuttering a little still embarrassed by everything he was saying.
Emma seemed to be thinking for a moment contemplating whether to tell him about it or not. After a moments hesitation she made her decision, "Well thank you for your kindness! I would love to get to know you better as well and bring you into the 7, we just got an opening after all!" Emma said switching back to her normal bubbly personality and began leading the blushing Ken back down the hallway by his hand and leading him downstairs to a place that would change his life and perception of Emma forever.
